Brandon Tyler - we don't deserve God's gift but Christ came down anyway.. God bless you Brandon. If you look into ABR is actually Christian leaning lyrics. At least some of the members are👍🏼👍🏼
Mie Rematik The yelling is what makes metal music so emotional and powerful. Sometimes in life, pain and anger, frustration and fear cant always be perceived through a calm voice. I understand though, i hated the screaming in metal at one point in my life, now this music is all i can listen to.
"I'll leave the world as it was given to. Flowing full of life, filled with diversity" This line touches deep into my heart and the guitar riff while Jake's screaming those lines just suits it so perfectly. Such a great band! Whether their lyrics are about their faith in Christ, loss of a loved one or life struggles, they give all their emotions into their songs. Music does not just require skills or having amazing talents in composing. It also requires writing it with all your heart. Which this band does perfectly!
My jaw dropped and i got chills when the song came roaring back in after that synth/quiet bridge. I can't describe how amazing this song is, which I believe is a contender for best in ABR history... mind=BLOWN
This is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. I keep coming back to it time and time again. Everything about it is amazing: the sound, the ambiance, the performance, and the message. It's truly extraordinary. I absolutely love this song.
I like how you first think this is the darkest, most sinister song on the album and at 0:46 It shines bright and hopeful without losing any of it’s temper. Amazing.
MAN, as a native hispanic speaker I don't get what many metalcore songs talk about til I read the lyrics, and dude, this one is so full of hope and wholesomeness! I will make the right choices!
I knew this album was going to be fantastic. Invisible Enemy and The Frost were some of the best songs I'd heard from August Burns Red. But holy shit, I didn't expect this album to shake me so hard, to move me and make me feel alive. I can't express this, I'm on the verge of tears at the moment. Thank you so much ABR, listening to this album for the first time tonight has brought me more joy and feeling than I thought possible. I don't think I'll ever not be in love with your music. This is by far your best album to date
Beginning reminds me of Define The Great Line era Underøath, then it transforms into some Misery Signals vibes and naturally some Counterparts thrown in for good measure. Amazing that these guys continue to improve with each release. They’re titans of the genre just like the aforementioned bands. Incredible work.
It's been over a decade since the masterpieces Thrill Seeker and Messengers were released, and even after over ten years and multiple amazing albums these guys are still. so. fucking. good. Nothing but admiration for this band!
The love of Christ just flows through everything these guys do. Can we all just agree that they are so ahead of their fellow artists? Like wow standing ovation outstanding work
mwboost Jesus loves everyone though, so hes not wrong. Not to get religious 😂 Im not a believer, but i do believe this is the greatest band on the planet.
After listening to a minute of each song, I can personally say this is like a Messengers/Rescue&Restore kinda album. They sat down and said messengers 2? Yes. But let's keep bringing creative elements to the table and BAM this album was the baby of it all
WOW! This the first album I have heard by abr and I LOVED IT! I like how every song sounds different and unique in its own way. Instrumentals were great, vocals and lyrics too. My favs deffinetly are "the frost" "Quake" and " Float" or just the whole album really ... YEAH! The whole album is my favorite. Really looking forward to hear to the rest of their albums
I think it's safe to say that this is their Black Album (i.e. full maturation of the band and *their* sound). All of their other records have a unique and different sound that distinguishes them from the previous ones - you could tell they were experimenting and exploring new ideas while still maintaining their core sound (and managing to put out the same great quality music). Over a decade of experimentation, exploring new ideas, and evolving as a band has lead to the creation of "Phantom Anthem" that proves to be the sum of all their previous work. It's a modern masterpiece !
This album is flawless. Ive been listening to it since its release and every month my favourite song seems to change. This might be a definite favourite though. Or maybe generations.
that lick at 1:03 makes me weak in the knees. I'm proud of the music I make but one day I hope to reach this level if instrument mastery. Abr opened my eyes and inspired me big time, and for that I couldn't be more thankful
I love how the song starts like a typical metal core song, a carbon copy. Then they switch it up to ABR level of skill and shredding. It’s like they’re pointing out the carbon copies and comparing them to how ABR has evolved and grown
August Burns Red are metalcore daddy’s, listen to every album. There is either a new element to there game they add. ABR is ABR. You can’t say this is up there with Counterparts or Silverstein lol. It’s like comparing Apples and Oranges
Am I the only one who hears the direct similarity to basically anything from Erra's "Augment" album? So far from being a bad thing, this might be one of the best, most fulfilling to-length albums I've ever heard. This album deserves to be played in it's entirety in concert, like right now.
Intro gave me Define The Great Line era Underøath vibes and then hit me with some Misery Signals with a hint of Counterparts. I hear Erra in there as well too. Not bad company at all. Definitely my favorite off the new album.
this shit ultra slaps. sounds like ABR still... but like progressed a hair? this entire song is composed on strictly strong riffs. all killer no filler.
We don’t deserve August Burns Red
Brandon Tyler - we don't deserve God's gift but Christ came down anyway.. God bless you Brandon. If you look into ABR is actually Christian leaning lyrics. At least some of the members are👍🏼👍🏼
It's the August Burns Red we need tho ;)
More of this please..
not all of them??
I need them inside me
that lead part starting at 0:46 tho....always made me smile
That part got me in the feels the riff last through the whole song!! lol
So did 1:04
I think this may be the best August Burns Red song ever
Your profile pic is mfw listening to this album
It’s pretty legit
You're right and wrong at the same time :P Part of the beauty of music is that it's too subjective to be able to say if it's the best.
Mie Rematik

Listen to Meridian by August Burns Red. Not alot of screaming. Also Creative Captivity.
Its 3 am and I dont want to sleep, i just NEED to listen to this song, this album forever
WRONG...it is "headbang" am and you can't sleep. You need to listen to this song, this album. Forever.
It's time now
That synth section hits really hard man.
Absolute favorite song in ABR's history. Like, my god. This is peak right here.
Peak in there 8th album which is mind blowing!!!
I Always Love the way ABR throws in chill sounds like 3:36 to 4:27.
It's like a moment to reflect on the words of the song and find its meaning.
S FOUR then they bring it back with the crush dude such an epic aspect of their music.

4:23 until the end of the song is one of the greatest things ive ever heard.

Justin Rogers so funny because this is exactly how I feel! They are the best band out there! They stand out above the rest. Truly amazing!
Same here. When I heard Invisible Enemy I knew it was gonna be one their best.
^what he said
Easily the best song on here is-
Wait is a whole album a song? Because this is the fucking best album theyve made so far!!!
The Frost is the weakest song on the record hands down. I almost always skip it.
This album is so good.
By far the best off this album
Beginning reminds me of Define The Great Line era Underøath, then it transforms into some Misery Signals vibes and naturally some Counterparts thrown in for good measure. Amazing that these guys continue to improve with each release. They’re titans of the genre just like the aforementioned bands. Incredible work.
When you think that they can't outdo themselves anymore, they release this record. I believe now that nothing is impossible for great bands.
ABR knocks it out of the park again. On my 5th listen-through of the album.
those are rookie numbers lol
the guitar leads in this are gorgeous

Pretty sure they're not all Christians though. But anyways.
mwboost
Jesus loves everyone though, so hes not wrong.
Not to get religious 😂
Im not a believer, but i do believe this is the greatest band on the planet.
@@mwboost they are though. lol
@@Revan-eb1wb they said in an interview not long ago they weren't all christian. 🤷♂️

2:41 just blows my mind!!!
This the only bands that can get me in the feels just with a guitar riff 😤
After listening to a minute of each song, I can personally say this is like a Messengers/Rescue&Restore kinda album. They sat down and said messengers 2? Yes. But let's keep bringing creative elements to the table and BAM this album was the baby of it all
Craig Wooden agreed. exactly what I feel son. Messengers x Rescue & Restore
Craig Wooden Oh yes. Just yes.
Roger Rabbit Yessss I'm tearing up this song is so beautiful haha
Album of the century!
MyLast Breath Counterparts
they´re great too! but in my opinion nobody can reach ABR...but it´s a matter of taste of course
When the riff perfectly hit you right after the breakdown..! (0:46)
That lead guitar part at 1:03 😍 Dustin always shreds fucking hard!
David Marsh Dustin is the bass player. JB is the lead guitarist.
jayemm23 Dustin wrote and recorded this song, Lifeline, and Laniakea.
David Marsh I figured he didnt play lead on this song.
Where did you see the songwriting info? I can't find it anywhere.
Bradley Cooper-Graham On ABR's instagram, they say he wrote lifeline. But I cant find anything that give any info if Dustin wrote this.
Without a doubt their best song. Absolute perfection
This song raises my will to live.
Thanks guys
Lucas Medeiros me too
Beautiful song! God bless you guys!!!
Just. So. Good. Geniuses. Genre of their own. I can't. Getting ABR tattooed on my face tomorrow.
Genre of their own. You hit the nail on the head there
WOW! This the first album I have heard by abr and I LOVED IT! I like how every song sounds different and unique in its own way. Instrumentals were great, vocals and lyrics too. Ricky Smart Hell yeah! Definitely check out Rescue and Restore, it's a fucking modern metalcore classic :)
Lol those are exactly my top 3 songs off of this album. Have fun hearing all their other amazing material!
Out of all the ABR songs, I think this one is the best one they've made. I never thought I could say that because they're all amazing. But this.
In my top 5 ABR songs for sure. I love the guitar melody at 1:21
Favorite song on the album for sure.
Goddamnit I'm fucking in love with this band
Ollie Burns Me too, ten years now!

Well done August Burns Red. well done.
Album of the year 🤘🏽
DCBURNSRED Counterparts
No idea how this got ranked 6th place in the Album of the Year rankings. Best one this year by far for me.
This album is just pure awesomness!! SICK guitars and probably the best drummer ever!!!!
This song gives mee the goose bumps in a good way wauw!
4:23 that is one of the most beautiful endings ive ever heard in a song. What a fucking album.
i'm here to thumb up every single ABR album
The Second Step
I think it's safe to say that this is their Black Album (i.e. full maturation of the band and *their* sound). One of the best songs on the album. Well done lads!

ABR *always* delivers. Such a badass band.
Awsome album!

Great album once again! God,I love these guys:) Beautiful
The most sentimental song I hear from august. Sounds slow but heavy
OK this band is better than i thought
One of the best songs they have ever released. Phenomenal
MASTERPIECE !!
The album is just Phenomenal , this is one of my favourites after Generations ,
and that part right after the synths is just killer \m/
how the hell do you pick a setlist out of this album? they'll just have to play the whole thing...please..
ABR for life
I'll leave the world as it was given to me
Flowing full of life and filled with diversity
Beauty In Tragedy 2.0
that lick at 1:03 makes me weak in the knees. I'm proud of the music I make but one day I hope to reach this level if instrument mastery. Abr opened my eyes and inspired me big time, and for that I couldn't be more thankful
so god damn heavy it has it creates its own gravitational field
Great song
Great
SOLID ALBUM!
Thanks
This on the level of redemption and Marianis trench
I hope Dustin writes more than two songs on the next album. He's clearly the best guitarist and song writer in the band.
Dustin + JB = Holy Riff
Say hello to Guardians. :)
I love how the song starts like a typical metal core song, a carbon copy. Then they switch it up to ABR level of skill and shredding. It’s like they’re pointing out the carbon copies and comparing them to how ABR has evolved and grown
After hearing this song and Lifeline, it’s pretty clear that Dustin is the best guitarist in the band. Just a beast of a writer! Epic riff age.
powerfull this voice metalcore
August Burns Red are metalcore daddy’s, listen to every album. There is either a new element to there game they add. ABR is ABR. You can’t say this is up there with Counterparts or Silverstein lol. It’s like comparing Apples and Oranges
1:02 The best arrange of August Burns Red.
Just incredible. 1:04🔥🔥
2:43 how?
best ending to an album ever???? maybe
cool very cool
Yessssssssssssssssss
Jb you're fucking amazing
I get such Shai Hulud vibes from this one idky....me love.
Yes a lot of these groups like this were inspired by them
Cool
Best anime song of the entire album ^^
GREAT SONG ;)

Best on the album IMO
Forest Goddard oh hi there
Ayyyoo
Major ERRA vibes, and I'm very ok with that.
can't wait to see them together again this winter!
Reese Tussey dude that lead guitar is sooooooooo tasty and amazing. I thought the same thing. It’s like ABR and ERRA had a baby
Intro gave me Define The Great Line era Underøath vibes and then hit me with some Misery Signals with a hint of Counterparts. I hear Erra in there as well too. Not bad company at all. Definitely my favorite off the new album.
Dude after I finished this song, that was what I was thinking too. Kind of like the artficials.
SAME WITH THE MISERY - ALSO BEING AS A OCEAN NEAR THE END
this shit ultra slaps. sounds like ABR still... but like progressed a hair? this entire song is composed on strictly strong riffs. all killer no filler.
the leads aren't the same leads we've been hearing. ERRA-like almost to a degree.
@@paultatersyeah got that as well, the riffs give me a bit of a Dementia vibe
The tuning and riffs always remind me of Saosin
IT'S STARING US IN THE FACE
BUT WE JUST TURN THE OTHER WAY!
Anyone find the double kick pattern around 2:00 to be so damn catchy?
Blessed2Shred totally...I love those breaks in the guitar and bass just to hear those cymbals crash
so fucking consistent
