So for laundry for any of your viewers visiting Ireland, a lot of gas stations (petrol stations) and supermarkets have washers and dryers outside called Revolution laundry, there are hundreds of locations, the machines can take 18kg (39lbs) if needed. I think they have a website showing exact locations. Regarding cash, you shouldn’t need much as since covid most places take debit and credit cards now, cash would be handy for tipping your hotel room cleaner, after a nice meal out or a taxi driver, personally as an Irish resident I just carry my phone, debit card and leap card for public transport in Dublin. Hope that helps x

@tiddlywinks456. Thank you for that information
about Revolution laundry! We’re going to check that out. Well done 😀!
I think you’re right about the cash . We’re taking less this trip.
We always tell viewers if they want to know more information (sometimes more accurate) than we were able to provide, just read the comments from our viewers. We’ve gotten so much information from our viewers . Thanks for the great suggestions.

Hi Chris and Karen. That was a very informative and comprehensive set of points for travelling abroad. I have been to Skellig a number of times in the 80s and 90s. I hear it has become somewhat crowded since Star Wars used it as a location. September should be a little quieter hopefully. I know Karen will love the experience. It's truly a magical place and one of my favourites. I'll try to catch you somewhere in Cork while you're here as I live in Midleton. Happy holidays to you both.

On the 9th September we’re leaving Cashel and heading towards Cork. We plan on stopping in Midleton to see the Choctaw monument Kindred Spirits. We were wondering if it would be better to meet in Midleton in the afternoon for a short visit or meet in Cork city in the early evening? Looking forward to a pint with you 😀👍✌

Watched your videos before our first trip to Ireland last year. Driving video was helpful. Heading back for trip 2 in Sept. will look for your schedule to see if we cross paths.😊

@juliedomaratz435. Thanks so much for your comment! We’re actually planning a get together with viewers in three locations on our trip. We’re posting those spots on the 5th of September on the community post on our channel. For details about times and locations please contact us through the email address provided in that post.
So sorry to be so cryptic about this but we’re pretty sure a couple of people are visiting with us for a pint. I guess we’re trying to get a feel for how many (if any 😂) people will show up. Please watch and contact us!

My wife and I really enjoyed your helpful videos about Ireland. Thank you or doing this. Your Driving on the Left, Packing video, Do Not Do This in Ireland, and 2 videos about Things that Surprised Us were extremely helpful in planning out Ireland Trip in 2025.

@IBPapaB. Thank you very much for your comment!! We have fun but work hard on the research and fact checking, so your comments make us feel good 😀👍
Just got back from our second trip to Ireland so we’ll be releasing new content in a few weeks. In the meantime let us know if you have any questions and we’ll answer the best we can. Have fun planning your 2025 trip!!

@@thissecondhalfadventure One thing I discovered from another video is that an international drivers license is required. We plan on renting a car and self driving. We are going to try to get an automatic. And add on GPS.

@@IBPapaB We’ll double check , but drivers licenses from the U.S. , Canada and EU are accepted in Ireland (up to 12 months) as a tourist . License must be valid for the duration.
Not sure where you live though.
We just found out AAA in the U.S. offers an IDP (per the state department) but it seems to be geared more towards non- EU countries.
Good for you driving 👍👍. Driving a stick shift can be fine for some but there’s enough going on when you’re getting oriented to driving on the left.
We did a video review of a driving video series by Tripiamo. We highly recommend them. It gets more in depth than we could.
Let me know if you have more questions!

@thissecondhalfadventure Okay. Thanks. I'm in Virginia. I can double check with triple A. I didn't want to deal with a stick while also dealing with driving on the left. I'll check out the Tripiamo videos. Thanks for your help.

@@thissecondhalfadventure You are correct an International Drivers License is not required for a US Citizen with a valid drivers license. You can drive for up to 12 months as a tourist.

I have gotten baggage down to a carry-on backpack. Four changes of clothes, including what I am wearing. I buy on site as needed. There is a zoo and Victorian house east of Cork, I can't remember the name. Its on the train ride to Cobh. There is REAL MOZZARELLA cheese that you can buy. Maps are VERY important. Unfortunately, economics won't allow a trp at this point. Check out the Leprechaun Museum in Dublin. It's in the Jervis section, North of the Liffey from Temple Bar. The LUAS will take you right there. Slan.

      @donovanfoto3263. I wish we could manage just a carry on 😀 That’s great 👍
I saw some videos about the zoo. It looks really cool.
Great milk leads to great cheese!
Maps are packed for the trip!
Hoping you can get back to Ireland in the near future.
We’ve got a short time in Dublin, but if it works out we will to see the museum. I remember you enjoyed it very much!
Thanks so much for continuing to watch and comment. We really appreciate your support 😀👍.
