I'm Cynthia Morrow, the lyricist and singer on this. Glad you like it. It was fun to write and even more fun to perform. We ran the vocal track through a Synclavier 2 to get that sound.
Hi Cynthia, I'm interested in licensing this song for a video. Can you help or point me in the right direction?
@Cynthia Morrow-Hattal:
Did the movie producers force you to go through Falken's Maze!?! *_:D_*
Cynthia Morrow-Hattal Love it ! Been A Favorite for years 😘
Utmost respect!
Very cool. This has always been on my list of favorite soundtrack songs!
I believe that Ennio Morricone recorded these songs at some point with synthesizers. They were pretty good, as I recall. It's one one of movie soundtrack albums.
It really is a history lesson if you listen carefully.
Wow. This is my first time hearing this with the vocals.
Just bought this on Amazon. Didn't know there was a version with vocals. Great!
Weird thing is that John Fogerty's "Searchlight" from 1984 sounds a LOT like this!
Brilliant!
I never knew there was a vocal version of this - awesome upload!
Now - I'm getting back to my raw corn on the cob
lol brillers! I love this film. There may be better special effects around these days but it was pure drama when I was young. Goes to show it's not all about CGI, more about suspense! Love it.
This is really fantastic!
another awesome movie.. i got that one on DVD and i love to see it as often as i can (my wife hates it so i can´t see it as often as i like to)
Thank you,Aww fab tune from Wargames starring Matthew Broderick and Alexander Sheedy, Barry Corbin and Dabney Coleman,Love the Falkens Maze tune , Didn't realise it had lyrics in this,Perfect viewing 🎼🎥❤️
freeking sweet! this film I loved as a kid and the tune.
Nice, crisp, compressed drums here. Wish modern engineers knew how to record drums.
@@TFT-bp8zk could be a 505. That snare doesn't sound like the 808
I see I agree with you Supertramp's Logical Song was a maze of dope musical bliss. Just narrowly came out before the 70's ended in 1979.
This world needs more people like Naomi. I'm not particularly enthusiastic about this song as I've never seen the movie, but reading through this guy's channel I can only say thumbs up! Epicness.
“So long as any state has nuclear weapons, others will want them. So long as any such weapons remain, it defies credibility that they will not one day be used, by accident, miscalculation or design. And any such use would be catastrophic. It is sheer luck that the world has escaped such catastrophe until now.”
Cynthia, was there ever a version outside of what was in the movie that was instrumental? (Not to knock your performance, I promise.)
Only around the house. I teach violin and viola, and write musical murder mysteries. My latest, "Unstrung" is at amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com, lots of fun and an obnoxious concertmaster gets knocked off right away.
I have the entire soundtrack on cd. Enjoy!
Naomi0111, it's bloody brillers, brings back so many memories! Cheers mate.
Too short. Bah I'll replay it
Love it! Thank you Cynthia, you rock. Thanks for being way ahead of your time. Have you ever listened to Skrillix. Check out his latest album "Bangarang". You may or may not like his 3rd track "Kyoto".
hahahahahahaha. Oh jesus. Nearly shat myself laughing
Love this creepy song
thank you for this :-)
Anyone know if the instrumental film version of this is posted anywhere?
I remember playing this whenever a nuclear war would happen in civilization two lol since that would actually destroy the world back then
Found it!!
@Cardiff67235 LOL...you rock. In my whole life I never ever thought somebody would understand what "This corn is raw" and "Protovision" means. LOL too funny and cool!
BTW, guess how I butter my corn on the cob. Yep, I'm serious. That's how I do it ;)
I have it on MP3.
why thank you :0) x
bravo--5 stars. t.veijo.finland.
Hi Cynthia! I am actually a collector of WarGames-related memorabilia, and I have a mint-condition vinyl for this one (also the book, VHS, LD, DVD, Coleco game, MAD satire, etc). I would love to have it signed by you, but unfortunately we probably live too far from each other. Your performance in this song is not just amazing, it is magic and fits perfectly in the mood of the movie and the time it was made. Thank you for showing up! Cheers!
What kind of stuff do you have because I also collect Wargames memorabilia. I'd be willing to buy.
STRANGE GAME.
THE ONLY WINNING MOVE IS NOT TO PLAY.
HOW ABOUT A NICE GAME OF CHESS?
Anyone have a link for the instrumental during the credits at the end?
@DanFrederiksen thank you very much
silly brontosaurus!
Naomi how old are you?? Would you care to play Global Thermonuclear Warfare with me in the former Soviet Union? Great Film childhood favorite of mine and I always digged the scores! Kudos!
Didn't they play the instrumental in this movie, no singing? Where's that version?
I have it on vinyl. Don't have anything to play it on. :-(
...probably delicious.
@Justdisco sorry its the only version i have.i agree with you tho.
awsme techno weenie beat
You have a very pretty face ..... Were you related to the deceased Vic Morrow??? The 80's kicked ass totally dope!!!
Vicentox1999 how much do you want for the LP??? Id love to buy it off of you!
Thanks. No relation though. The 80's were pretty interesting musically, but not as cool as the 70's.
That cover does not correlate to the movie.
In the movie his screen was all character based, because he was using a old VT terminal program.
That screen was the one in the movie that was made by WOPR at NORAD.
This is better without the vocal.

@MrJustice01 Second that!! :-D

Um... Can someone please list the lyrics. I feel like an idiot about this, but I can't exactly tell what it is the song is saying except in the chorus it sounds like it said (paraphrased) that all the Japanese are extinct becouse they were waiting in line too long . Yeah I think that might be little wrong, either that or I must have skipped out on history teacher little to much. And what the hell is that even supposed to mean and is it considered racially insencitve and if so how and why IDK.
Paleozoic
Then Mesozoic
Next Cenezoic
Then like as we know it
(Chorus)
It's a long line leading to man
Where are they now?
It's a long line leading to man
How do you think it feels to be extinct?
Algae and amoebas
Spiny little fishes
Dinosaurs and reptiles
Probably delicious
(Chorus)
Swimming Diplodocus
Silly Brontosaurus
Its head's big as houses
Rule the Ambicorus*
Giant wooly mammoths
Age of Diplodocus
Big berry round as*
Rample--amplificus*
(Chorus)
* = paraphrased
@@anamaniac1968 So much thanks!
Great song, Cynthia, but the dinosaurs were hunted to extinction by man.
