I absolutely love that Jeff teared up making the emotional connection between his character's bond with his father in Independence Day and the real-life bond he now treasures with his kids. What a nice surprise!
That moment between Jeff and Judd Hirsch in Independence Day is one of my favourite moments, a parent telling their child their proud of them is a powerful moment in the movie.
He's SUCH a sweetheart. Truly vulnerable and emotive human being with a beautifully unique vocal cadence. Could listen for hours, thank you Vanity Fair!
I loved how sincerely emotional Jeff Goldblum gets. That dude's the real deal. I'm also amazed that Ariana Grande saw The Pillowman at age ELEVEN. If you've seen that show, that's nuts. (I played Goldblum's role Tupolski in a community theatre production about 10 years back, and that show is INTENSE.)
@@jool4867 Don't ever let anyone shape the way you feel about yourself because they don't know you, only you know you, and if you let everyone's opinions linger in your mind eventually you'll believe them yourself
The tears out of Jeff's eyes really shows that Independence Day is not just a movie about an alien invasion. It is a very human experience, to leave the people you love, to a battle for survival against all odds. The emotions are justified.
One of the most heart felt actors that ever lived. His tears and compassion for his characters show how deep the emotional journey is off and on screen. Jeff we love you so much ❤❤❤
I first saw Jeff in that movie, “Transylvania 6-5000” and then “The Fly” as a kid. I really enjoyed his career and glad it’s still going strong. Thank you for entertaining us fans for years. 👏I carry a lot of 80’s 90’s nostalgia in my creativity. I grew up a big John Hughes fan. RIP 🙏 Mr. Hughes
Genuinely one of the best human beings... I love how unashamedly emotional he is. He's such a fun, interesting, and intelligent person. There's only one Jeff Goldblum.
0:31 - a JVC Video Cassette Recorder (VCR) 0:32 - a Toshiba remote 😁 As Mr Goldblum would say “Details, baby” It’s always a treat to watch you Mr Goldblum! Watching you is making me very emotional Jeff 😢
I saw Jeff playing keyboards with Depeche Mode in 1994. He’s an absolute BEAST of the Arts, across so many disciplines. And pretty easy on the eyes as well! ✌🏼😍
"Real power lies in a persons ability to tell the truth, be honest, be authentic, know themselves, connect with themselves and others, and to lift others up and to leave others better than they found them. That's a real powerful person."
Jeff is a funny acting genius and a big emotional baby and probably one of the nicest guys ever in hollywood or even on earth. I'm sure he's a great dad too. Just tons of iconic roles. He's never boring, in a movie or outside it
His role was pretty big in my opinion, he's one of the main characters in my opinion and his relationship with Goldblum is the heart of the film for me personally.
He’s a wonderful guy. When I met him, though, I asked him about “Deep Cover” (w/ Laurence Fishburne”) and he lit up. Perhaps he can do a second video in which he talks about that and films like “Earth Girls Are Easy.”
The way Jeff reacted to Independence Day is really how audiences saw the movie in 1996 you just get sucked up in the moments, no matter how cheesy the film is, there was truth in the moment. It really is a well directed film by Roland Emmerich.
When I was a little girl, I happened to see Into the Night, one Sunday afternoon, and instantly liked him... and have watched just about anything he's been in.
I wouldn't of expected Jeff Goldblum to get so emotional watching that scene in Independence Day where he says goodbye to his fictional dad for potentially the last time.
Wow, thank YOU so, so MUCH for doing this Mr. Goldblum!!! Had me tearing up so MUCH!!! Could've watched this all day...🤩🤩🤩!!! Can not WAIT to see you in Wicked...💚🖤🩷!!!
Ah yes yes yes. The wonderful Jeff Goldblum. He is one of the uh most spectacular actors in our lifetime. Transcends time and space with his uh talent. Well there it is.
I wish he'd talk about Mr Frost, Earth Girls are easy, etc. The movies people dont ask about all the time. Edit: oh wow. He really cried. I didn't expect that. Made me choke up for him for a second.

David was my favorite character in Independence Day. And to see Jeff cry like that makes me think that’s maybe the first time he saw that scene? Because most actors don’t watch their own movies lol
I don't know what Nicolas Cage spent all that time looking for, because Jeff Goldblum is the real National Treasure. And, true story, I saw Jeff at the Lost World premiere in Hollywood, and then years later ran into him (almost literally) in Shubert Alley at NYC.
Aw Jeff! So sweet that he would cry at Independence Day, what a beautiful human this dude is

He looks younger in Independence Day than he did in Jurassic Park.
And him crying 🥺
No beard in ID4.
It was just a couple of years apart, and hair and makeup can very easily make a person look years older or younger.

The fact that he even knows and acknowledges the makeup people too
He cares so much about his job and the people around him
His emotions when watching Independence Day is so raw and beautiful. Men, it's ok to cry, don't be afraid to let it all out when necessary.
i only cry after a few glasses of wine and to ridiculous things, lol

Jeff is emotional when it comes to watching memorable scenes for his career like ID4 or Wicked. Overall, he has been a kind soul to us all.
Wasn't allowed to watch The Fly when I was little. Snuck and watched. Had nightmares for weeks. Fell in love with Jeff Goldblum!
