I live in DeRidder and me and my granddaughter have seen it 3 times. The best and first time was when she was about 6 years old. We all love it here in DeRidder. Long lines but so worth it!

Kinda sucks that the Holiday Express couldn't come up to the KCS home city. While it was nice to see the Holiday Train come here, it isn't the same without Rudy and F units.
I got to see the Holiday Express in Pittsburg Tx and Wylie Tx it was awesome to see I'm thinking of volunteering for it next year. I also got to see the Holiday Train in Shreveport they put on a really nice performance for us!
i miss this train. had i known that it'd not venture back up to KC id of made time to see it last year. Hope some day they bring it back to KC for at least a night or two in the coming year(s)
This train passed right by my house, but I was at work. Hope to see it in person someday.
Thanks for posting this. We are in B.C., Canada and took our daughter and granddaughters to the CPKC Holiday Train in the small town of Agassiz last Sunday. There were more than 1,500 people on hand. It is very interesting to see the KCS Holiday Express and how it is set up. It is good that the newly-merged railroad is keeping both Christmas traditions intact. I hope to get the chance to see the Holiday Express one day - I learned a lot about it from the video. Love those Southern Belle F-units. I also enjoyed seeing the train on the bridge into Vicksburg. We were there in January in what I hope will be the first of many visits to the U.S. South.

I was able to see this Train in Meridian, very glad the F-Units were on it and they were still lettered for KCS

i got to see the train in jefferson texas this year i did not get in the train but i did get to see kcs f units i got good pictures of the train

KCS partnered with the Salvation Army over the years, and I wanna say this year CPKC donated a check to each section. To be honest, I don’t know the exact details of how all that worked this year.

Thank you so much for covering the Holiday Train. Strangely, up here in Canada, we've become anti-Christmas, and anti-fun, and folks aren't allowed 'anywhere' near the train, but just applaude from a distance. You guys do it right.

Hey - can you ask the. To pork the business train better next year in Jackson so I can get it fully photographed? That was my only disappointment with its most southern visit.
I was in Coushatta with my family and I saw a dude with a CPKC hat and tripod... I had a sneaking suspicion that was probably you!!

The 2caboosrs are of former ICG an the baggage car the Heavener is the only car that was actual Southern Belle
The Arthur E. Stillwell car is the former Midsouth Rail business car "The Prospector."
Is the Canadian pacific train coming to Louisiana?
It came to Shreveport, then went back north.
Im sorry but thos burgundy colored cars are ugly and boring. The original paint sceme is so much better
