      Since legs pump blood when they are being used (by squeezing the femoral artery, etc), I thought continuing to move one's legs after running a rep would be less stressful to one's heart than squatting. This is pretty obvious when going up mountains: stop to rest and I start blacking out.

    She's very meticulous and her dedication paid off because she's going to the Olympics after slaying the 200m at the Olympic trials. Great job Coach BB.

    I just wanted to give Coach Buford-Bailey and her team their flowers. Gabby hit the jackpot and seized the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Congratulations, job well done!

    Buford Bailey was a great 400m runner back in the day. She's done so good with Gabby.

    Their practice times in the 220m were my fastest times (in spikes) in the 200m when I ran track in the 80's. I would've been exhausted the first rep. Lol!! Awesome! Great job ladies! 🙌🧡

    It was nice to see how they train. Makes me want to train just for the work out and for fun lol
    Update: BTW I’m already an athlete! And when I say train for “FUN”. Simply means i’m not doing it professionally, just to stay in shape etc! I’ll just leave this here cuz the comment section trippin🤦🏾‍♀️

    PB after PB, her trials performance was still surprising but not out of nowhere; she made a great decision training with that coach and it seems like she is only going to get better ....because shes so intellectual you can tell she absorbs everything from the training very quickly

    Love how Coach Bailey has them running 220m in what appears to be sub 26 for the four flytes. That extra 20m seems insignificant, but 25 second 2's are a very common training staple. That extra distance with essentially the same times provides that added push for the last 20 meters of a standard 200m race. Very solid training logic, coupled with the strength she gained from her early season 400m training. Considering how well GT improved this year, I'd say it has paid off beautifully! And big ups to ATX!

    Ever since high school, I always thought that runners were just athletes on another level. Physically and intellectually. Just smarter than the average person.

    These 2 sisters got me and others running every day. Imma runner too. Thank u American queens. Yaw got me putting my running shoes on to run again. Its so addictive. AYEEEEEEEE. Thanks again. Your coach carrying dem hurdles should hire a man to do that. Hahahahahaha.

    Gabby is a mutant her power is she can run at high speed without getting tired like normal humans. Gabby does not feel lactic acid in her muscles and thats why she is building speed when others are slowing down.

      She probably does timed repeat up and down hills drills. Builds mad stamina and turnover. Her frame is similar to an 800m runner; ultra fast twitch muscles, massive stride length, light bones, hella guts and a scientific approach. Bring your A+++ game when you line up with her.

      Maybe it just wasn’t that fast of a pace for her, which means her running potential is greater. That would explain her running 21.61.

    Gabby T. is a very cute young lady and she could play WonderWoman! Her running partner has a great form and built and has a very beautiful rich skin complexion.
    Her body is perfect. Those two cute smart ladies. I will be doing all Gabby's and her friend's workouts. I love to cross-train. Take care ladies.

      I read recently that Michael Phelps' body only produces half the amount of lactic acid as the average person which obviously benefited him as an athlete. I'm wondering if Gabby is the same.

    Gabby Thomas, second fastest 200m woman of all time but didn't get the credit she deserves because she not roughneck on camera or failed drug test. Alyson Felix left Nike to do her own thing and we have our own wanting to boycott because Richardson tested positive. Crazy!

      Well she forgot 3 drugs tests last year that would have seen her banned if one wasn't rescinded by the anti-doping ppl. She needs to do a better job of staying on top of what is part and parcel of being an elite athlete!
