  • Solving a system of linear equations through LU DECOMPOSITION OF THE MATRIX
    1. LU Decomposition Method is a quick, easy way to solve linear equations
    2. It's credible because it's been around since 1847 and has proven useful in many different fields such as aviation, astronomy, and chemistry
LU Decomposition is a quick, easy way to solve linear equations.
This video will show you how to use the LU decomposition method to find solutions of a system of linear equations.
The LU decomposition method is a great way to solve systems of linear equations. It is fast and easy to use, and it always produces a unique solution. In this video, we will show you how to use the LU decomposition method to solve a system of linear equations.
First, we will create a matrix that represents our system of linear equations. This matrix has three rows and three columns. The first row contains the coefficients of the linear equation, the second row contains the constant terms, and the third row contains the right-hand side values of the equation.
Next, we will use the LU decomposition method to solve the system of linear equations. We will start by finding the L matrix. The L matrix is a matrix that has the same number of rows as the original matrix, and it contains the left-hand side values of the equation. We can find the L matrix by solving the first row of the original matrix for x.
Next, we will find the U matrix. The U matrix is a matrix that has the same number of columns as the original matrix, and it contains the right-hand side values of the equation. We can find the U matrix by solving the second row of the original matrix for y.
Finally, we will solve for x and y by using the LU decomposition method. We will start by solving for x in the L matrix. This will give us our first solution to the system of linear equations. We can then solve for y in the U matrix to get our second solution.
The LU decomposition method is a great way to solve systems of linear equations. It is fast and easy to use, and it always produces a unique solution. In this video, we showed you how to use the LU decomposition method to solve a system of linear equations. Thanks for watching!

If we dont need to exchange rows we can perform Gaussian elimination to get U matrix
and we record multipliers in L matrix
If we need to exchange rows then
In ith iteration we look for element with maximum absolute value in the ith column on diagonal and below diagonal
if this element is equal zero we stop
    otherwise we swap the rows
We perform Gaussian elimination on i+1..n,i+1..n submatrix
with multipliers is stored in ith column
