I saw Dag play around this time (probably June '95) at Bogie's in Albany, NY. Loved this band....funny how they were bigger in France than in the USA. A decade later my own group Hip Hop Hoodíos became somewhat popular in France and I remember when our French funk backing musicians told me how much they loved Dag!
I really wish Chicago weren't such a horribly governed shit show these days. I really do miss living a few train strops from incredible venues like Metro, The Riv, Aragon, The Vic, etc. Speaking of Chicago, this band reminds me of a local act called Bumpus which spawned the short-lived solo career of Rachael Yamagata.
One of the most underrated bands ever!!! Love Dag!
