I bought the Donner DEP-20 for my little sister and I am shocked how good it is for the price I paid. I can't fault the quality and I enjoyed playing with it more than my Clavinova 600 series. It also has more features than my Clavinova. I would definitely recommend the Donner here.

  • @Zoco101
    @Zoco101 3 года назад +72

The NPK-10 seems to be just under 300 US dollars. That's excellent value IMO. Actually, it would be very helpful if the prices of the pianos were shown more explicitly in these videos. I kept checking all over this video to see if Jeremy said anything. A prices and pros/cons summary at the end of the video would be fantastic.

I kind of wanted to hear you play the same song on all of them so it’ll be easier to compare the sound quality across all the pianos. Also, some keyboards are barely audible in the upper octaves. I want to hear a song that utilizes a wide range of keys on the keyboard.

  • @danieldougan269

Don't forget about the fun factor that will keep you or your kids engaged. That's why I chose the Yamaha Portable Grand DGX-650 instead. (That model has since been replaced by the 660 and now the 670.) Yes, it's a little more money, but it has hundreds of voices to experiment with, from pianos to guitars to synths and even a drum kit. When I went to the music store and looked at keyboards like these for my first hammer-action keyboard, I was disappointed that they were not as versatile as my cheap 61-key Casio entry-level keyboard in terms of voices.
Now, given the choice between a non-weighted keyboard with lots of voices and a weighted keyboard with just a few, I would still take the weighted keyboard. I learned on a real piano, and I always felt I was sacrificing something with a non-weighted keyboard. But, if you're willing to spend just a little more money or look for used models, I strongly recommend getting something more versatile that is the best of both worlds.

I stumbled upon a small music store online earlier today that supposedly had just one Roland FP10 in stock for $500, I immediately ordered it and snatched it up! I'm not going to get excited or believe it until I get an email saying it's shipped and the piano gets delivered to me and is in my possession, but i'm pretty stoked! Jeremy: This is another great review. Beginners buying their first instrument on a budget really need this information.
And it is helpul when you mention an onboard recording facility. Some users won't want to connect to an app every time they need to test an idea or make a simple backing. And that some of the more budget oriented brands manage to include a screen at these prices and poweful speakers, is impressive.
In general, I think it's fair to say that a sub 500 dollar piano will probably only satisfy for about 3 years, for one reason or another. It might not last much longer either (depends on the brand) but so long as it does its job for about three years, that's enough IMO.
In Europe we have the big German mail order company called Thomann. It offers most brands, plus some cheap digital pianos with its own badge. I think they would last the necessary three years, and then some. They get good user revews.

From listening to all the RUclips videos, I initially liked the Roland 10, but because it's always out of stock, I started looking at Roland 30x which seems over my budget. Then I found kawai es110, I think it sounds more delicate than Roland 10. Today I finally went to try all of them, Roland 30, I didn't like the keys as they were coming up, they were a bit slow. Nux 10 surprised me, it is very easy to play with the most updated features for only $440 and kawai es110 now is just $490 after discount! Should I go for the latest NUK10 or kawai es110? Kawai is an older version with no USB etc.. But its original price is a bit higher, so is it worth getting it? Would you consider that's a good bargain? Or not really?? I'm a completely new beginner. Appreciate if someone would make a suggestion?

Frankly, as a 10 year old guitar player, I liked the key action more on the Korg and the Kawai for some reason. The keys on the FP10 were wayyyy too hard to press. Either it's my novitiate or maybe that demo piece was messed up.

Please make a video on the best digital keyboards for intermediate players who are looking to buy their second keyboard.
My first one was the yamaha psr e243 and I'm now looking to get a better keyboard with touch response and the ability to connect to fl studio (a built-in mic would be a great addition if possible). I've watched many of your videos but am still confused as to which one would best suit my needs. Looking forward to this video!

Hi Ma'am/Sir, my one black key (G#) in my keyboard is not working, I mean it's working when I played it once but when I played it twice or thrice its not working. I don't if it's delayed is anything. What should I do if my keyboard is like that? Answering my question will be well appreciated. Thank You

    Hi Jeremy,
In My Country I am Getting the DGX 670 for around 1200 USD (After Conversion) that is WAY more than the Launch Price
Do You Suggest I still get it?
I use 90% Piano in it and I am getting an Arius YDP 144 for the Same Price
Which do you think is more value for money?

Fantastic review Jeremy as usual👏👏🤘 I am very much inclined towards the FP10, but heard there might be some “clicking” issues with it. Kindly do advise, is it a deal breaker?

At the very beginning, it was Gymnopedie #1 by Erik Satie (1866-1925), and during the actual demo of the Yamaha, it was The River Flows in You, by Yiruma (this instrumental is associated with the Twilight movie series)

In the video you talk about the Roland FP10
But your links are for the Roland FP 30X, is it because the FP10 is sold out? And is there a difference between the FP10 and the FP30X?

Thanks for another great review. Can you please review the Inovus i88? I have narrowed it down between the Donner dep 20, Alesis recital pro and the Inovus i88. I would love your insight on this piano. Thank you.
