Quigley and Mosley jr are warriors, this fight could easily finish with a draw but I think they both need to improve a lot before facing the big guys of the division, they are to open when they punch
I would like to see that fight again. I know Quigley said he wants to move forward but it was entertaining, close and I don't think either of them is ready for world level yet.
Quigley is 30 man I would want to move forward with my career. Though I personally wouldn’t mind seeing a rematch.
These guys are 30 years old . This is the limit of their ability .. the fight was entertaining but a decent fighter would ko these guys within 3 rounds

Shane leaves himself open to counter punching when he throws his power punches.
I agree. He gets hit with unnecessary shots when hes clearly better than that. He needs to keep boxing block better and dont give in to his inner lion agression. His boxing wins fights and is on point. But Qigleys Jab and pressure while being pressured did it the job.

Shane jr. Needs to use jabs and feints to set up big shots. Jr uses way too much power shots.

Yes ,leading off with the right low to body got him countered each time...Jab Jab Jab and snap and retract steady and pick the right shots at perfect time..Thst right to body was great,just not as a lead shot.
Mosley Jr. looks extremely raw to say he’s the son of an all time great..

@@rt9519 agreed. It’s just strange he looks completely lost in the ring. By default he should be genetically inclined to box. I’m sure he grew up in the gym. I remember watching videos of him when he was a kid. It’s strange to see
@@joedirt9300 not really. Chavez was a limited boxer with no fire or desire to be a great boxer but Mosley Jr. doesn’t even look like he’s ever boxed before

There are weight classes for a reason, doesn't really matter at all
Mosley has heart no doubt but needs smoother movement and improved defense.

These guys are old for Boxing ...in the sense of ..not ALREADY being skillfully Seasoned. If they haven't squired boxing Skills at this age...they probably never will.
Snap and retract on all shot and lead shot he must choose so to not set up opponents countering him..
That body right was getting him caught much,needed the jab more as a lead shot..

Your crazy his Dad was a way better fighter. They don't resemble eachother at all. His Dads speed was insane and so was his power this kid has neither...

I don't know why Mosley Jr wanted to trade. For me, he won the first four rounds before he changed the game plan.

@@realityddo7353 Cannot see that. It was Mosley Jr's home town and let's be honest it's not like Quigley is a big name or some future superstar. He doesn't have a ton of money behind him.
We have the benefit of a better viewpoint slow mo replays etc , in the heat of the moment when it's close they see what they see , commentary is shocking tho big right hand lands ... Erm where it missed ?? More like WWE commentary than boxing experts

Mosley jr. is open to left hooks all day but it was a close fight, could've gone either way or a draw.
Two great fighters, I enjoyed watching.
Boxing is so beautiful fights like these make me appreciate no matter how hard to train you will find yourself in hard fights it about punch selection

I can assure you the moment Jr started taking boxing seriously Sr taught him everything he knew but that doesn’t mean his son was gonna be a carbon copy, sugar Shane is a legend those don’t come around often
Shane Mosley wasn't an okay fighter, his jab was aight, his right hand was his best shot , he use a flickering waving jab to set it up sometimes.
You can't it's like comparing apples to oranges... sugar shane is a legend. Jr.

Quigley won pretty clearly Mosleys shots where getting blocked a lot of the time and getting countered he started off well but then Quigley just kept countering him

Great battle. Both have big hearts, I had Mosley Jr slightly ahead though. He's so similar to his dad! the stance, position of his feet and hands, head movement and the speed; it's all there. Just needs to adjust his defensive technique and he'll be right up there.
Glad Quigg has a Spanish nickname, " El animal " and kudos for his win.
I had Mossley jr ,needs to be a rematch ,he had Quigley hurt ,and never jumped on him after the body shot

Mosley Jr has improved a heck of a lot. Flaws are still well on display but at least his punch Velocity has improved. He looks more and more like a fighter. He has to improve his defense or he won’t last that long. He’ll take a lot of knock out loses as the competition improves.

Its different when you come from money than when you trying to make it. Jr didnt need boxing. Pops made it out the muscle despite his two early losses to Forrest.
He stretched out when his father stayed more over his front foot to retract quickly..
He should watch tape of him , maybe taking doing on his own to far when similar style would fit him as well.
In the same form he may similar if he tried.
