I think they did this by recording with a really low frame rate and slowing it down during editing.... that’s interesting tho because it’s harder to capture night shots with a low frame rate so they possibly used a reeeeally wide lens? I dig it, nice job 🥰

I think they could have used stills. Just really fast shutter, a low light camera like the alpha 7 and a really fast lens could do the trick. I don't see any deformation or barrell effect from wide lens.

you nailed it Tessa, slow shutter with a wide lens, slowed in post, possibly shot at 60 fps with some areas sped up. They used a few lenses and possibly mirrorless or dslr due to the noise (grain), which makes it look like film.
