Wow.. this game has changed a lot in the last 3 years!! :) Glad you mentioned food swapping between cities, it's very easy in Planetfall.. It's very useful, but it often doesn't get a mention in guides etc..
Awesome I just picked this game up and love seeing videos about these kinds of synergies! If you could make more videos showcasing cool synergies like this Id be happy to watch them :)
@@CalebAdams I already did it ^^ It feels like a mixture of a bunch of strategy games that I already played (AoE, Nortghard, Civ, Xcom, CK2...). Oh, and at least for early game celestial mods seems a little bit OP to me too. Why to burn your foes with weapons when you can burn his soul? ;)
While I like the datacache, I honestly prefer to start with the extra colonists, because it should read "start the game with an extra sector". And that can be very important if your city plops down in a food-poor area. and its really nice if you land next to landmark.
Ya that mod set up is strong. I will have to remember that. But I went a driffrent way and found another op set up. Assembly race with advanced, free research level 2 gunning gear and bigger army with the Zeno class. So right from the start you not only have powerful weapons but a full army level 3 so heal on hit and infect with extra gun damage but can right away research the bio units getting a free army fast. The extra free mod helps as well.
I'm pretty late but promethean dvar bulwark and baron is damn near busted with the fire ammo mod I thought it was like the electric ammo and that it would apply the status I didn't know it was explosive fire ammo
I enjoyed this game so much I had to buy it on Ps4 just to have a physical version bonus cuz it runs nicely eve tho I mostly do PC. Wish games like this had physical versions my uncle has such an epic boxed retro pc games and it makes me sad that game dont do that anymore
Just started playing this game looking for fun new combo's might give this a shot, any recommendations ? And you know what truly is hilariously overpowered Syndicate Psynumbra. They are extremely cosmite heavy but my god are they wrecking literally everything. I basically make an army of only them with the right mods and it basically results in 2800ish power. It's hilarious seeing their chained attacks just wreck at least half the enemy army before they make their counter attack. Butttt it kinda ruins the fun to literally nothing can stop me. I send 2 of these doomstacks against a heavily fortified settlement with several high level stacks...I loose nothing and If I fuck up I loose perhaps one unit. vs their 3-4 stacks+ a city good trade.
I just bought the game. How are you doing multiple tactical ops per battle? I see this video is from 2 years ago, did they change it at some point? Cause I can only do it once per battle :(
Valefisk released a video at almost the same time as you, and then posted the trailer at almost the same time you did. This caused my subscription feed to be four posts about this game in succession from two completely unrelated youtubers. Maybe it’s because paradox sponsored both of you, but the timing is still bizarre. Haven’t seen a strategy gaming RUclipsr coincidence like this since ISP and Drew Durnil gave all hoi4 countries all techs at the same time about a year ago. This is a long story that doesn’t really matter, but it was a strange experience. TLDR Valefisk stole your idea. You should take revenge.
@@cubski ok so secret tech changes maybe 1 or 2 doctrines not all that impressive considering the natures of the secret techs they should really be bigger impacts.
@@michaell8000 I agree there's still room for improvements and variety. But happy so far with the base game, not to mention its just a week from release and I didn't have any problems, even released patches a couple days ago.
The "8 Chance" works like it did in Age of Wonders III, IIRC it's 5% times the number minus the enemies resistance score
I am really enjoying this new video format.

More Planetfall content, please!
And this format of yours is the best thing on RUclips!
Love.
WOW! I fell in love with the concept. Looks like a mix of XCOM and Civ.
Get the game, it's a MASTERPIECE

"Send him out to find caches and stuff" (walks right past shinies) xD
This game runs so SMOOOTH in multiplayer. love playing with my gamer buddy. we even start right next to each other in multiplayer campaign
Kill it with fire!
But seriously, it's cool Paradox sponsored this, thanks for showing the game, looks interesting.
At first i read "Plato" and was mightily confused by it.

Me: Age of wonder: Planetfall? Where's the civ 6 vids?
Also me: Yeah! Potato plays age of wonder!
Civ 6 Quotes... "I am fond of pigs. [...]"
Yeah, i can relate

Very nice to see one of my favorite content creators once I switched over to a new game from Civ 6.

Milton, the fire mage from Gothic!
Thanks for the Video, I've learned more than on dedicated Tutorial Videos. Really enjoyed it.

Thou shall not muzzle the ox
My assembly snipers get upto +60% damage off one module, starting tech too. It's actually +20% per kill, seen a 90+ hit with my sniper hero.
what is your starting tech btw? oh yeah, promethian.
Play more of this game
:)
I get severe HoMM vibes from this game, love it~
Thank you so much for sharing this.

Haha!
I want mod historic for this game
paradox is paying for playing this game...
one thing with the secret tech I'm kinda sad it's limited to military.
It's not. Some of the other tech's change depending on your secret tech (I think its just 2 on the top tree, but still).
There are some doctrines that are specific to secret techs, not just military.

There's 2 doctrines with each secret tech but yeah I know you what you mean but I don't think it's a bad thing.
Is it just me or it seems like the manual battles run at 15 fps? The rest of the game seems pretty good though.
