Yeah that part is pretty high. Might of been trying to save his voice. As high as he sings and screams, it takes a toll night after night. Still sounded great though. Michael is a beast!
@nboeyink34 Dude, that is no easy note to hit, especially during a full set of powerful vocals, which Mike usually delivers. More RED fans would prefer to hear this version of Pieces than none at all. They don't play it often, but one of the best things about seeing a live show is hearing variations of the original. If you want to just hear an original studio track, maybe you should just stay home....no?
Love this song but if u can't sing it live, then don't put it on ur album especially vocals cause that's the thing most people listen to when they hear a song... . unless u play instruments yourself and u can block out the vocals. that's what I do when I learn a new song
@nboeyink34 I have been to one of their live concerts in NZ and the song didn't sound like that he sung that bit properly. Dunno maybe he was having a bad singing day lol.

Why i get lame IN EVERY TIME THEY SAY CHRISTIAN THAT CHRISTIAN THIS !!! GET over it ... not all things meant to be related with faith . im repsectful to christianity but please stop brain washing people who dont accept Religion either because they are blind or they just want to see things they way they want !!!
He never sings the part "i tried so hard" in a manner that was sung in the song. These are the things that keep them from getting mainstream. They cant perform when it matters. Saw 10+ pieces concerts but couldnt find any that had i tried so hard part. He may use computers and stuff in the actual songs to reach that high note. Utterly Disappointed
He may not, though. That 'high' note is a Bb. And I heard some concerts where he goes for the previous A note. But Bb is a ridiculously high note and given their repertoire, reaching it in a concert might mean not being able to perform at all afterwards - or even worse, in the follow up concerts (given a tour). So it may not be as much as he 'can't' but that he is safely not wanting to.
