A very good friend in college had a One, 50-years ago, in pristine condition, with all the German military acceptance marks. He still had it when he recently passed away and when l asked his daughters what happened to it??.. They said they had no idea..😢😢
i have one with a german waffenamt. it is a little rough and the grips aren't original as they burned when the nazi pilot it belonged to was shot down. i had a 600 that i wish i never sold, but i needed money at the time. i like the spanish and, especially the astras. i have had 2 star bm's, only one now as i needed money again, and have a firestar m43, which is a great {although heavy for its small size) little pistol. llamas aren't as well made as star or astra, but sold more commercially in the u.s.a. and stayed in business longer. i've had a few, and my favorite is the minimax ii. the ruby/eibar pistols of wwi have a bad reputation because of all the different manufacturers, but their many variations make them collectable. unfortunately the once cheap rubies' prices are rising due to this.
Beautiful Astra. I have a Star BM and love it. have seen a few astra before but didn’t realize their history
I used to have the Astra 600, 9mm. And, I wish that I had kept it!
I bought a Astra 600 9mm in 1970 for $60, wow who would have thought?
