In this episode we visit the Donegal Studio of Irish writer Michael Harding. Michael has written three novels, six books of memoirs and several plays including five for the Abbey Theatre. He has a column in The Irish Times which he calls “a creative column of ordinary life.” He’s a member of Aosdána for his contribution to Irish Culture. Before lockdown, he toured multiple venues throughout the country with “An evening with Michael Harding” but replaced this with a weekly podcast - see link below. He’ll also be known to viewers of The Artist’s Well as the husband of sculptor Cathy Carmen whom we featured in Series 1, Episode 48.

I absolutely love Michael Harding. I just have to hear his name and I'm tuned in. His mind, humour and food for thought, is so engaging and inspiring. I saw him live in Letterkenny in An Grinan theatre,(we were the enthralled 4 women front right, lol) and he had a packed house, he was brilliant, in his down-to-earth way. I got 2 books and had him sign fo me. 💖
