Hi Lilly would love a tutorial on sewing the project bags i followed your tutorial on the box bag and im so thrilled with it. Lovely watching you today take care 😊❤
Ah I’m so pleased you found the box bag tutorial helpful and made one 🥰 Yes I will definitely do the tutorial, I’ve written it down so I won’t forget 😅 xx
Lovely to join you Lilly. I don't mind your waffle and I lovely all your crafts. You certainly have your mojo back. I expect Southwold was so much quieter than it would be in summer. Thank you for taking us to the seaside. xx
I think these waves of crafting enthusiasm or lack of it must just be a way that our brain regulates us - I think your approach is just right! And it’s definitely not worth pursuing a craft that we find we don’t enjoy - there are always going to be other creative projects waiting in the wings! Thoroughly enjoyed this latest chat and visits to the seaside - thank you! ❤
Hi Helen, I must not buy any more cute cross stitch kits 😁 I enjoyed watching you this morning ( that sounds weird) 😂 before work and really enjoyed seeing all the little dolls house accessories. I love the furry Paula bag too . I ran out of time to comment sorry I do normally like to 🌸 Take care xx
Hi Lily. Enjoyed spending Sunday evening with you. Crafting overwhelm is real. I also prefer embroidery to cross stitch. I just finished a simple bird and floral embroidery. Went freestyle adding beads, sequins, and fabric. Enjoyment and creativity go hand in hand. Have a lovely week. Take care. Xx
Enjoyed this so! I get crafting blocks at times then I will craft a lot! I am trying to get Christmas gifts done for my grandchildren. They love pillowcases in their favorite characters so making them. They are quick & easy. Just made my 3 daughters and I each a sewn scarecrow for fall in last month. I have so much I want to do. My health makes it hard sometimes. I love going to thrift stores & finding things I can repurpose & use. I just love your projects!!!❤❤😊
Hi Pamela, I bet your grandchildren love their pillowcases. I really like the idea of making a sewn scarecrow, I had a knitted one my mum made me when I was little 😊 thanks for watching, take care 🩷 xx
Another really lovely podcast thank you. Well done you for returning to Southwold after your incident, very frightening, especially when you’re on your own. Your project bags look beautiful - my lovely Don is now home to a new jumper project! If you’d like me to finish your cross stitch, Lily I’m more than happy to. Love cross stitch, although it wouldn’t be done for this Christmas you’d have it for next year, such a beautiful little deer. Enjoy all your lovely projects - your quilt is heavenly ❤
Hi Carol, I’m so happy Don has a lovely new project inside ❤️ Thank you for offering to finish my cross stitch that’s really thoughtful of you. Lindsey from Sew Sweet Samuel has offered to finish it so it’s on its way to her. ( if she hadn’t I would have said yes to you) ☺️ Have a lovely week xx
Hi Lilly! I finally got to watch this blog, i have been out of town for Thanksgiving. So nice to go away but always nice to come home too! 😂 I totally agree with you about if a craft isn't fun or making you happy then don't do it. My crafts are my relaxing and get lost in the fun but if it becomes frustrating then it goes in time out!😂 I finally got back to where I was on the shawl that we are both making and so far no mistakes this time. WHEW! I hope to get back to it soon, yours looks really good. I'm trying to get decorations up for Christmas now. I did cut out my papers for the English paper pieced bag that you showed us how to make. Yay!! Hopefully i will get it made soon. Mia says ruff ruff to Holly!😂 Take care!
I’m glad you enjoyed your time away. Yay on the shawl making. 💜 I’m on to the next colour so quite exciting 🧶 Holly loves that she has a fan! 🐈⬛ Have a lovely day 😊 xx
This is me, I have too many hobbies, knitting, Crochet, Dressmaking, Patchwork & Quilting and Cardmaking. Oh, and I have an embroidery machine. My head is full of things I want to make and I end up doing nothing because I'm in a complete muddle.
It’s so hard hard isn’t, all those lovely things we could be making and we just end up thinking about them all. We have to be kind to ourselves and do what we can even if it’s just a little, or nothing it’s ok 🥰 xx
Hi Lilly great video as always so glad you didn't like cross stitch ive admired them and thought I would love to do one but like you it wasn't for me guess we cant do or love every craft😊
Oh Lily, I know exactly what you mean about the boots getting hooked together by the laces. I had the same happen to me coming down the stairs. It was pretty frightening because I couldn’t do anything with my feet to help myself. Luckily we’re both okay to tell the tale. Glad you went back to the scene of the crime because it looks too lovely a place to avoid. I love your bunny. Karen x
I’m sorry it happened to you too, I felt so silly afterwards it’s so scary falling with feet tied together isn’t it. I can’t imagine going down the stairs like it 😬 You’ve reminded me I hadn’t watched the end of your video so I’ve just gone back to finish it 😀 Have a lovely week! ❤️ xx
You could use the skinny white yarn to make crocheted snowflakes to applique onto your bunniy's fairy wings. you could also use that pretty tapestry thread to make lazy daisies on the wings. There are so many ideas, aren't there. The possibilities are endless and it can be overwhelming. I totally understand the craft paralysis. Sometimes I get brilliant idea, plan out a pattern, and oh it will be fantastic. But the thought of doing it was yuck. So I dont do anything. To get past it, I just revert to a tried and true, simple project and the crafty mojo comes back. .And I agree, if you are not enjoying it, just don't do it. I love projects where you don't have to measure, just making it to fit what you got on hand.
I'm just the same, sometimes the ideas forming and planning are the best bits aren't they. Snowflakes on the bunnies fairy wings is such a lovely idea 🥰 thank you for watching! Take care xx
I know just what you meant about having to step away refresh and go back to crafting, I have to be in the mood, the worst thing is when I get asked to make things for people that I don’t want to.I have decided to now say no.xxxx🐝🐝🐝
I love your tapestries, and can see how much you enjoy them 🐁 if I find any that I like in a charity shop I will buy one and have a go. ( none from the very expensive charity shop in Southwold) 😂 thanks for watching ☺️ xx
Hello Lily..love your new rabbit..think Christabel would suit her ...the new bags are gorgeous..so pretty....any shade of green or blue would go nice on the lilac cushion..pouring rain today..glad I went walking early..now I can do a bit of crafting..☘️❤️
I haven’t done any crafting for a couple of weeks since I finished a few Christmas gifts. I’ve tried getting out some WIPs but unable to drum up any enthusiasm, I think in the back of my mind I am waiting for the cool crafting Christmas surprise. The problem is I feel a if I am missing something when watching tv I seem to enjoy if more if I am crafting. Hopefully we will all soon be back to all the crafty goodness. 🧶🧵🪡

Hello! I so enjoyed spending time with you this morning! I have thought of picking back up cross-stitching, but right now, it is just a thought.🥰
Hi! It’s worth having a go again as there are so many lovely ones. Have a great week ☺️ xx

It’s hard saying no, but it’s best sometimes isn’t it, so you don’t take too much on and it becomes a chore xx
I find cross stitch a bit much, but I love tapestry, I love the ones with the design on the canvas like the dormouse one I did.xx🐝🐝
