I've enjoyed watching this entire video. It has been very helpful as I do own this amazing machine and I've had a lot of fun playing it and working with it.

I've always wondered how most recent entry-level models such as the E-473 stand up sound-wise to the 740.

"With the Yamaha PSR-740, it can happen that after using the USB emulator for some time, the keyboard suddenly stops working. All keys become isolated, producing no sound. Other functions remain active, but all keys, both white and black, go silent. The strange thing is that if you use the MIDI interface and connect the keyboard to your PC under the control of a program like Cakewalk, for example, the keys regain their sound. However, as soon as you turn off the PC or close the program, they go silent again." I don't understand

Hii I have saved only the tones in registration memory. The problem is when I change the tones from one to another the transpose option goes to the original position For example if I initially transposed my first tone from D to C and if I change my next tone registered the tone defaulty goes to D not to C. Is there any settings in keyboard for this.

This is kinda PSR-SX700 of the time.
Oh, just realized you mentioned SX series.

I'd say it's like the E4 series, not the SX.

That is, in terms of sounds.

Shows how much you know, this this an SX equivalent, this was a mid range keyboard when it was new, just because it has sounds from the E400 series doesn't mean that its that keyboards equivalent, this was not an entry level keyboard so it does not compare

@@KeyboardKrazy49 Oh... this really doesn't sound like an SX keyboard. While the features are similar, the sounds really make me feel like it's an E series keyboard. I've done a lot of research into keyboards and I can say that the SX600 is really an S770 or S775 with reduced expansion memory and a few added sounds from other countries. This keyboard, though, is nothing like it for my purposes.

I didnt say that it sounds like a PSR-SX keyboard, I said that todays eqluivalent of the PSR-640/740 keyboard is the PSR-SX700/900 as they are all mid ranged keyboards, the flagship keyboard when the PSR-640/740 was released was the PSR-9000, todays equivalet to that would be the Genos as that is the current flagship keyboard, you might want to dig a little deeper into research and take notes from my comments and what I say on my videos, I said 'equivalent', I didnt say that it sounds like an SX keyboard at all.

my button written "memory "doesn't work, so i can't change instruments quickly, can you help me?

The only way that I can think of is to open up the keyboard and see if it needs resoldering, if the memory button doesn’t work, then you can’t toggle between registration and one touch setting
