The Targaryens were not the smallest house. They weren't the most powerful of the 40 Dragon Lord families, but they were still among the rulers of Valyria.
but at their peak house targaryen had over 10 dragons and many eggs. so with their reign over westeros they probably were close to the stronger or even strongest valyrian houses at their peak
I miss Milly as young Rhaenyra. I am not against Emma but Milly really had that "Targaryen vibe", and you just understand how this dynasty could rule for 300 year.
Bookwise definitely not, showwise neither. She barely can control her own council which is mostly consisted of smaller nobles, when she was young she ditched her most powerful suitors who could have been her allies in the dance, also she was just a cup-bearer for Viserys. She cant control her urges, if she didnt have a lover then Aegon probably doesnt have enough claim for civil war. During the dance she barely do anything relevant SPOILER: until she die after ruling for 6 months. SPOILER ENDS Some might argue that even Aegon II is a better ruler.Jace is a different story, I think he could have been the next Jaeherys. Dany at least inspired a lot of people, and she cared for the oppressed. She tries to make a good council and listen to them, like making Barristan Selmy the Queen's Hand. Also she was competent enough to survive with the Dothraki, which I think show political savvy.
Daenerys was far better a politician than Rhaenrya , Rhaenrya ruled because she was the King's daughter. While Daenerys was also the same , she didn't won over meerana nd and also because she was the daughter of a king they never knew . She became the queen because she was Daenerys, Khaleesi and mother of dragons
Lol it shows how dumb the targaryens once valyria was destroyed they didn't even know how to maintain dragons .... the dragons size were due to blood magic ....balerion was probably the last dragon raised that way....... Danaerys is the only one worthy in that family
Umm no danys dragons were out in the wild. They lived and ate as they liked. Unlike hotd dragons who like traditional valyrian dragons were domesticated and didn't fly often as it wasn't needed. They were smaller due to living in westeros
@@gavinperry8433 dragons are already bound to the targaryens BY blood magic. Also bc of the red comet thing they became even more bonded with her. All she did was know valyrian. They would've obeyed her anyways like rhaenyra and vermithor
