      It was right then that I knew he had no business even thinking about going out for game 5. Even if he had a good practice I still wouldn't want him out there simply because of how long hes been out his injury must be serious.

    • @wanderleisumo
      @wanderleisumo 5 лет назад +21

      True, Jalen was right and very rational, i was shocked how former players like damon jones and Kd's friend Jay Williams were so amped to see him back "Let him go, let him play, hes the best player in the world" that they never for a moment realized how he could reinjure himself in doin that. One month off, no practices, he had ice all over the achilles and you go 12/14 mins?. And then after the injury Jay goes "The comeback was rushed, he shouldnt have done it if he didnt feel 1000%" WOW. Seriously??
      Why a 2 time finals mvp need to injure himself in order to get respect from media and fans?There should be a line between playing injured and total foolishness.

    These were straight facts from Whitlock. A rare W. KD has listened to critics and fans for too long and this time it cost him. Report came in saying he “was no where near 100%”. You don’t play in any series when it was CLEARLY an achilles especially one your team is already down 1-3 in. It was foolish

    • @neugey
      @neugey 5 лет назад +10

      It is puzzling why more consideration to a minutes restriction wasn't given. For a first game back, with lingering tenderness in the achilles area, playing Kevin in short bursts totalling up to 12-20 minutes tops would have made a lot of sense. It would've given the W's the lift they needed but also allowed Kevin to work his way back more carefully. When Kerr left Kevin out there, it was feeling like they were expecting Kevin to carry the team, which was incredibly risky and not fair to Kevin as an athlete.

Now, Kawhi was injured all year in 2018 and the media and the his own team the Spurs called him out. Spurs doctors cleared him but Kawhi insisted he’s not 100%. KD should of done what Kawhi did, listen to your body and don’t let the critics get to you. That’s the problem with KD he’s ultra sensitive that he wants to prove everyone he’s right to play. Wrong move and hopefully does not ruin his career. The Franchise cares about only solely on the Organization. Warriors know he’s 50/50 leaving why not use his last legs to go.

    The report said that his workout did not go well on Friday...Personally i thought it was an Achilles injury from the jump. He didnt reach down and grab his calf, he grabbed down by his achillies. Theres a reason why everyone kept saying that they didnt expect him back at all in the in the finals. Folks knew what the real deal was and now we're seeing and hearing the true emotions from folks. Kd is a grown man and he made his choice but someone should've been in his corner and not let him go out there. Kawhi has walked this path, but he chose to put his career in front of other peoples interest. It feels like there's more to unpack here but I hope the best for KD. It sucks that he took this chance for a fan base who has consistently questioned his value on the team. Like Klay said...Kd is not only the best player on the team, but the planet. This team was not better off without KD on any level. They wouldve lost last night if it wasnt for KD and he only played 11 minutes...smh...Lets go Raptors!

Plus, a person genetics make up could play a role in a injury. Look at Kobe when he torn his, he had no calf related injury.

Some begged on TV for him not to come back, that not even a third ring is worth it. If something that is so openly and widely predicted comes true, the natural reaction shouldn’t be “oh, that was random”. KD’s injury was reasonably foreseeable and the natural outcome of coming back too soon, while still injured, without conditioning or build up.

      Angelia Robinson I disagree, I don’t blame the comementary I blame KD here’s why... Get away from Social Media, Channel out all the negativity. LeBron goes Zero Dark Thirty you don’t see him in Social Media during the playoffs.

      Em Oso exactly it something that's overlooked of Lebron. Dude has gotten hate since he stepped on the court but he learned. In 2011 he melted down bc he wanted to prove everyone wrong but he learned from that and said never again. KD is too caught up in everything, it's human, and it's inevitable to get hate when you make a decision he did, but he's gotta have his circle tell him to stop worrying about every comment on IG. And the media wasn't on KD bc he wasn't playing in the finals, everyone knew in the media that he was injured. They liked seeing him out on the court but inside everyone was concerned

    • @emoso509

After Game 5 of Houston series when he got injured, Golden State Front Office and Coach should of said “ KD is out indefinitely and will not play in the playoffs” end of story.
