You could create a mount for a dial indicator and print a round nut to screw onto the lead screw and use that to help adjust the mounts. Probably not necessary but would save some time and get a good bit closer to ideal than by our eyes alone.

I used to work for a German company bending sheet metal for rack mount server chassis, we only ever got a square to check angles and Tolerance was +-4°, I can't imagine creality investing any more running their brake press. It's been noted before that the brackets are often out of square, plus tolerances of holes, bolts and wheels all play a part.

Love the Teflon leads crews have you got a link please

Short of just getting a part that is perfectly perpendicular to the Z axis, you could also shim the upper M5/M6 (can't remember which it is) bolt at the metal spacer to ensure a slightly better fit. I agree that its another bandaid, but what can you do given a $200 mass manufactured printer.
One of the easiest options is to just run with a belted Z axis - "easiest" in that you don't need to worry about perfectly machines parts, perfectly aligned this, that, etc - at least to a much greater extent than a rigidly-fixed leadscrew based option. Something like the CoreXZ kinematics of the Switchwire comes to mind, or easier yet, something like the thing on Thingiverse with the Z motor on the top with a 80T gear / linear rod coupling to both extrusions. Not the prettiest but it werks. That way you only have to worry about the alignment of your rails, which is way easier to adjust than this.

An off-topic question for you, Andrew. Is it just me, or did Triangle Labs shut down? Their store on AlEx is still there, but I can't see any products, whether I'm logged in or not. I noticed this first on Friday, and thought it might be a temporary issue, but nope, still the same on Monday. I hope they're not gone for good.

Wow. Just checked. I can find some of their products, but not their official store. That's very odd.

I heard they were just swapping warehouses

@@Steel_shooter That should not require the closing of their store on Ali express and would be the totaly wrong time to do this when they were making changes to their own website store

Isnt there a synchronised dual leadscrew kit for the Ender 3?
