Well the Persian king wants his basterma ''arants hodi'', (no smell), Vartan Bastermamigonian refuses, then the Persian king tells him were all fucked now because of the basterma, then its the war because of basterma.

The dialect they speak in armenian is western armenian, armenians who grew up in mainly Syria and Lebanon and a lot of them grew up watching turkish tv as well as having grandparents or parents who may have been turkish too, hence why they like to swap in-between tongues, especially for punch lines and jokes. Lots of them can all speak arabic, armenian and turkish. My own mother can read write and speak all 3 plus english and she's from Aleppo
