3 Summers elicits a gutteral bitter sweetness deep inside me that's hard to describe. It serves as a loud outlet for catharsis. I think the lyrics are absolutely beautiful in describing Jeff's vulnerability. When Jeff said, "I danced and sang, and I held my friends for three whole summers" I felt that to the marrow in my bones. I love and cherish my friends. Tldr: Jeff is a good person and I feel similarly frustrated at the world and critical of myself.
this fuckin album, man. this album changed my life, in the truest and most literal sense possible. it's like jeff was able to distill and bottle up all of the angst, fear, rage, love, schadenfreude, amazement, joy, and confusion of my late 20s into this wonderful little package and then just present it to me. 3 summers, in particular, blew the lid off my complacency with my life and scared the living shit out of me in a profound way that i don't think i can properly explain. all my friends had either moved on or endured the pandemic with me, and there was so little that felt like it was giving my life any purpose, especially in light of the decaying world at large. despite having gotten everything i could have ever wanted, i still felt so empty and unsatisfied. and listening to that song was the first time i had to reckon with the fact that everything i had done so far hadn't worked to fill that void; not graduating from college, getting my own job, falling in love, or anything else. so, after a few months, i moved across the country to start over, and it's been the most fulfilling and chaotic process i couldn't have ever imagined, but it's finally made me feel somewhat alive again. conscious of the injustice of the world, yes (because not everyone can _do_ that), but liberated enough to keep moving forward, and get to a point where i can do something to rectify that. i still love every single one of my friends, but being able to scream "you can't help me anymore" at the top of my lungs has just done something for me that none of them could ever do. that maybe i'm broken in a way that can't be healed by the care of others, or maybe that i don't hurt in the same ways as i used to, but y'know what, i can at least take care of me, and use the voice that i have to express that hurt. and that's the best stab at getting better any of us have got. thanks for reminding me of that, jeff. i owe you.

Full force rock n roll enjoyment from the first track to the last. A real sonic gem from an artist that is new to me, but certainly not the last of his music that I will be exploring. Definitely one of the best albums to come across my feed this year.
You wont find any bad album in their discography! Worry may be the title album (and its not like it doesnt fill that space perfectly) but theyre all decent. I'd recommend 'festival song', thats always been one of my favourites despite being a lesser known song. Hope you have fun exploring, i truly love that moment i stumble upon another great artist.
I seriously can't wait to get in the pit this coming December! WILL U STILL U is now my favorite Death Rosenstock opener, even better than Twinkle and I can't wait to expel some energy along with every other beautiful person at the LA show!!
I remember going to my first Jeff show when he was touring POST- and meeting Christine at the merch table. So cool how much she's involved with everything he does!
There is a HUGE Weezer/Power Pop influence throughout the project that I really enjoy! I’ve always admired Jeff’s ear for melody and this album really showcases that. Also, anybody else get a Blink-182 vibe from the chorus to “Head”? He sounds like Mark Hoppus!
It's quite stange but it makes me think on this chorus of Stupeflip, a french band (i'm french), the chorus of the song "ce petit blouson en daim" on the album "the hypnoflip invasion" and all the punk rock songs of this band. The voice and the variations of the voice. But sure it's not intentionnal !
I assume one day Jeff will make an album that doesn't exceed my stupidly high expectations. That shit ain't today though. Counting the days until the Royal Oak show. I'll be going apeshit.
