Yes!! The doctors tried to push me to do an induction with my 1st. I prayed about it. It didn't feel right to me. I had a strong sense not to do it, so I didn't. My baby boy was born late, and health. God knew when he should be born. I trusted him before anyone else.
Doctors want to do inductions for one reason and it’s usually nothing to with the mother. It’s convenience, for the doctor & the hospital. Staffing ratios also come into it.
Doctors push induction frequently for convenience. Inducing because you’re a smaller person will not necessarily make the labor easier. In fact, pitocin frequently causes heart rates to drop. Baby will come when it’s ready, there’s no reason to induce just because you’re small. And first time moms frequently go to 41 ish weeks so don’t be discouraged that you’re only 1 cm

I had a friend that was and OBGYN nurse for over 30 years and she said about 80 percent of the inductions are not necessary for medical reasons. Sadly they do it for doctors convience AND because they get more $$ for inducing. At the end of the year they actually get bonus for having patients induced and for c-sections. Obviously you have to do what’s best for you but something to consider. Good luck!

That's Especially True in the United States ... Also ,Especially Texas. I didn't want that though for my sons!! And 3 out of my 4 male Cousins weren't named after their dad's and I only had Sisters and 5 girl cousins on my moms side and also 5 Girl Cousins on my dad's side so,,, I wasn't raised around a bunch of Juniors !! Lol.... I wanted my sons to have their own Special Name . I saw how the 1st born son gets most of the Love and Attention from. Both Parents usually when this happens. The younger son is left out or ignored. I didn't want that my kids. My husband is not a junior but his older brother is.And my Bro. In law named his oldest son after him also. So their is 3 named the same name.
Don’t fret doctors always estimate size wrong / ultrasounds two week off either direction. I’m 5’3 was 100 pounds when got pregnant first baby was 8 pounds 7 oz. 2nd baby 8pounds 13 oz 21 inches. 3rd baby 8pounds 15oz 22 inches. Also dilation doesn’t mean anything so don’t worry :)
I think it's great you're carrying on the family name! He will be one blessed baby to have you for parents. I'm very short and petite. My dr wanted to induce me, but I declined. I had an 8lb 3oz baby boy, born on his due date, with no intervention and no issues at all. Every woman is different, though. Do what you feel is right. Looking forward to that big birthday!💙
I'm with Tiffany on that I don't understand why everybody is getting induced for labor these days. Especially when babies just come naturally when they're ready. The only time I think that you should induce is if the expected date goes a little longer than normal like two or three weeks later that is really late. However, I'm not a doctor but I was thinking the same thing as her.
Make sure you take your bags the day of Tiffs appt. The Dr. may just send her to the hospital tight then and there. I had my 3rd induced. You got this Tiff! Love the names!❤

Don't get induced unless you or baby are at risk of anything. I find they just want everyone to get induced nowadays, it's crazy! Baby will come when ready and will be healthier because of it. Don't let them convince you otherwise. All 4 of my babies came when they were ready...3 of them 6 days after due date and last one on the exact due date. Hang in there Tiffany and stand your ground! She calls her little one Willy. I really think people are making it a much bigger deal than it is or should be in my opinion. This family is a very loving family.

Don’t let a doctor induce you when you don’t want to and for no medical reason. It’s ok to say no. Ultrasounds can be up to a couple pounds off in later pregnancy. Inductions lead to more interventions and more risk. It’s different for everyone, but for me induction was a million times more painful than natural labor. No matter what way you go with, stay off your back. Being on your back makes your pelvis about 10% smaller. Baby will have more room to come out if you push in other positions. Love the name. I’ll be praying for y’all!
I wish more knew this and/or more Dr's allowed or had you labor in various positions than laying on your back! Knowledge is power and great thing to use!

You guys are great!!! I know you would like not to be induced, but just remember, you want what is healthy for little man and mama!!! Vlogs are so fun!!! I'm not the grandma to this baby, but for some reason I find myself daily checking to see if this precious little soul has arrived yet!!!! Don’t let a doctor induce you when you don’t want to and for no medical reason. It’s ok to say no. Ultrasounds can be up to a couple pounds off in later pregnancy. Inductions lead to more interventions and more risk. It’s different for everyone, but for me induction was a million times more painful than natural labor. No matter what way you go with, stay off your back. Being on your back makes your pelvis about 10% smaller. Baby will have more room to come out if you push in other positions. Love the name. I’ll be praying for y’all!
I wish more knew this and/or more Dr's allowed or had you labor in various positions than laying on your back! Knowledge is power and great thing to use!
