Beyond atmosphere creating, the entire segment created such an immense amount of emotion and energy, you did an unbelievable job sir. Being an alto/baritone sax played for most of my life this is beyond beautiful to see happen especially with BMTH. You are a genius
Wow... I finally saw you... The man leading the orchestra... It wasn't just fun.. It was majestic. Classical+metal+choir. I can hear Each instrument. Thank you Simon.
I highly recommend you check out the entire concert. The idea to combine their songs with a Orchestra and Choir was a brilliant idea. They also had to recompose these songs for the entire concert to give them a natural feel.
That show at the Royal Albert Hall was absolutely amazing. That specific version was what drew me into the band and I dove in hard. You were spot on with the drop...I couldn't tell you how many times I've watched this version and I get chills every damn time. They had the 55 piece orchestra and 15 or 16 (I think) people choir cause this show was a fundraiser for teens with cancer. One of Oli's childhood friends from AUS had just beaten bone cancer. Sadly, it wasn't long after that it returned and he passed before Oli had a chance to say goodbye. He had been writing his friend a letter and that letter turned into the song "I Don't Know What To Say" from their album "amo." The lyrics are so good and relatable for so many people. To my knowledge they've never performed it live. If you don't react to it at least check it out. But yeah, this band is def on the list of bands that helps me to keep going. I have so much respect for people who tell their stories even if it's hard cause it helps so many people and in doing so they help fans to heal and that helps the band heal. It's really beautiful. This is the first vid of yours that I"ve seen and it was a great reaction! There's a playlist on RUclips of the whole show and it's DEFINITELY worth checking out if you don't react to other songs from that show. It's a show I watch fairly regularly haha If you wanna check out an older song that's heavier I absolutely love "Blessed With A Curse." If you want something lighter, check out "Mother Tongue" or "Deathbeds." If you wanna hear their most popular recent release then check out "Ludens," that they wrote in 5 days specifically for the video game Death Stranding. It's incredible!
You should totally check out the band "While She Sleeps." Another UK band that's more hardcore. They have a song that features Oli called "Silence Speaks" that's really good. Their songs "Anti-Social", "Guilty Party", and "Fakers Plague"
@@linzombie8455 I'm in the choir that performed with bmth at this show, and we also performed with While she sleeps at the roundhouse in march 2019! Check it out x
@@JukeboxJulia WHAAAA?! I love While She Sleeps too!! How exciting!! I'm really happy for you and that you got to be a part of those 2 events. I'm seriously giddy for you hahaha
The intro was composed by Simon Dobson conducting the Parallax Orchestra here. He's an award winning composer and he also conducted Alter Bridge Live at Albert Hall, a year later, in 2017
God I wish I could have attended this concert, it could have been the most magical time of my life, I love this song and this is all masterfully crafted and beautiful, and I hope one day I can see one of their iconic concerts
The dude who co-wrote this song / produces a lot of their music is visible at 6:58, seen this video multiple times but only just noticed!! Cool fact for anyone curious :) his name is Dan Lancaster, amaaaazing vocalist and songwriter on his own as well
The house of wolves at Wembley in 2014 it’s from the same album as Shadow Moses and has more of the metalcore vibe it would be cool to see you react to it. Good vid bro
The concert live at the Royal Albert Hall absolutely brilliant bmth from Sheffield England loving reactions I'm a new member of the team keeping it real from England
The first concert I know of was the Metsllica S&M show put on in 1999. The conductor thought metal and classical symphonies belonged together and wrote the full accompanying orchestration, and Metsllica put their balls on the line and went for it, and it gave metal significantly greater credibility as a musical genre. I honestly think this show did it better though!
I wrote the "symphony sheet music" for this gig (the opening is original composition). I also conducted the orchestra. Its a fun job.

I would travel the world just to see a concert just like this one! I wish I knew about this back when it was announced!

Thank you Simon.
Simon I have to congratulate you on this as it must be the most beautiful of a concert ever done. Gives me chills every time. Well done
Amazing composition man. Where do you get your inspiration from, or who do you look up to(other composers wise).
