Just got mine a few days ago. Loving it, it's lots of fun. I have to be careful not fly it much outside since there is a bunch of snow on the ground. I love the flips! It's done a double flip a few times but I've also learned if you kill the throttle just as your copter is starting a flip you can do multiple flips. I've smash it a bunch of times into the ground and stuff around the house and still no damage to it. Very happy with this product so far and I hope it doesn't break on me lol.
Yeah it's a great quad and very tough, awesome to hear your having fun with it mate it's a great hobby isn't it?
xtratalk1 Thanks for the reply! Love your videos. And yes it's a great hobby, I'm already looking into a build for a racing drone for the summer. I'd love to hear suggestions if you have any!
great vid, do you know if the FODA Hawkeye D15-F is the same as the SYMA? It looks exactly the same
About 7 minutes.
hi saw one second hand and gotton it for 20 pound, im 63 and never used one , use to fly model aircraft years ago. so found your instructions as none with mine very useful, im very interested in build a quad bike ,so we thought start at the novice end and learn about them.so found your video very useful . if we get hang of this one we may spend real money ...lol...what would you reccomend for our next one ? best wishes . SINCLAIR RESEARCH.
still cant figure the difference between modes and also having hard time trimming it out. If its going to the right do you click the trim to the right?? or is opposite?--thanks...just learning
Hey I got one X5C but it doesnt seem to connect to the remote... (when I try to do the left joystick "straight up, and then down" thing, the quadcopter simply do not seem to be connected and the light continue to flash.) Do you know how to fix it?
Wish it was as easy to fly as you make it to be. I'm still learning with mine but can't seem to keep it in the air for more than 2 minutes. Also... I have trouble getting it to move forward and backward. Is that because of the time it takes to get the signal from the transmitter to the copter? Just wondering. Also found that if you drop these into water like I did (ditch), just give them a day or 2 to dry out.
Hi all having great fun with this, however now only three of the props spin up, will start with a but of flicking, any thoughts on what could have gone wrong? Thanks in advance John
Just got the Syma X5c-1 but did not have the sd card? Very dumb question? How do U download the video to your laptop, and where can I order the sd card???
Nice video! I'm getting one of these soon and can't wait now after watching this, it looks like it goes further than I thought too!
If my RC CONTROL BATTERIES ARE LOW WILL MOTORS WORK PROPERLY STILL ? Just wanna know in case I have this prob
Great video, thanks a lot, i receive mine today, but i had a few problems to control it.. its my first time with a quadcoptero or with a any RC fly toy, any suggests, or you plan make a video showing how you use the remote control
I decided to watch this after having one of these fly away and then the other crashing into a tree. Definitely cleared things up! Thank you!
Hello I bought one of these recently thing is only one rotor responds to the throttle to any point of acceleration. Question would it be likely the other three motors are flawed? or perhaps the gyro is not working properly? (does not lift off, only rotates clockwise currently / or one side (side with the strong motor) lifts off and eventually flips it on it's back.)
is there a simple test to better diagnose this? Thank you for your help.
Yes it may just need recalibrating which is really easy to do. See this video ruclips.net/video/hhLMbq3LkrM/видео.html and if that does/doesn't work let me know...
Just ordered one of these online to learn how to fly quadcopters. One thing I have seen that is recommended is learning to fly with auto stabilization turned off so that you develop the multitasking and coordination skills required for more complex and faster vehicles.
Is there any way to turn of stabilization or auto hove with this quad?
Thanks so much for posting this guide. I got one of these recently and I have a few questions regarding the camera. To use it I need to hold down on the button to start recording until I hear a long beep, but do I need to hold the button down again to stop recording? The manual is a bit ambiguous, it says the recording will stop automatically when the remote controller is turned off. When can I start recording, when the controller is synced to the copter? Is there any indication on the LCD display to tell me when it's recording. The reason I am asking these questions is that when I check my SD card after flying I often find that many of the video files are 0 bytes in length, and occasionally they are more than 0 bytes but I can't copy them from the SD card. I found a way to properly timestamp the files (can't remember where) but what would also be useful it to stop the audio recording - it's just motor noise, the space would be better used for more video. Many thanks in advance!
Yes you need to sync to the quad first or it won't get your command, when you have been filming video you need to press the button again and stop recording and it then saves properly to the SD card.
xtratalk1 many thanks ;)
I just got mine. Very novice. It looks like the green lights indicate the front of the craft?
I have 2 syma x5c quad copters and nether will flip. I push the top right button and quickly push the ailiron control stick but nothing happens. please help
Question: when I take off, it always veers to one side. Is it because when the gyro initiated, the surface is not level? or do i need to do something to change the remote? what are those fine tune stuff?
You can easy recalibrate your quadcopter as shown here: ruclips.net/video/hhLMbq3LkrM/видео.html
Very nice demo, thanks! Mine will arrive in 3 days, looking forward to it.
actually i am pressing up on the throttle but its not flying, the blades are spinning but not flying
am I missing something ? i really got frustrated , Any help plz ?
Friend, I am unable to change from mode 1 to mode 2, follow the instructions in the User Manual but I can not. Could you tell me how do I change the mode 1 to mode 2 and reverse?
While the controller and drone are switched off, keep pushing the button/switch underneath the right control stick with your finger, pushing it to the right hand direction to hold it there for the same time as you switch the controller ON. The controller will long-beep, then look to the left of the four smaller circles at top-center of the LCD screen for what Mode the controller is in. Repeat this procedure from the beginning (turn controller OFF) to change controller Mode from 1 to 2, or from 2 to 1 depending on what control preference you like from pictures in the instruction manual Page 6 and 7...
So what happens when it loses connection to the controller? Does it go down on it's own or will it just crash?
I got a Syma X5SW for Xmas and I've been having some problems. When i take off it'll start turning one way or another or swivel the opposite and so forth. I feel like I've tried every damn combination on the remote to get it to just stay still and just HOVER when i take off! Anyone have any ideas? Would GREATLY APPRECIATE SOME HELP HERE. THANKS
my controller will not stop beeping and wont show the batterie power but it works fine whats up with that?
hi. great video. how can i calibrate when the drone intent to raise without moving the left stick. 2-3stop down would be great but how??
Really enjoyed the video. I just bought one and was very pleasently surprised at how nice it was. It is very intuitive to fly and the video, while not of mobius quality, is very good. As soon as I get decent with it, it will remove the guards to lighten it up but in the meanwhile they will save some blades.
Just got this for Christmas. Your video was very helpful and inspiring!
Brilliant videao. I opened and set up my new Syma X5C all in accordance with manual. However when i accelerate upwards the quadcopter doesnt hover or fly, I cannot get it to set off. What could be the problem?
If it's not going straight up when you press the throttle then it's likely you have the props on in the wrong order, it's very important to have them on the right way as two motors go one way and two the other. Make sure they are on this way: imgur.com/q7Pm5rf
I've managed to get another and I'm using mode 2 instead of mode 1 because it seems easier to handle I've also extended antenna what mode you use.
Mine will not charge. When i plug the usb into my computer it flashes red for a half second and goes dark, this is an out of box problem and I am sure that i have connected the wire to the charger correctly. Help?
Sucks to have bad luck my friend. Mathematical statistics will always prove at least 1 in 1000 electronics will malfunction
can anyone tell me if this use the same controls as the traxxas alias? Like if I know how to fly the Alias I would kno how to fly this?
I've ordered one and can't wait to get it. Thanks for the videos. Any idea how much payload this could lift?
Not to much. You can replace the stock camera with #808 keychain for better video, adding few grams. Someone managed to lift a mobius, drastically reducing flight time. In any case we suggest to remove the prop guards and also the landing skid to eliminate unnecessary weight.
So far I've had it carry a plastic carrier bag, a spy key chain cam and a full metal sparkler amongst other things so it is capable of a little weight.
How do you know if your too high? I don't have it yet but im about to order it
Hey can I have some help. I got this thing today and when I first tried it it worked great but now when I plug the battery in the lights go on so I try to fly it but then it shuts down so I need help
Can you charge these up only through USB on laptop and other devices on a trickle charge or can they connect to your mobile charger...
Not that I've tried it myself, but maybe one of the wall socket plug type USB chargers could work faster. Using a Samsung laptop with a USB 3.0 port, my average recharge from dead flat to 'red light out' (meaning 'full charge') is 25 minutes...
Nice Vid! How do you 'switch' mode on this? So that when you move left/right with left throttle stick the quadcopter moves in that direction rather than spin.... and when you move right stick left/right, the copter spins....? im sure you have to hold somthing down while switching on Tx but cant figure it out... thanks, Happy New Year!
Hi Spare14All. You can change from Mode 1 to Mode 2 by pushing in the trim button while switching the remote control on. On some models it's the trim button on the left of the power button and on some it's the trim button on the right of the remote.
Hello! Thanks for doing this video. It has really helped me start out me "quad" journey. :) I got my copter (X5C-1) yesterday for Christmas and I've been having a lot of fun flying it around the house. Now I'm just waiting for a nice day to take it outside.
My Question: What is the crash durability of this model? (general question I know but take it any way you want) any answer will be fine. :)
They are actually pretty durable. If you're new to quads and practicing inside then putting the prop protectors on is a good idea at first as it will save clipping your props. Outdoors they are good, I've dropped them out of the sky from high altitudes onto solid ground surfaces and they've survived most crashes, the light weight of them helps with this.
xtratalk1 Nice! Believe me the guards where the first thing I did. (I figured it wasn't was to fly a propeller into someone... or the tree...) :P I actually was able to do a test flight outside today and it worked wonderfully. There was some wind drag but to much that it was hard to fly... I'm loving quads more and more!!!!!!
Lord Queezle Ha ha yeah they're awesome and really addictive ;)
Can the mode be changed on the screen so that throttle and aileron are on the left stick ?
How long does the battery lasts for this one compared to the x8 ?
Found mine in a vacant apartment doing make readys i charged up the battery and it works but it wont fly level what am i missing first time flying one
OK, Ive got the manual in English now, only to realize it is my xt that is definetly out of whack. Here's my problem: when the right dirction lever is pushed forward (or backward or left/right without any deviation, I should get a single arrow on the LCD display indicating the corresponding direction. I DO NOT, What I do get are two (2) arrows indicating radiating out from the center.Top left Quadrant when lever is moved north. Bottom right quadrant when lever is moved south. xt will not display arrows in top right nor the bottom left quadrant. I discovered this while fine tuning & looking at the LCD display. I noticed the quad would not fly over a single axis but instead was combining two. in other words this Syma X5c-2 will not fly straight forward, nor straight back, nor side to side. I hope I have conveyed my problem sufficiently. I ve had it a week. all other functions seem to function properly. AAAAAARRRGGHH! CAN ANY ONE HELP ?
hi, I just bought one for me and I'd like to know how hight does it go? 50m,100m? tnx.
Hi Andrea, it will go very high, basically it will go as high as you like so long as it is in range. 50m is the approx quoted range on the standard X5C models and the newer version the X5C-1 (see my other videos) is quoted as having a much further range. You can easilly extend the range of the X5C, have a look at my "Syma X5C Remote - Easy Antenna Range Extender Mod" video to see how.
Due to the many factors involved the height possible varies so it's hard to give a certain answer but if you take it outside I'm sure you won't be disappointed. One thing though, if your new to this and it's a windy day don't go too far at first as it's easy to loose control, like anything the more you practice the better you get. Have fun :)
So... what happens when you lose Radio Control of it? On my 3rd flight out, it went behind a tree and I haven't seen it since... had a fresh battery charge. Looked all over. Will it go up, up, up, or when it loses communication does it drop like a rock?
Sorry to hear that David, it's not uncommon and a few of these have been lost. When the quad looses contact with the remote it should go dead but there are a lot of variables to take into account. I often go in and out of range where the quad will flash and loose power for a slight second and then regain it again so long as you don't go completely out of range. We lost one that was very high in strong winds, when it went out of range it certainly didn't drop out of the sky and was carried away but I think that was due to the quad being light and the wind getting hold of it rather than it still flying on it's own accord.
xtratalk1
Thanks for the reply. I ended up finding it buried in the tree I lost sight of it. Took a couple days, but after it snowed, I was able to see the tip of one of the propellers and was able to hook it with a long pole! Back to flying again and know now that it will eventually drop if I lose control.
David Hake Glad you got it back :)
Just brought one an can't wait to fly it an have fun with it!!
Just wondered if the lcd screen on the remote controller gave you a view from the camera??
It was not clear in the details
On amazon
Hi Dave. No it isn't FPV, the video records to a Micro SD Card which you can then retrieve on your PC/Laptop but no live FPV view.
Hey wonder if you can help, just bought my son one of these but when I turn the controller on it doesn't beep it just buzzes and the green light in the middle flashes and doesn't control anything on the actual drone
I know I'm late and chance you'll see this are slim but what did you do in the end? Did it work?
@@shapsugh1864 Afraid not, we ended up chucking it 😔
Hi!! thanks for the video. I used my drone every day yestarday. Today i can't in to the ready for flight state. I turn on the drone, turn on the radiocontrol, i go up and down with the thortle and nothing.
I charge the battery everynight, change the batteries of the radiocrontol and buy another battery of drone. Can you help me?
Thanks!! Santiago, Argentina.
Put the drone on level surface, then turn on control, then turn on drone and wait for lights to go steady. Then go straight up and down on throttle. If you do it in that order and it still isn't syncing it looks like you have a problem.
It won't let me upload the videos on my Mac it says something about not be supported or something someone please help
Does the remote box have a battery gauge for the copter or do u just have a certain length of time?
Hi Steve. The controller does not have a battery indicator for the quad itself just for the controller. Basically you need to be aware of the max flight time of the battery and bring it in before it's time to be safe, the quadcopter itself will blink to let you know it's battery is almost gone but it's easy to miss in the daytime.
xtratalk1 Thanks
nice guide! what is that beeping sound just before you 'flip' the quadcopter?
It beeps when you press the flip button to confirm you've pressed it, then any push in any direction will make it flip in that direction.
Can somebody help me???...... The camera is always green even when i presses the up right button of the remote and no pictures-no videos have been recorded (the sd card is inside the camera). What could be the reason??
Try disconnecting it and then reconnec it firmly. Then when in flight hold down the top right button (on the top right of the remote control) for 1-3 seconds, it should beep to indicate it's recording.
can any suggest a site that sells them for $50 canadian ,i can only find them for $100,also what version of the syma x5 seris is the better version thanks
Try Gearbest, Ebay or Amazon. The X5C-1 is the latest and best version but this is now sold and branded as the X5C.
Ok cool thank u very much
While your YT clip was 1 of the more thorough showing HOW TO WORK THE CONTROLS, I'm sure I speak for other #DroneBeginners, who's want to see someone spend an entire video on the Left & Right Controls! So many guys just spent 2 minutes on the controls & then the next 12-20 minutes showing-off their good (or in many cases bad) flying skills.
Using the X15 different drone same controls like in your video???
can someone tell me if you can backflip these?
and if you can what do you press on the transmitter?
thanks guys
Brings back an old memory of mine.
About five years ago I got one of these for Christmas I was incredibly excited but then I discovered the camera didn't work and I was like well it'll still be fun to fly around like an RC helicopter I took it out it went about 20 feet up in the air and then just fell out of the air slammed into a bush and completely quit working I was like well this is a complete disaster but at least I have a working SD card that came with it no it was snapped in half so we brought it back to Kmart and decided to buy a different one and the thing is the packaging was very misleading because it was a freaking Micro Drone in a box the size of something midsize with a very misleading and unproportioned picture I flew that thing around in the house for about 2 minutes and slammed into the wall and snap the propeller and I just never cared to replace the propeller and just left it alone for years Its in a bag in my shed somewhere I don't know if I ever have the motivation I might buy propellers for it and
Thank you. It was like having a friend come over and show me the ropes.
Glad to help and thanks for the comment :)
I am a 72 year old beginner. Your video was essential to my startup. I hope to use this to record some of my more interesting ATV outings. See some of them at Jerry Hamby. Thanks.
+Jerry Hamby forever young respect pal
Jerry Hamby Iain
i think its a great hobby at any age. Well done sir.
Got a cheap bargain from Taobao.com and getting started to learn how to fly. Thanks for your quick introduction, Pal.
No problem and hope you have a lot of fun flying :)
This video made my mind up to get this quad and it's great except, I am struggling with the video, it recorded the first flight first and since then all I get is o bytes of video. I am gutted and don't know how to get this to video consistantly, hope you can help. Tried turning the video off before turning the quad off but same result. It flies very nice and would be perfect for what I want, that's to take on my motorcycle travels and taking videos of the areas I visit. Hope you can help
Make sure you push and hold the button in for video (as a short press just takes a photo). You should see the red/green light change on the camera to show it is recording, when finished make sure you press the button again to stop and save the video before turning off the quad. You don't have to fly it to practice and test the camera, if you still have problems then try reformatting the SD card on your PC or Laptop.
Obrigado. (Portuguese: Google Tradutor).
Hiya all. Another one who has joined the track down the quadcoptor route!. Never had anything like this before but following a car accident, fishing is limited now so decided to try and find a 'new hobby'. I got mine in 7 days from China, put it together and found one of the blades does spin freely and as such, trimming it is nigh on impossible :-(. I have tried everything (so has my son) and you really have to 'work' the controls. I bought this as it seemed the sensible thing to do instead of going straight for a H500 !!! Anyway, is there any way of freeing this blade or should I just contact the seller and have chats? Your help (new and old) would be appreciated. Thanks
Hi David, the first thing to check is that the blades are on in the right order (very important) they must be on like this: imgur.com/q7Pm5rf
If those are all on the correct way give it a recalibration (easy) as shown here: ruclips.net/video/hhLMbq3LkrM/видео.html
If you are still having the same problem then it looks like you may have a faulty one and should get in touch with the seller ASAP for a replacement.
xtratalk1 Thanks for the reply and info but I am sure it will (or should not) come as no surprise when I tell you that after watching a number of your video's (well before I even considered one) I have followed all the correct steps and double checked everything so will have to conclude with you that I have a fault :-(. Although I could learn to fly it, it would be better if it behaved correctly in the first place. I am going to go outside and check the video as well as a quick test indoors produced a very grainy picture and if the camera is also faulty, this will just add to my woe's . Thanks again
David Dibben I would get on to them right away then David, most sellers are usually good with customer service so they should replace it as soon as possible. A blade not moving freeley with no obvious obstruction is usually down to a bad/faulty motor.
xtratalk1 Thanks again. I have just sent off an email to the supplier and have also done a video as well. The other thing which I have found is the copter kept cutting out and have tracked this down to a faulty battery connection. I only have to 'touch' the copter and the power goes! Although I have had problems, it has definitely hooked me to quadcopters! Now to wait and see what comes back. Thanks again..:-)
I too was in a very bad car accident! Was a Deer hunter, just can't do it now. I bought 2 of these Syma X5-1...The reason was all the good things I heard about it. I am just a beginner, but it sure is Fun!
5:44 How do you 'adapt' to the front changing position please?
Mine isn't syncing with the drone even though I followed your instructions, what should I do?
What did you do to fix it
@@shapsugh1864 I don't remember but I crashed one and lost the second so I think it worked pretty well
One has to orient Syma x5c properly before flying. Keep the drone's camera end facing away from you. The correct orientation will ensure controls do what you tell them to.
Can an author of this VDO plz kindly direct message I'm having a lot of problems with mines
which program do i need to watch the videos on this thing, I have a mac.
You need to download Flash Player get.adobe.com/flashplayer/
My X5C did not come with a memory chip, or a chip reader for my laptop? Is this a new development?
No, you should have had both a micro SD card and also a small USB adaptor for it included in the box. It's possible it's missing as I've had them come with parts missing before including landing gear and camera.
What color was it? The different color models come with different options. Some have multiple batteries and others have even no camera.
I lost mine, it exist a way to find it like gps stuff ?
can you tell me how to fly it in lower height as my syma X5C always flow high
Hello, thanks for the video. I have one question about the copter, after I take photos and videos how do I get the videos and photos on my laptop/computer? please respond I got this for Christmas I want to see the videos
You will have an sd card behind the camera on the quadcopter pull it out and put it in a adapter to see the videos on your laptop
Yes that's correct. You should have got a little USB adapter included, put the SD card out of the camera into that and plug it into the USB port on your computer.
what about high low mode? what's difference and how do I know what I'm in
On ebay they are selling the Syma x5c with out a transmitter can you any transmitter?
You can't use any transmitter only ones that are compatible. Even the old version X5 controls will not work with the new X5C quadcopters so make sure they will bind before you but ;)
How can I identify which are the rotating and the reversing blades and it's proper location?
Two go one way and two go the other way, each of the matching motors are diagonal to each other.
I'm still a little confused on how to work the camera. You pull the button down to shoot video (how do you know if it's shooting or not?) And you pull it up to take a photo? I just got mine today.
The controller will beep and there's a green/red led on the bottom of the camera that changes accordingly
With the camera attached, you press the button next to the left throttle to start/stop video, take pics with the flip button, as flips only happen with cam detached
Travis Weir thats only the old model. New model has different button for flips amd camera operation. Mine does flips with the camera
Abram Harrison Hmm...the manual with the one I got yesterday says what I said. And the manual has the 2 on it, not the 1. It's an X5C, if you are talking about the X5C-1.
Just bought one today, tried to fly it, but it was way too windy!!! Takes good video though!!
Yeah the wind is the enemy and a pain sometimes, have fun mate :)
My Syma was working before, but when i removed the SD to view the pictures and then put it back into the copter, when i turned it on the lights were flashing and it wouldnt fly when i turned it on.
Try removing the camera and see if the fault is gone, if so it looks like a problem with the cam, also try reinserting the SD card and formatting it.
Hey buds I love your videos by far as big of syma supporter as I am but I recently. Ordered the. Three blade propellers and am having issues now with jello an was wondering you run two sided tape on your Canada as an angel mod how does that help jello thanks for the good work on the videos
Yes the main cause of the jello effect on quad cameras is an insecure camera, fixing it securely with strong double sided tape should fix this. Also be sure you props are on the right way as shown here quadcopteruk.tumblr.com/image/115223772044 and give it an easy recalibration as shown here ruclips.net/video/hhLMbq3LkrM/видео.html
Hey! I just brought one and there are two modes, i was wondering whats the difference between the two modes?
There isn't much difference between the X5C and the X5C-1. The X5C-1 does seem to handle better though.
Thanks for the response! I was actually asking about the two modes on the controller (mode 1 and mode 2) as seen on the top left of the lcd screen.
Best Edits Oh yes sorry I misread you and thought you said models instead of modes. Mode 1 is the standard quadcopter mode with the throttle on the left.
thank you :)
And mode 2 is?
Hiya mate cool video! Just wondering do you know where I can buy the remote for this thing on its own, or do you have the model number of the remote? Cheers
You can get them on ebay, search for "Transmitter Remote Controller for Syma X5C RC Quadcopter"
Thank you!
Cheers for the help, I've just ordered one and can't wait to get it in the air!
My battery is fully charged and I did everything you showed in the video.... still... the quadcopter cant sync with the transmitter............................. its horrible cant get it to work
Make sure the quad is on a level surface, first turn on the transmitter and then turn on the quad, wait a few seconds for the flashing on the quad to go steady and then push straight up and then straight down on your throttle and that should sync your remote and quad ready to fly and the lights should go steady. If that's not working then it loooks like you might have a faulty one and need to get in touch with the seller for a replacement ;)
Very detailed video! Thanks, it'll be useful when I get my X5C!
Can i ask for help how to let the drone fly at that same level and steadily at the same place
If you trimming the device well
I just ordered this. Im so exited. Tyank you for the video.
How is it :D I love mine
dontDrop_That Oh it's so much fun, i uploaded a video of me trying to fly it. Its easy to fly, but i have no experience, i can't keep a steady hover. Like im not sure hot to make it just satu in play and float.
When I turn on the transmitter it makes a long ringing noise and doesn't connect to the drone.what do i do?
Not sure what the ringing noise is. To get ready to fly put the quad on a level surface, turn on the transmitter, then turn on the quad, wait a few seconds for the flashing on the quad to go steady and push straight up and then straight down on your throttle and that should sync your remote and quad ready to fly. If it's not working then it loooks like you might have a faulty one, especially with the noise coming from the transmitter.
Thanks so much xtratalk1, for all the help you give to us beginners! Please try to do some videos on the Training aspect! Thanks!
We will do and thanks for the comment :)
So how long is the flight per charge? DO they sell higher mili amps battery for this?
The turnigy batteries are supposed to be the best. On standard batteries I get about 7-8 minutes fly time and about 90-100 minutes charge time.
If you want to fly more with fast charging time have a look to this pack goo.gl/stXHWc. All the lipos can ba charged togheter in ~ 90m with the included 5-to-1 cable.
CoseCinesi I wonder if using the adapter two or more batteries could be connected to the 'copter at the same time and attached externally? Or would they be too heavy?
David Maddison Not worth it because the additional weight should "consume" additional lipo charge, so the only result would be just to keep under stress the engines.
I am currently charging the supplied 500mah battery for my Syma X5c-2 w/the included USB charger. battery is plugged in. Red indicator light in USB crhgr is on. QUESTION: how will I know when the battery is completely charged. and I am timing it as well. thank you for your help. A> rookie.
Hi greg, the red light goes out as soon as it's ready.
xtratalk1 thank you kind sir. I failed to mention my instruction manual is written in Mandarin . been watchin your videos as well as alishanmao's as you both are articulate and easy to digest coupled w/ the piloting skills.well done & thanks
greg hawks Many thanks greg :)
xtratalk1 I have ordered some CRW generic 3.7V 680 mah 25C lipo batteries for the X5C. I haven't found any info regarding these. Got any input ?...
SuperHerefords thank you, have I have deciphered less than half thus far.Frickin' slow! thank you much.
is there a battery indicator that the battery in the quadcopyer os low?
No the actual quadcopter doesn't although it does flash on the lights underneath to indicate when the batteries are low. The remote control does have a battery indicator on the screen.
how do I put recorded footage on my laptop is my question
Just had one of these. Can't get the thing off the ground. I'm doing exactly as what you're doing but it just tilts to a side and can't really take off.
Hi Scottydog. If it doesn't go straight up when you press the throttle then it probably needs recalibrating which is very easy to do from the remote control. See this video to see how and let me know if your still stuck: ruclips.net/video/hhLMbq3LkrM/видео.html
Done that mate, followed the instructions which says to do this. Still can't get it's ass of the ground or berms over to one side. Done my head in now cause it looks pretty easy to fly from what I saw, that's why I bought it.
scottydog2871 In that case it could be that the propellers are on in the wrong place as that causes the same problem your describing, check the pic on the front of the box for guidance, if they are on in the right order and you've recalibrated it but it still is not going straight up when you push the throttle stick (with the direction stick in centre position) then there must be a fault and I'd suggest getting in touch with the seller about a replacement if you've not had it long.
Yeah, maybe you're right. Had it from China for £38.99 on eBay. Didn't come in the proper box like you had and wasn't the X5C-1 I ordered but the X5C. The propellers have A1 marked on them and I had to screw them on myself, there were four spare. It all appears to be in top condition just can't understand what's wrong. Looks like it should be easy enough cause I've watched all the vids on RUclips... that's why I bought it. Just mystified.
scottydog2871 Mate I think it could be the order you have the props on, it's really important as just like the motors two go one way and two go the other and if they are in the wrong order it won't fly correctly. Give me a sec and I will line the props up on my quad and take a pic and post the link here so you can see the correct order they should be on, hopefully that's what the problem is....
What do the other 3 silver buttons do?
Your videos have been very helpful - thanks!
had ours about a week, works great. I can't figure out how to change the time-stamp on the videos though, they all record as if they were created in October 2013
When you view your SD card look for a file called "TIME.TXT" and delete it. An alternative is you can set your own date. Create a text file called "time" so you have time.txt and put the current date and time in the following format: 2015/03/15 15:02.00 and save this and it will correct the date and time.
xtratalk1 hmmm, i don't see such a file (hidden or otherwise) on my sdcard. i might try your alternate method and check back. thanks!
You are OK deleting all the files on the SD card, all that is needed are two folders one for VIDEOS and the other for PHOTOS. If you still can't get rid of the date then method two should at least fix the date for you.
xtratalk1 it sure did. thank you so much - i really appreciate your help. enjoy what's left of your weekend
b Glad to help, have fun flying :)
Does anyone know the differences and advantages of the Syma X5C-1 vs Syma X5C?
Thanks!
The X5C-1 is the latest version and more stable than older versions. All new models are now labelled X5C even though they are the newer X5C-1 version. Have a look here for a comparison between the X5C and X5C-1: ruclips.net/video/0o6eEhyaJo0/видео.html
The flip button is the same as the camera button?
Yes it's the top right button. It's the same as the camera button on version 1.
I've lost 2 already outside what's the nack of keeping it near I'm losing hope in these ones
You want to keep it close at first until you have a good sense of direction and control of it, for new flyers it's easy to loose direction when you are high up as panic sets in, get confident flying fairly close to you first and then you'll be ready for high flies.
You might wanna look into the controller antenna modification
is the syma x5c-1 the second version, the #2?
Yes it's the Version 2.
Perfect thanks so much!
hello good day sir ,do u any information on the syma X8C ,is it out as yet anywhere to buy
I'm still on the waiting list for one :)
Ok yeah i just put my order in today hope to get an upgrade .hopefully Symantec x8 will be good
Hi just lost it in a very high tree! Do you know how much and where I can get just the quad on its own? Addicted now! Thanks john
Sorry to hear that John but if it's any consolation it happened to us too when we first got one, we got carried away and flew it really high and the wind picked up and took it out of range away from us never to be seen again. We also tried to get just the X5C quad on it's own without remote from somewhere but couldn't find anywhere selling it on it's own and only spare parts like blades, motors, motor holders etc.
When I said take your time with it at first that was because of our past experience, the good news is in the months since we haven't had any losses or fatalities so once you get to grips with it you should be OK. I know what you mean about addiction, we ordered another the same day from The UK for £20 more just to get a replacement as soon as possible lol.
Thanks for your help, makes me feel a bit better that its not just me! Was an impressive flight route!
Well that didn't take very long ...
Yep gone but not forgotten!
Seems to be an expensive business
Hi, how long battery takes to charge?
