      Unless K stands for Kyle, or is some sort of code or nickname for one of the other characters of the show, to introduce that K character as a suspect in the Amy killing more than a month after she was killed, does not exactly suggest a quality whodunnit, but more a desperate attempt to move the storyline from one scene to the next, without people losing interest. Apart from Kyle, another possible K from Ryan`s past - since we know from last year Ryan knew more about Joel`s whereabouts than Warren did - Joel`s own father. Since Joel was in contact with Katy, maybe Ryan was the same? And maybe Katy isn`t dead after all, it was just a neat way for her to start a new life? A life Ryan had been part of, for a while - before he met Amy?

    Did Ste have a relapse that I missed? Why does he look like he's going through withdrawals? He always looks like he wants to crawl out of his own skin now.

    So Ryan has the same ring tone, oy, well maybe Amy found out about this K person which would help me justify Ryan's motive. What if the killer is someone nobody suspects, or hasn't entered the picture yet, who'll probably show up later? Aaaah... make me stop! Okay, I'm really done commenting this time. Lips zipped shut on this, or fingers zipped shut, okay that doesn't make any sense, moving on, not another comment from me until this plays out to keep my sanity in check, hollyoaks! Geez! The suspense smh... rest in peace Ames.

      I wouldn`t have killed a mother of two not related to the matter at all, that is for sure! Besides, James only has himself to blame. Not only did he pay Harry, Ste`s boyfriend, £10 000 for a night of sex - only to extort him afterwards, giving Ste little reason to pay him much thought or concideration when the oppurtunity to bed JP arise. But it wasn`t Ste who was so hopeless with JP`s son Matthew, JP had to talk to him - twice. James being so hopeless with Matthew would have ended that relationship sooner, rather than later, anyway. So in many ways Ste bedding JP was a blessing in disguise.

      They have lost their wife and mother. A change of enviroment will do them all a world of good, since staying at home will just remind them of the one who isn`t there anymore.

  • @Room142
    @Room142 7 лет назад +6

    omg now i know why they did that ridiculous McHay plot! So James would have a reason to hold a grudge against Ste in the trial. Well it must be one of the reasons, because Ste & JP again made no sense.

    • @Dolphininvisible
      @Dolphininvisible 7 лет назад

      Ste & JP I would claim make more sense than for Darcy to be so keen to get together with Adam, she sabotages Adam and Maxine`s plans and relationship to the best of her ability - despite not having made any attempt to get in contact with Adam for 5 years. Why he should even have hesitated a second before choosing Maxine is an absolute mystery to me, all the time he later had learned Darcy only not only had slept with his kidbrother, Jesse, she also was involved in a drug deal with his second younger brother. This being the guy who broke up with Maxine cause he suspected she could somehow have been involved in Patrick`s death, it makes absolutely no sense he even would concider getting involved with a drug dealer and cheat - and one that let him think she had been dead for 5 years, at that. What is even harder to believe, is that despite attempt after attempt by Darcy to sabotage, Adam is too stupid to realize what is going on. Those brothers of Grace Black`s. They only have half a brain between them - and seems to forget where it is located most of the time.
      In regard to James, I hope he is intended for a more heroic role this time. Should he manage to get Ste free, and the real killer behind bars, that would redeem the character in the eyes of many of the viewers for the, let`s say, less fortunate storylines and displays of character he has had in the past. The actor is great, and really pulls of the mannerisms and attitude of a top lawyer - but the storylines... Oh, dear! They make James come accross as an absolute moron. Not able to even get Bart out of jail for a petty theft without playing russian roulette with his job and career, by getting Myra to change her statement and lie. If that wasn`t bad enough, last year he solicited the son of his client for sex - only to extort him about it afterwards. Another type of conduct not exactly encouraged by the British Law Society. As a lawyer the guy is a walking disaster, not able to achieve the tinyest of tasks without first breaking the law and/or ethical guidelines, and consequently gambling both his job and career in near every case.
      But I have great hope we will get a different James this time, than some kindergarten type of revenge for Ste sleeping with JP storyline, that not only would be predictable, but as likely as a talking pig. Lawyers don`t risk their name and reputation - not to mention the danger of not being entrusted cases in the future - by sabotaging their own clients in court. That would be career suicide. Particularly in a high profile case, as the case against Ste seems to be, judging by the fact it has been on the front page twice the last week, despite not even haven begun in full yet.
      Should James succeed in such a high profile case, by getting Ste set free, that would increase his reputation, his chances of being offered partnership and more. Should he fail to achieve the same, but other lawyers felt he would have, had he done a better job - he would either not be offered cases at all - or those he would have been offered would have been minor in improtance. Cause the firm he worked for would not trust him with anything important for a long time. His reputation would have been tainted, and since all the cases he would have gotten had been of lesser importance, he would never had a chance to win back his former standing either. Cause no one would risk place him in charge of a case with a higher profile.
      Consequently a real life James would have done his outmost to get Ste out of jail - and the quicker the better. Because of the way D.S. Armstrong conducted the interview where Ste confessed, and Ste`s confession - plus a motive - was the only evidence the police had against Ste, a real life James wouldn`t have waited, but attacked the circumstances the interview had been conducted, the fact Armstrong had denied St both to speak to James alone, and to have a break, eventhough it would be clear to anyone listening to the tape of the interview Ste`s state of mind made him imcapable of rational decissions. Despite James making several attempts to obtain contact, Ste didn`t even acknowledge James was in the room. Consequently Ste was without legal representation when he was interviewed by Armstrong, or in a state of mind where he didn`t understand he needed and was offered the posibility of legal representation. Either way both the confession and the interview could be called into question.
      By rushing the court to have the confession and interview thrown out as evidence, James could have achieved not only to have Ste free untill an eventual trial - he could also have prevented the trial from going ahead, if the prosecution only had motive to offer as evidence, after the confession and interview had been thrown out for having been obtained in mannor violating Ste`s rights. What is even better. Should D.S. Armstrong have been the killer of Amy, and he in Ste`s interview - where he provided more information about the crime scene than what the police normally would; because of the need to make sure false confessions are not taken for true ones, police hold back certain key information only the actual killer could know about. If Armstrong, when he interviewed Ste, had revealed some pieces of information known to him as the killer, but which SOCO and their examinations hadn`t discovered at the point of Ste`s interview, James could - by playing the interview tape/s in open court - expose Armstrong as the killer in pure Perry Mason style.
      And the fact Armstrong behaved as he did in that interview, and tricked Ste to confess - despite he had no recollection of what happened that night - by feeding Ste details of how Amy died, suggest there could be more to that interview, than just Ste`s confession which could be of interest. I believe I even know what. When Armstrong interviewed Ste, he mentioned a partial bloody footprint he claimed was found on the scene, proving Ste - because Ste had identified a shoebox found in his flat to have been for his, now missing, trainers - had been there after Amy had been killed. But when James later arrived to act as Ste`s legal representative, he told Armstrong it was too soon to arrest Ste, since the forensic results weren`t even in yet. But if the forensic results were not in, how could Armstrong have known about the bloody partial footprint which matched the sole of Ste`s trainer - unless, off course, he killed Amy and planted the footprint there, after having stolen Ste`s shoes? We know - from the stalking of Leela - he can go in and out of that flat as it pleases him.
