Sanctuary of the Virgin of the Remedies of Cholula Puebla in 4K

The Sanctuary of Nuestra Señora de los Remedios is a Catholic temple located at the top of the Great Pyramid of Cholula, in San Andrés Cholula, Puebla. Its construction began in 1594, although the temple of that time was partially destroyed by an earthquake in 1864, the year in which it was rebuilt.
The spiritual imposition during the conquest is an important chapter in the history of Cholula. The history of the church began in 1594, when the Franciscan order built a simple hermitage on the top of Tlachihualtepetl. The Franciscans were in charge of building churches and convents on the old pre-Hispanic temples, an action that was carried out, fundamentally, as a measure of evangelization to the indigenous people.
The front part of the Sanctuary has a façade composed of two richly decorated bodies, the first with a "vault with a semicircular arch and decorations in high relief"; The access is flanked by free-standing columns with a base, fluted shaft and Corinthian capital, in turn there are pilasters with similar characteristics; both support an entablature with architrave, frieze decorated with floral motifs and cornice with ovos, arrows and denticles. Inside the main altar is the image of the Virgen de los Remedios.

El Santuario de Nuestra Señora de los Remedios es una parroquia católica que se eleva sobre la ciudad de Cholula desde la cima de la Gran Pirámide de Cholula, también conocida como Tlachihualtépetl. Las dos cúpulas bellamente decoradas de la iglesia y su construcción patrimonial de piedra la convierten en uno de los lugares de interés más importantes de Cholula. Contempla la nave central elegante y el altar neoclásico mientras paseas por el interior de la iglesia. En el exterior, toma fotos de la construcción con las impresionantes montañas volcánicas al fondo.
