    The ball on the artillery pickelhaube was supposedly added to stop gunners stabbing the limber horses with the spike.

    Nice looking Prussians, the Perry’s have done their usual great work. The cottonwool is to stop the figures rattling around in the boxes after all you want your Fireman Sam to arrive in good condition!

    As soon as you said "I don't know why but the Prussians always remind me of...." I knew what you were going to say and I thought ha! the firemen from Trumpton. Certainly the figure you were holding as you said it was very Trumptonesque in appearance.

      @@BattleMatt I knew someone once that had a set of train wagons that were things like "Pew&Pew Dairy" and "Barney McGrews Potatos" lol
