- Dwayne Bravo recently termed Virat Kohli as the Cristiano Ronaldo of cricket; a comparison which Kohli himself tends to agree with. In a freewheeling chat with NDTV, the 29-year-old talks about how AB de Villiers inadvertently helped him become a better batsman on the recent tour of South Africa. Kohli also took a dig at former England captain Bob Willis, who had questioned the English cricket authorities' decision for allowing the Indian skipper to play county cricket ahead of the two-month long series between the two countries. Kohli retorted by saying that foreign players also play IPL in India to get used to sub-continental conditions.

Virat is a trained product like Cristiano Ronaldo. They both reached the top by working hard. Messi and ABD were born with their gifts.
Not true to say that CR works hard and Messi does not. Not true also to say that Messi is born with gift and CR is not.
Both of them are gifted, else they wouldn’t reach the top level, but both have different strengths. Messi’s lower center of gravity and smaller stature allow him to do certain things better. CR’s height and strength give him speed, power, aerial ability etc. Can’t really compare them because they are different.
As for physicality, athleticism, mentality and discipline, CR is at another level beyond everybody
