I've remade Paranoia from the ground up (except sprites) with added effects and better visuals to make Paranoia... better. This was a side project that I've worked on for about a month now and gotta say, I had lots of fun making this.

Friday Night Funkin' is a Newgrounds rhythm game made in HaxeFlixel originally created for Ludum Dare 47. Programmed by ninjamuffin99 with a soundtrack produced by Kawai Sprite and artwork created by PhantomArcade and evilsk8r, the game can be played on Newgrounds or played/downloaded for free on itch.io.
The plot of the game centers around Boyfriend trying to hook up with Girlfriend, but her ex-rockstar father Daddy Dearest doesn't approve of him. It's up to Boyfriend to rap battle his way through him and anyone else that stands in his way so that he can finally get freaky! Think you got what it takes?

I actually really like the idea of the camera being warped on the edges like vr, because thats what the virtual boy was, a very early vr so i love that detail. Even if that wasn't the idea

@@Skrillmast3rIt's funny how despite having no relation, they're almost identical in designs but just with different characters. If you just make Virtual's teeth some spiky red hands (like the Faker/Fatal Sonic "teeth") and give him 2 extra arms then you basically have the Jumpman form of Fatal except slightly different.
@@pacifistichuman82649 what makes it funnier is fatal has no reason to be that color that other than choice.
Meanwhile there is a very good reason Virtual looks like this.

the camera panning at the beginning reminded me of fnaf
also everything else looks very well made, keep up the work
I wouldn't essentially call this better. While paranoia took things up a notch when it comes to manipulating the game window, it still felt natural and smooth like FNF is supposed to be. It still felt like FNF and not a whole seperate game. That's what wowed me to begin with. However this one feels unnatural. It has ALOT of affects, the game is borderless, and some of the window movement feels janky. It actually feels a lot more rushed.
Moving what I said above, this is phenomenal in its own way. Seeing this in FNF is wild to me. Give yourself a big pat on the back for this one!
I think how this is better is I recall the headset Mr. V comes from makes the wearer feel very nauseous.
The Virtual Boy's red and black visuals caused people to become extremely nauseous after wearing it for a certain amount of time, most of the people who were affected were kids, that's why it was discontinued.

3:02 This is genuinely one of my favorite parts in any fnf song
I love the effect work here, though it seems pretty overcharted in a few segments, and the removal of the Koopas in the background is weird. Overall, 7/10, keep it up, and hope you improve further.
I think i prefer the zooming/duplication without the borders, so mwybe making that part full screen or to torture people even more made it teleport around the screen while it’d zoomed out would be even better

looks good, new charting is alright, maybe a bit too many consecutive jacks sometimes. A bit of a shame that the "paranoia arrow design" is gone, the koopas behind Mr Virtual and bf, and some background details too in the first part. For the gf part, I kinda liked more the original charting instead of adding slide notes, it added more power for me. As for the final drop, I like how the screen splits cleanly and its not attached, but maybe in the final part, the screens split a bit too much, to the point where you cant see anything for how many they are, I preferred personally a bit more when the screens alternate from being a lot, to less, a lot, less, and so on, but overall, great work, It sure took a lot of coding and skill to make this renewed version, so my truly congrats to you
a recommendation: you could put the Mr.Virtual's Head look at you when the screen begin multiply, that could be more legit

1:55 ema...dude! You don’t know this, but around now you conveyed the whole idea of my oldest nightmare before version 2.0, where everything was spinning and spinning when Mr. Virtual threw me up! There was disorientation, vomiting... and then he basically told me to take a knife and... cut it like a banana... well, you understand what exactly! Knowing that I was dreaming, I started to do it and it was as if it was not a dream, it was a hell of a pain, but then I couldn’t stop doing it!...I will never forget it

hey, just wanna tell you something VERY important while charting a song
when in the song, the same note is played 2 or 3 times, it doesn't mean you should chart the same note
for example, in 2:55, bf sings three of the same notes, but that doesn't mean you should use the same note (in this case, down)
