I really loved this episode. Rumble reminded me a lot of Max from Camp Camp by Rooster Teeth. And Rumble made good points about Cutie Marks as well, he's like Starlight (before she was redeemed) but not quite which is definitely interesting to see. And Thunder Lane was definitely interesting as well, I never thought that Rumble or Thunder Lane would have a main part in the series, but it's great to see. Great reaction and can't wait for more! XD.

The show has always had a high priority. I've never been close to covering Bronies React near its release, and I rarely touch hour-long recordings during school. Shouldn't be very surprising.

I believe there are some fan theories that took up this topic. One being once you get your mark, all energy from any other talents are taken away and put to that specific talent only. Can't do anything else. Also, it seems his balls dropped since season 2. ;)
I find this episode relatable on the issue. Growing up, I've had my first job outside the summer work program at the Grocery Store, most years in Front Service. But just because I had been given one thing to do in life it didn't mean I couldn't expand to other things. I still got to enjoy my favorite hobbies like performing in community theater or writing scripts for forums. And eventually, I received an actual full time job for a Pest Control company and by doing so I didn't end up in a box stuck doing one thing as Rumble claims will happen.Though on that note of Rumble... If he were more sympathetic, I'd probably understand where he's coming from but... He's not one of my favorite characters this season I'll say this much.
I get what you are saying. But then again, just because Fluttershy's cutie mark had something do with animals doesn't mean that's all she does (She did get to sing with the Ponytones, sort've). And just because Rainbow Dash's cutie mark reflects on her desire for speed, doesn't mean she doesn't hang with the girls for a spa trip. And maybe they had this whole cutie mark camp thing all long. Foals don't just have to go there to get marks, but just to have fun while trying a variety of activities like most camps do. But that's just me.
What’ll be ironic is that Rumble’s actions in influencing the other blank flanks elsewhere can likely lead to him getting a cutie mark that pertains to manipulation.
9:34 That's an interesting point but Cutie marks can be very vague, while the crusaders is self explanatory some are not. Rarity has Gemstones for a ctuie mark, that could means many things being a treasure hunter, a miner even, yet she is a dressmaker. What it means is not as important as what you do with it. Twilght's talent is magic but her job doesn't involve magic to a great degree at least prior to ascension to alicorn.
Hah ha the Soarin has been doubled...b-but in like multiple scenes... Also I do like the idea of "Camp Talent-less" or like "Camp no future"... I feel like I would fit right into that camp. Decent episode overall Thunderlane sounded kinda odd, but oh well... He isn't allowed within 1500 feet than any children after that eyebrow incident. Oh and I would love to have a cutie mark in circles... I feel like I need to design an OC with a circle cutie mark now...
EVERY time I expect him to say Ladies and Gentlecolts, and then he says gentlemen and I'm like "gaah! It happened again! Why do I keep thinking that?!?!"
Well this one feels a bit like some call-backs to previous episodes like Appaloosa’s most Wanted, Bloom and Gloom and maybe hint of Call of the Cutie… But in reverse if that makes sense.
Overall, I like this episode and find it interesting. The idea of doing one thing forever is something Silver Quill talked about. And they try to address it here. Nobody needs to do just one thing, even after their jobs, talents, and preferences have settled. And honestly, I notice that a lot of ponies have cutie marks that don't correspond to their jobs or seem that practical. I guess what I'd like to see now is an episode where some pony wants to 'change' their cutie mark. The CMC have dealt with disillusionment, but never anything that extreme. And the idea of ideas and interests changing over time is a very real issue. Also, I can't help noticing the Peter Pan aspect. What Rumble and the camp ponies end up doing is trying not to grow up. They run away from commitment. And on a more realistic note, this causes them to not do much of anything. How many people in real life are like that? Probably more than we care to admit.
8:30 "What do you do with a haiku cutie mark?" It's quite possible that Kettle's talent is just writing in general, but she doesn't realize it yet. Not all ponies know precisely what their cutie marks mean when they get them, after all.
I didn't like how Rumble was such a hypocrite, saying he doesn't want a cutie mark when he really want a specific one and so he is an asshole to the cmc's who only treat him with kindness and compassion.

Cutie Mark Day Camp was actually mentioned in 'Fame and Misfortune.' This seems to carry on from there, but it seems a bit of a plot hole. Maybe the just had the fun idea before, turned it down without thinking much, and now realize that they actually need it.

Actually, if you go by Magical Mystery Cure, cutie marks do end up limiting your options and trapping you in a box. Plus the CMC are hypocrites. In their first episode as a group, they were the ones saying how great it is to be a blank flank.
I'm not sure what to make of the circle painting thing. I guess the point is that it doesn't amount to much in any sense. As we grow up, I guess we all find those little things we like, but don't really correspond to our talents.

I find this episode relatable on the issue. Growing up, I've had my first job outside the summer work program at the Grocery Store, most years in Front Service. But just because I had been given one thing to do in life it didn't mean I couldn't expand to other things. I still got to enjoy my favorite hobbies like performing in community theater or writing scripts for forums. And eventually, I received an actual full time job for a Pest Control company and by doing so I didn't end up in a box stuck doing one thing as Rumble claims will happen.Though on that note of Rumble... If he were more sympathetic, I'd probably understand where he's coming from but... He's not one of my favorite characters this season I'll say this much.
I get what you are saying. But then again, just because Fluttershy's cutie mark had something do with animals doesn't mean that's all she does (She did get to sing with the Ponytones, sort've). And just because Rainbow Dash's cutie mark reflects on her desire for speed, doesn't mean she doesn't hang with the girls for a spa trip. And maybe they had this whole cutie mark camp thing all long. Foals don't just have to go there to get marks, but just to have fun while trying a variety of activities like most camps do. But that's just me.

Rarity has Gemstones for a ctuie mark, that could means many things being a treasure hunter, a miner even, yet she is a dressmaker. What it means is not as important as what you do with it. Twilght's talent is magic but her job doesn't involve magic to a great degree at least prior to ascension to alicorn.

Well this one feels a bit like some call-backs to previous episodes like Appaloosa’s most Wanted, Bloom and Gloom and maybe hint of Call of the Cutie… But in reverse if that makes sense.
When circle pony discovers compass
Overall, I like this episode and find it interesting. The idea of doing one thing forever is something Silver Quill talked about. And they try to address it here. Nobody needs to do just one thing, even after their jobs, talents, and preferences have settled. And honestly, I notice that a lot of ponies have cutie marks that don't correspond to their jobs or seem that practical. I guess what I'd like to see now is an episode where some pony wants to 'change' their cutie mark. The CMC have dealt with disillusionment, but never anything that extreme. And the idea of ideas and interests changing over time is a very real issue. Also, I can't help noticing the Peter Pan aspect. What Rumble and the camp ponies end up doing is trying not to grow up. They run away from commitment. And on a more realistic note, this causes them to not do much of anything. How many people in real life are like that? Probably more than we care to admit.
Rumble is being a very good Decepticon.
