*THIS CHANNEL IS FAMILY FRIENDLY BUT NOT MADE FOR KIDS*
It just struck me how drastically different things were for my generation (I was a kid in the 70's, 80's and early 90's). My mom never EVER supervised my brother and I at a park. We played outside in our neighborhood all day. Rode our bikes to school and when we came home, mom was still at work. I was responsible from a very young age to look after my younger brother. It was such a different time! Like you, I NEVER left my kids unsupervised at a park. My kids didn't ever ride their bikes to school. Makes me sad a bit, makes me think a lot, but that is how it is now.
I was the same way. One day I was playing with my friend by the railway. We were there alone. We were 10-11 years old. A guy came out from the woods and started to chase us. We ran like crazy. Luckily we were safe then.
Hi Mel, you've been on my mind lately and I hope you're doing well. How is your leg healing? Praying things are looking up for you. Much love and big hugs xxx
Hi Mel ❤
Hang in there beautiful lady.
I’m having risky heart surgery on Tuesday and seeing you watch that sunrise made me realise how lucky we are to live in this beautiful slice of the world 🥰
Take care lovely x
Good luck for your surgery!
Thinking of you Katie! X
Hope your feeling better ,I am trying not to be sucked into a void at present as my dad passed away the 26th , Got to keep going one day at a time . By the way taking kids to the park is boring ,lol x
Oh much love and condolences. Feel your grief in his honour. In my experience the more I try to avoid a hard emotion the bigger it gets. Take care of yourself. See him in the sunrise and the sunset.
Sorry for your loss, sending hugs ❤
Hi Mel, lovely to see you again, post moving is really hard, all the things that need doing and work, plus the uni stuff. I'm not really surprised that you are down. Just remember you are loved and it will get better. ❤️
I regards to you taking kids to the park....I hear you! I've been doing all our families cooking for over 20 years now. Our boys are 23 this year and our daughter 17. This year I voiced to my husband IM DONE DOING ALL THE COOKING. All the breakfasts, all the packed lunches, all the dinners, snacks, school baking and birthdays etc. I'm done! It's very liberating ❤
Oh how I wish you could be in spring too. It lifts my spirits these longer days.
I heard something a couple days ago which is supposed to increased happiness (I know from experience that depression can’t be cured just like that but it has helped me enjoy life a bit more already), it is to say to yourself as often as possible “these are the good days”
That’s a good tip. Thanks so much for sharing! ❤️ 🇦🇺🦘🐨
Mel I must say even though your feeling down you are hysterical!….. the part about your husband and the neighbors was so funny. Hope your feeling better. If you are not I am sending you hugs and well wishes. ❤
Just watched and its horrible feeling yukky ..hoping your better Mel ..watching from Great Britain 🇬🇧 👍
Thanks so much for taking the time to watch and comment. It is horrid. But everything gets better. X❤️ Mel
❤ take each day as it comes, try to get enough rest and time for yourself. Thanks for sharing enjoy your day 😊
Label your laundry bin.
Dirty.
Make a point to immediately put away the cleaned laundry.
Sort out laundry.
Let each child have a laundry bin.
Put washing machine to monthly wash.
Hope you are getting better.
I just got out of a several month slump. I have been getting up at 5am. Monday, Wednesday & Friday do a full body workout. Tuesday & Thursday is yoga. After I watch the sun rise & make a cuppa before I sort the kids out. Hope you feel better ❤ ❤❤
Mel the background music is amaaaaazing ❤❤❤ 😩 I love it ! Thank you !
Thanks for sharing your honest journey with depression. Sometimes we have the motivation to do better, but circumstances says otherwise. This video helps me to validate my own struggles with depression. Keep making content Mel, it helps me alot.
I hope you are feeling better Mel.
You got this
Thank you. Slow and steady
Hi Mel...always so good to see you! I hope things have begun to improve for you. I like your new couch/sofa and rug!
Bluey chalk! Cute! That's a good idea to get sunshine first thing in the morning. Im going to Chicago tomorrow for SIX days.
Aww.. feel better soon, Miss Mel!
Take each day as it comes.
One step at a time
Hi Mel, so good to see you. I was wondering what you think of your new house, does all your furniture fit in ok?, have you missed anything you have decluttered? Is there anything you miss about your old house, and what's better in this one??? Have you met the neighbours yet?? Is it closer to work and school??? Do the children like living there??? Soo glad you are doing things to take care of your mental health, Love what you did with your mirror in your office, good idea!!😘 I hope we don't have to wait toooo long to see you again. ........😁 You're not the only one who hates going to the park, I used to hate it too!!!😂
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for always being here for me. X
Its an exhausting mental battle
Keep going ❤
I love yr misic choice.❤I struggle with depression too
Big hugs😅
❤❤
Good morning!
Too funny when you said your husband and your neighbors are cheering for the opposite team. That made me laugh out loud. Depression is dreadful. I truly hope you are feeling better. Take care.
Welcome back x
Thanks!
Well done, you ❤
Hahaha we all hate taking kids to the park😂😂😂😂
I hated going to the park! 😊 I have one child, so I had to go for significally less then 16 years- very impressed you did it for this long!
I don't know why I didn't like it, I think I just found it to be booooring. Felt like such a bad human, then I realised soo many parent loath going to the park/playground. 😊
Washing machines need to be cleaned at 90°c ideally with a bleach solution every month. Are you also cleaning out your filters and leaving the door ajar when not in use? Should also wipe out the seals at the same time 😊
Also great to see you out with the sunrise. UVA rays are the best for proper hormone production ❤
My business team wants to do lots of fun things in Chicago, but i just want to rest.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
You're husband and neighbors rooting for different teams 😁😂🤣
soda crystals are the cheapest way to ckean your washing machine, put in with a towel wash, whites wash. you are an amazing woman wife and mum.
You left us on a cliffhanger! Did it work?
The hot water system? Haha. Yes it did. Phew! 😂 (and yes it was Jonah)
@@MySemiSortedLife rofl, I am really curious about your hot water systems now. And I would have to ask if he wanted cold showers!
P.s. the park is the worst.
Right??!
Is been pass from generation to generation
That's hilarious. Jon doesn’t follow sports. His dad dies now, though
Hello, my dearest! You look lovely. Let's get perky.
That golden dog knows you needed comfort as you were watching the sunrise, did you notice that? 🥰🫶🏼
Also I was a mum that absolutely hated taking the kids to the park, lol, I feel like this was before I had an iPhone so I had to actually sit and watch them do their ‘tricks’ which in all honesty weren’t that impressive. You are doing great Mel, give yourself some grace. We were still unpacking boxes 6 months after we moved in as it was just so overwhelming.
