I loved this, thank you! I have had 6 lessons in the UK but due to weather and covid the lessons have been 4 months apart so I am glad to refresh my memory with your clear briefings. Stay safe.

Thanks for the feedback Amanda! We had 3 months of lockdown here in Melbourne last year where students had to put their flying on hold, so we definitely understand your frustration. We hope you get to take to the skies again very soon, and all the best to all of you over in the UK.

    One question
Why does nose up aftee the power increased?

With straight and level all four forces are not in equilibrium, there is the tail down force which gives you equilibrium. Look at the moments created between lift and weight and thrust and drag, they differ and the tail down force equals that out.

Why does the power and altitude keep changing so much. I’ve been training for a while but just can’t seem to manage level. Long flights are not so bad, but on a shorter downwind there’s little time for correction.
I do all the above. Thanks

Please let me know how you got better at this. I have just started doing traffic circuits, and im struggling with the same thing… im flying like a rollercoaster.
(And when i finally manage to get back to standard altitude, my heading is off, or i should have already started my base turn.)

For the four finger measurement, does your seat height make a difference?
