- I don’t know who this video is for really. It’s for me , I guess. I love my home town for all its shortcomings, even if living here makes it harder for me to thrive as an artist. Maybe that will resonate with someone. I’m not sure.

If your from Swansea like me Twin Town is a must see. I knew one of the writers. Got my own RUclips video of the area coming out soon.
Great vid btw
Never been to Swansea but i have been to Northern Wales. My impression of Wales is that it is very haunted.
thank you for sharing, more love is needed for this city
Uppa Swansea
really love the narrative style of video my shib, no quip just straight admiration
I know I’ve made a good video when it compels you not to quip
do you intend on moving out of Swansea? It's only natural that you'd want better for yourself as someone working in the creative arts.
The internet is a powerful tool. I can be everywhere all at once. Sure, I’d have more musical opportunities living somewhere like London. There’s more venues to play, more like-minded people, more potential collaborators, etc. But then I wouldn’t have easy access to a woodland area or a beach or just generally anywhere quiet to film my videos. I wouldn’t be able to record my music in my car if it’s parked on a busy street in a city with lots of noise pollution. I like being able to park my car somewhere isolated and record in places where I’m surrounded by nature.
So, to answer the question, no. I love Swansea for all its shortcomings. I don’t think it’s worth moving to a proper city, away from cows and cycle paths and coastlines, for a better chance at making it as a musician because I know it would make me miserable. With social media becoming an increasingly valuable tool to grow a brand as an artist, I think weirdos in the woods with a guitar like me have a better chance than ever.
Thanks for watching, and thanks for the question!

@@Shibbler I like that answer. It seems that the rural and calmer aspects of Swansea have helped your song writing flourish, and it's not surprising considering that spending lots of time in nature is scientifically proven to rejuvenate your mental health. I'm not sure if this is an accurate comparison, but you remind me of George Harrison, and how he'd write songs in his garden, or Eric Clapton's garden for that matter.
Wow, that’s high praise. Thank you! There’s a clip of George Harrison that really resonates with me, I’ve seen it pop up many times. I couldn’t find it when I just tried to look for it but in the clip he says something along the lines of “When I’m in my garden it all makes sense, but as soon as I get past the gate I don’t know what the hell is going on”. I think the essence of that vaguely relates to my overall opinion on urban areas.
