This song is everything about me and my mother (of course excluding the obvious partner references).... She killed herself just last year... We were at odds and not speaking.... She tried to call me the night that it happened but she called a stranger instead because she never got rid of my old number in her phone, and so she pressed the wrong one. So I never got to apologise to her or tell her how much she meant to me. All I have now is regret, a voicemail of her saying goodbye, and this song saying how I felt.
