i lived in Colombia for a min from Santa Cruz cali and do Thay ever go through the fight for peace time? also more land mines there then Bosnia when i was in Colombia it was a party and sex and war over
I hope in the near future Nicholas and his writing team find it easier to create a more comprehensive scheduling plan for future videos, then again a series is so much longer than a movie and thus would take more research time. In any case good luck to everyone involved.

I found these guys more interesting than Pablo. They were just as ruthless and blood thirsty as Escobar's squad but were smarter and were able to set their egos to the side to make more money
But escabar was more then a ruthless gangster he cared some what about the poor of his country and was in a very strange way a idealist these guys. Are just selfish
Pablo was the reason these four got so powerful.everyone,meaning 2 governments,los Pepe's,and countless rivals were picking on Pablo these guys had a free pass for awhile
They definitely weren’t smarter. They were naive in thinking just “corrupting” the government would stop there extradition Pablo & the other Medellin kingpins knew the second they give themselve up to a legit prison they were done/gonna get extradited sooner rather then later Sooo they fought to the death. The Rodriguez brothers barely lasted a year when the DEA/Search bloc we’re after them Pablo lasted years & years. If he didn’t kill Moncada & Galeano then he could have easily lived for at least another 5 years (imo)
You know for as much as the show gets wrong, and there’s plenty of that, they did an incredible job with the casting. When looking at how close the resemblance is from some of the actors to who they are playing, it’s just incredible. For me especially seeing Pêpê Razapote in the show to actual footage of Chepe, they might as well be twins
I feel like going over the innacuracies of that show is more of the job of a nuclear physicist than a historian, the show itself points out the historical changes it made like character substitutions. Thunderfoot might've done a video on it, I know he talked about it, how they play up the disaster basically 10xing all the danger for drama.
@@Fieryxjoe Dude there's plenty of historical changes he can go over. And considering how much stuff he researchs for all his other videos, pretty confident he can get the job done.

@Otoskire I disagree, his story had no relevance to the plot and should not have been included at all. It could have easily been it's own thing. A Neo-noir movie about a disillusioned cynical corrupt cop trying to actually solve one murder and do the right thing for once in the back drop Juarez's cartel war could have been an awesome movie but in Narcos it was just filler that dragged the main plot out. And really that was the issue with the whole series it dragged things out instead getting to the point. Season 2 could have focused on Amados rise to power instead of dragging Felix's story out. Also the series was set in mid 80s to early 90s, Mexican narcos weren't as powerful/ influential back then, nor was Mexico really that dangerous until the really late 90s/early 2000s. I get that the series was coming off the hype of the original Narcos but Mexico really wasn't like that 30 years ago
Hands down one my favorite channels and I recommend to all my friends and family. Even got me to watch Death of Stalin which been one my favorite movies last few years

I live in a country where everything seen in Narcos is happening again, including people in the government conspiring with the narcs. Its amazing to me how the history is there for everyone to see but people choose to ignore it.
The Iron Claw would be a terrific movie to do a History Buffs episode on. A tremendous movie with some great performances, that does take a lot of creative liberties with the story. Besides the omission of the youngest brother Chris from the movie entirely.
Can't wait for the coming show about Narcos Mexico. I am sure there will be a lot more to be covered and it is much closer to US because it is still ongoing up to this day.
No, it really happened in real life but only was it even more bloodier/barbaric. In real life the man was called Claudio Endo (instead of Salazar) and he was a minor drug trafficker associated with the Cali cartel but eventually he killed a guerilla soldier who was actually a very close friend of Pacho and with the permission of the other Cali godfathers (Chepe, the Rodriguez brothers), Pacho killed Claudio. The method that was shown in the series of how he was killed was true.
My personal suggestion for a potential topic would be the movie Ford V Ferrari (Le Mans 66 in Europe I believe) as covering motorsports related historical movies would be unique and interesting especially considering the relatively high mortality rate of racing in the 20s-70s
I know this video came out a month ago, and I also know that the narcos series is probably going to take up a lot of your time until it's complete. However in the off chance you see this and read it, I would love it if you made a video on The Beast (1988). Would absolutely be a dream come true
37:57 you can see the camera car at the bottom of the screen before it cuts away i imagine they left it in because re-doing the stunt would have been more hassle.
In Mexican film, I used to always see family or a friend's family watching many of these drug lord movies. There were also novelas inspired by these events. None of them managed to interest me in the slightest because the acting was either cheesy or the production felt like it was someone's backyard film project. When Narcos came to Netflix, I was immediately pulled in and could not stop watching. Despite not being well versed in the historical events, I couldn't help but empathize with how several of the characters reacted. With the History Buffs series, it was very interesting to learn how much some of my favorite events in the shows were dramatized. I'm looking forward to Narcos: Mexico if that's in the works.
I really hope you cover the Narcos Mexico series. There are so much things to check and also fact check. Mlst of the things that actually happened were actually "nerfed" on the series

I loved the Narcos series. Was so good. Then they started doing side ones and are listed seperately so I have no idea if I missed any.
Showed up for Pedro Pascal, stayed for the story.
Definitely recommend Narcos Mexico seasons 1 & 2.
