Good luck Jon 👍 Great start, 2 casts two fish 😊, nice steady match Jon, you did well to get them out in a tight swim with the snag 3m off the far bank and the airator, I'm enjoying watching, changing baits and tactics
Well done on the section Jon 👍 not an easy days fishing with all pegs I'm getting frustrated now as I've not been fishing since the beginning of June after having a knee operation, It's watching you that's keeping me sane, Tight lines 🤞🤞🤞
well done mate, cheered me up, still in for bloody covid, getting bit worried I won't be out in time to get ready for my disabled national, so thanks for the videos mate👍🏆
@@JonArthur just been discharged from Hospital today, hoping I'll be able to fish nxt weekend at tunnel , right now I'm just exhausted getting from car to the house. Love the bait shed shorts btw👍
Great video 📹 👍 again Jon m8 just watching you in this i must say how do you hold your Cool when you lose a fish 🐟 Mr ice 🧊 lol i think if that was me my rattle would've been outa the pram 😭😪 I've really not got any patience unless it's fishing 👍👏 but must say well done
That's a good question and it was on my mind to do some separate hooklengths just for wafters, but the main reason was because I can fish anything on a micro band and fully expected to be using banded maggots and pellets as well as wafters. The exact same rig was used on my pellet/bomb swim too for simplicity and convenience. A spike is only good for wafters. But if I went regularly I would do some hooklengths with spikes for sure.
Back in the day we always kept our rods almost parallel to the bank for feeder/bomb fishing, yours are almost perpendicular - any reason for the change?
There is no advantage to having it 90 degrees with modern techniques, even bream fishing. Bites are clearly visible and if you are clipping up to an island its very hard to drag the rod sideways without moving the feeder. Plus facing forwards allows you to survey the peg and feed much easier.
Side puller is much more convenient and allows you to quickly tension the elastic. Puller bung gives you a bit more elastic, but is slightly more fiddly when putting sections together and harder to tension quickly. Both have their uses though side pullers are most popular these days.
On this occasion those lost fish were unlikely to get you more than a section win unless the weights elsewhere were low. Looks like you sucked as much as you can out of the peg. Well done mate 👍
No they're actually tough fish. I think the extra long hooklength rule means you foul hook a lot of fish. It happens to everyone at the Glebe, no matter who they are.
What are laurel and hardy on about you cant cast, I watched your casting and you were with in a two foot square easy, bad luck in losing loads of fish, ps you didn't say how much weight you needed to qualify, and please could you make the text last a bit longer, cheers Jon 👍👍
They still catch huge weights without them, but the weights might be too much if they were allowed. I'm OK with them not being allowed but I'd personally just like to see the 20in hooklength reduced to a more sensible 12in which should stop so many foul-hookers.
Its a shame they seem to insist on using every peg, you would expect to double your weight with more gaps on lake 1. Also every lake could produce a winning weight.
Jon you did well on the day mate what is it with these silly rules love um or hate um we have to respect them and adhere to them but no slapping why? And what's the point in a 50cm hook length surely from a fish safety point of view its better to hook them in the lip n not the tail fins or side and when your breaking hook lengths off into foul hooked fish that's just ridiculous their happy putting every peg in on a pool when the carp are close to spawning that's a lot of pressure and wasted bait gone into a pool so Where's the fish welfare there seems to me like the glebe are happy to make the money but don't really like the idea of common sense. Sorry about the rant Jon but it just don't seem right🤔
I kind of agree but it's Roy's fishery, its a lovely venue and I try and respect his rules and fish to them. You'll never change his mind anyway. It kind of levels the field a bit too.
Well done Jon for your section win
Thanks for the video always a great watch 🎣🎣
Many thanks for watching
Great fishing John more nuggets you just about had fish on all your rods and pole loved the banter thight lines as allways
Glad you enjoyed it

Great effort Jon, always frustrating when you lose fish but as always you kept plugging away and got a result🎣🎣🎣
Thanks comes with the venue losing a few fish 👍

Many thanks MM. I saw Woody pulled out half a tree a few pegs to my left a week later, so those snags could be anything!
Well done JON keep picking those brown envelopes up , lovely video can't say you didn't try enough methods .
Cheers Ray
great fishing again jon shame about lost fish but it happens to all good vid again.
Cheers John
Another great video,well done.
Cheers MM
Ringing the changes on the swims and methods certainly seemed to work Jon. Congratulations on the section win.
Thanks 👍
Great informative video Jon, well fished for a section win mate, good luck 👍 👏
Thanks Colin!
Nice Video Jon, and another envelope
Thanks again!

Thanks Thomas
Well done jon quality fishing buddy
Glad you enjoyed it
Not a brilliant area to draw but made the most of it as always with the section win... Well done and great fishing 👍
Thanks Dave, wouldve been a great peg if we had normal amount of room
Well done and a great result(section win).Dont they hang on or off in your case Jon ,lost some big fish as well.
So hard fighting on the day. 2 weeks later on the UK Champs they seemed to pull a lot less and I caught 100lb more!
Wow that first fish had my nerves going thinking alsorts with that long tail but well done 👏
Thanks 👍

Literals everyone loses fish at the Glebe. It's impossible not to, so I just try and accept it and think about the next fish!
Well done Jon great video as always. Would it be possible to leave the captions on for a few seconds longer please thanks
Cheers, I can try
Well done Jon. 77 pound wondered how close you were with your clicker
Im useless with a clicker!
Hi John. What was the reason for banding the wafters on after the perfect demonstration video of how the presentation is so much better on a bayonet?
That's a good question and it was on my mind to do some separate hooklengths just for wafters, but the main reason was because I can fish anything on a micro band and fully expected to be using banded maggots and pellets as well as wafters. The exact same rig was used on my pellet/bomb swim too for simplicity and convenience. A spike is only good for wafters. But if I went regularly I would do some hooklengths with spikes for sure.
John what’s with your members only channel? Really enjoy watching your videos and fully understand why you want to have a membership Cheers Neal
All explained on the video: ruclips.net/video/SqIolYO3AD8/видео.html
I’m always awed by you precision cast. Almost supernatural. Any tips other than practice, practice, practice? ;)
Cheers, the camera makes me look better ha ha! Believe it's going where you want it and choose the correct length rod for the distance.
Many thanks Jorg
@@JonArthur Thank you very mutch... have a nice day.... see you….
Thanks!
So generous of you and thanks for all the support!!! 👍👍👍👍👍
Great video Jon well done for section win, seeing you catch that tench i was just wondering if you ever go anywhere to target them?
Yes there's a couple of venues I like fishing for them, so watch this space!
cracking video bud.
Cheers TJ
Great video? Think your reel could do with a service!
Cheers. Just a loud anti reverse that's so close to the mic I think!
Well done jon
Cheers Stevan
Lovely Jon, lost loads as well
Yep, cannot fish the Glebe without a few hook pulls. Happens to 100% of anglers if they're using a 20in hooklength...
@@JonArthur I must go and try the Glebe
Thanks
Once again many many thanks for the loyal support Jak! Hope you have a great weekend!
Great enjoyable video one question long or short matrix feeder arm is that your using ?
Short one. Best feeder arm Ive ever used!
@@JonArthur cheers jon ordered one 👍

well done Mr A ... good weight , you said an easy win ?? what were the other weights ??? 🤔
still a win is a win 🏆 ...
Sorry that was a bit of a joke for those in the know!
Hi great video again what pellets do you use in the feeder
Generally prefer Sonubaits Fin Perfect 2mms as they're so easy to use
Do you just soak them first
in the dosh again top rod
Thanks for watching Chris
Great fishing not too sure about the reels mate
Cheers for watching Chris. Just a noisy anti reverse!
What coffee grinder are you using on feeder rod?😁
Ha ha! Cheers. Just a loud anti reverse that's so close to the mic I think!
Good stuff - a bit long at 40 mins for 1/2hr break time but I just fast forward the bits where you were talking and worked out fine.
Cheers 👍🍺🍌
You scallywag! :-)
No method feeders or slapping , crazy rules in my opinion. Oh and your reel sounds like it's taken a battering Jon 😎🤣
As a member even with the rules you can catch 100plus on most pegs … people win matches with 200 to 400 lbs .. wtf
I don't mind the rules as its such a nice place to fish and it levels the playing field a bit and as Chris says it's still a big-weight venue
@@JonArthur true, what's the logic in no methods?
Whats the difference between the side puller and a bung inside the top kit.
Side puller is much more convenient and allows you to quickly tension the elastic. Puller bung gives you a bit more elastic, but is slightly more fiddly when putting sections together and harder to tension quickly. Both have their uses though side pullers are most popular these days.
@@JonArthur okay thank you for the help.
On this occasion those lost fish were unlikely to get you more than a section win unless the weights elsewhere were low. Looks like you sucked as much as you can out of the peg. Well done mate 👍
Thanks Mark, yes that was definitely all that was for grabs. Needed a different lake and a bit of room to frame!
Another cracking VLOG, just a quick question, your reel sounds like there’s something worn on the retrieval ?
Is he using braid?
lol sounds like it needs a gallon of oil!
Just a noisy anti reverse next to the mic I think!
Braid's definitely not allowed on 95% of venues I fish!
@@JonArthur oh so the reel is making the noise
Are they very soft mouthed fish Jon.Could easily have finished well over the ton.Well done anyway.
No they're actually tough fish. I think the extra long hooklength rule means you foul hook a lot of fish. It happens to everyone at the Glebe, no matter who they are.
Is there something wrong with that reel Jon? It didn’t sound clever
Just a noisy anti reverse next to the mic I think!

Thanks James, Woody and the doggers are only jesting, plus Ive seen him casting recently... say no more! ;-)
@@JonArthur ha ha ha
Amazes me why they don’t allow method feeders

@@JonArthur seems like a rule for the sake of a rule. There would be less fish lost, less foul hooked fish, and less gear lost.
Who says Jon Can not cast , looks ok to me .
Just Dave Woody who says that ha ha... and I watched his last vid casting... say no more! ;-)
World's noisiest reel?
Nah it's just next to my mic and a noisy anti reverse
Nice days fishing Jon bit of lube on the reel needed methinks
Just a noisy anti reverse that's all
That reel sounds rough
Just a loud anti reverse that's so close to the mic I think
Its a shame they seem to insist on using every peg, you would expect to double your weight with more gaps on lake 1. Also every lake could produce a winning weight.
These big qualifiers are always tight and reliant on gaps and space caused by no shows. Great venue though and a days fishing still!
