Loved seeing my girl Martha Reeves last night on Jimmy Kimmel Live. This 70 year old Vandella shows she can still hang with the big boys. Looks like this is going to be a hit!
Go on Martha! It ain't "Heatwave" or "Dancing in the Street" or "Nowhere to Run". But it is the most exciting record she has released in a long time. Work it out Crystal Method! You can't make me leave, I ain't going nowhere!
I think this is the best collab in the whole re:generation project. the musical styles are perfectly complimented and not only do they sync well together but they also amplify each other to create the ultimate funk! a job well done!
Just finished the movie and LOVED it! Fascinating pull-back of the curtain on the creative process. Love all the work, but LOVE this track! Amazing vocals, amazing hooks, amazing work -- brilliant.
@FunkyDeeMusic Pioneer and an artist got together to put together an artistic representation of what the crystal method's music is. They often incorporate synths, guitars, basses. So the artist combined all that onto a CDJ. They're none functioning. It's just artist's creation
I love you guys so much, and this song and video is an amazing example to the execution of your craft. It brought me right back to how I felt seeing you guys @ Identity Festival @ the Gorge.
I don't know if I'd put Skrillex below DJ Premier and Mark Ronson, while the those two basically mashed their tracks with the other musicians Skrillex actually went against his EDM nature to include John Densmore's drumming and bongo-ing ( a HUGE part of that track) not to mention Manzarek's keyboard, a key component of The Doors' sound in songs like "Hello, I Love You" and "Light My Fire".
I believe that last assumption was your downfall, if you listen to his version of "Valerie" with Amy Winehouse or even more pop-sounding songs like "The Bike Song" it's pretty clear to me Mark Ronson is one jazzy guy.

2:24 Phil Collins would have been great singing this part! It would have taken this song to another level :D
What the heck is that thing at 3:02? It has a CDJ-2000 and an Akai LPK on it i think.
Reminds me of "smoked" featured in London OST feat Troy bones. BTW THIS IS AN AWESOME SONG

as pop and hated as he's become, I have to agree... Skrillex is a game-changer.

Not true.....Look up his album Here comes the fuzz.....Rock disco and hip hop have influenced his sound as well....
