This process is a huge pain in the ass given that the screws tucked behind the bars can't be reached by power tools. If you have a decent amount of money and you're planning to have more than one child, I'd highly recommend just buying separate crib and toddler beds.

There was extra pieces? 😬 This video doesn’t show what to do with the 2 extra boards that come in the box
I was confused at first as well, but those are for the toddler bed. Remove the side panels and replace them with those two boards.
