I don't know about the origin of the name Prism but knowing Alex there is some sort of reference to Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon in there as well. ruclips.net/video/k9ynZnEBtvw/видео.html
Oh man, I just discovered you today. This is right up my alley in every sense. Damn you guys have some mad control over your frequencies. Great colors in this track. Lots of yellows, deep orange/browns, white, purples.. Beautiful track in every sense :)
Definitely Alien come Bladerunner. With a sublime mixture of mushrooms and beautiful soudscapes that penetate the mind. Been there with the Orb since the 90's. Back to their essence I feel. YES!
fascinating! this could be the album’s introduction or a mid length segue transition, but they’ve already dipped their toes into (global) commentary with their their song “Ununited States” 2 albums ago, though there is an obvious idea that they’ve pushed such ideological boundaries in everything from their incredible beginnings.. censorship context: unexpected at first, i’m sure - cough, little fluffy clouds, cough - to key issues of each decade they’ve recorded within.. there is a maturity that i most appreciate as a fan since their late 80s debut in real time.. hell, the intro dialogue sample of Orblivion’s 1st song, etc etc etc.. i’m very much looking forward to my preordered CD to arrive next month! every successful masterpiece requires contemplation & advancement - something they’ve carried through both centuries rather successfully!
There are certain instruments used on this album that I haven't heard since Adventures Beyond Ultraworld which probably subconsciously take you back to the good old days. For me the whole album is wonderful, fun, funky, awesome beats and this track just so gorgeously powerful, deep and expansive it gives me goosebumps. Plus a cover to remind us of Pink Floyds Dark Side of the Moon, and of course the Orb have done some music with Dave Gilmour.
A Beautiful, Possible End to the Orb? Alex sd this wld be their/His last..(Chocolate Hillls, OSS, Sedibus live on tho) That synth n trumpet Peak @ 4:56 tho!❤ 🌎 🎉
My favourite part of this track is the ridiculous trumpet which is slightly out of tune. It's so funny and deliciously Orbish sense of humour. It's like, "we've created this amazingly wide deep submersive sound, but we're not going to take ourselves too seriously and put this crazy little trumpet in for fun". Just delightful!

@@RaveyDavey Yes, NSAOOB brought me back to Orby after a break of a few years, first time listen in 2023 even though it came out in 2018. Prism however beats NSAOOB hands down. And over the last few weeks I've listened to a stack of in-between Orb albums, EPs etc and thinking OMG! What have I been missing? Gems like the Cow Remixes, Moonbuilding, Lee Scratch Perry, etc. I've yet to listen to Abolition of Royal Familia.
This is so beautiful. I've been in despair with my health this week but this piece has lifted my spirits hugely. Thank you. Bliss 🙏🕉
Blessings to you!

Ive become quite familiar with the feeling of despair in the last 5 yrs or so. I feel for you and know what you are going through

MASTERPIECE!!! 😎
It's got a cool Blade Runner type feel. The Orb is not just for X-Mas.
I thought the same thing! Floating through a dystopian LA in a spinner.
Vangelis-esq.
This is the Orb at what they do best! More of this!

@@johnwasinger6562 A homage to Vangelis perhaps? - who recently passed away
This has to be their best song ever

Douchiest comment i've read in a while. Homosapien.
With good lsd back in the early 90's.. I can feel it. Thank you ❤
Was expecting Dave Gilmour to fire up the intro to Shine On you Crazy Diamond for a while there
Superb. Little hints of Daze in there too, like a misty flashback.
あぁ~~~~、エクスタシィ~~~~😍

@@jimprior180762 that's the first thing I thought. But the rest of the album is ok with ups and downs.

night time drive music
Play loud in with fidelity
Is there some sort of news commentary at the start, or am I experiencing some sort of aberration?
💘💘❤❤💖💖
I just want to watch blade runner now for some reason.
Chocolate Hills vs The Orb ✌️👏
🤠💜
hoping there will be instrumental version of this gem
It already is ? lol. :)

Pink Floyd but not quite.
Orb Flight and spot on
Bobby Fischer - The greatest anti semite that's ever lived (since Hitler). Guy knew chess a bit too.
im curious about this one, last 2 albums were average at best
Abolition of the Royal familiar is right up there ✌️
indeed, even that last dnb-lite single was...phoned in from an iPad
Yeah but, how much acid have you taken the past two albums compared to the first 20? Gotta have equal comparisons or it’s invalid.
last 2? for me i haven’t liked anything after like 93 live 😂

Naaa ! ☹️
The Orb is one of my favorite bands, but this sucks. A drone. Big deal.
Close to a Vangelis Blade runner droppping into a soggy soundscape elevated and loved by psychonauts trawling the metaherz
