Me: Ma'am to this question there arises two cases, If there is already NPA then there is a certain rules and regulations by the Govt to recover it like SARFESI ACT and all... and if we are to prevent it from happening before giving a loan then we can take certain measures like doing KYC properly, We should verify their income, should visit there home and work places, Should study their Income tax returns M3: But don't you think doing KYC and all, Everyone do it before giving a loan but why there is still a NPA? Me: Yes ma'am that is because some banks they give loans to some big industrialists at a minimum rate of interest so that they can earn more profit for their organisation but some unfortunate happens and they left with the NPA but it doesn't meant that every NPA is by Willful defaulters, There is a non-willful defaulters too... Like if we give loans to farmers they take it but if unfortunate happens with them like if they couldn't cultivaed enough crop dues to bad weather or bad seasons then they too cannot pay back their loan... so they comes under non-willful defaulters...
