I have been planning my 6.5 creedmoor bolt gun, I have been looking at the solus. This video just cemented my decision. Thanks for posting. Stay loaded.
Love the series, as a new distance shooter I am looking to dip my toes into a bolt gun and would be really interested to see for the price how the solus compares to other offerings like the delta 5 pro, or or Seekins Havak hit/hit pro.
Thanks, Blake. Just picked up a Solus action after watching this series. Still in the break in period, but the RAD method of load development has been nothing short of outstanding. No load development using "break in" components yielded 1/2 inch groups and a 50 round SD of 8.8. Thanks again.
@Reloadingallday - GREAT Video - Enjoying this series very much. We know that the RAD load development system works. I am so glad I took the class with you. I am so glad I found you and the RAD system. Its still early yet for my own personal testing but I know that everything you teach in the class is 110%. 7 SD over 90+ shots is incredible. 90 shots in the time you shot them, is something I dont think any shooter would ever do, but even at that with al those shots still shooting under 2" MOA speak volumes - and a .56 MOA average under extreme circumstances says it ALL. Thanks again for all you DO. And to the skeptics (like I was) Blake is a GREAT guy and a GREAT Teacher. If you havnt taken the RAD course, I would spend the MONEY and take it. It changed my reloading methods and the way I do load development. I have been reloading FOR 20+ YEARS and I LEARNED ALOT. THANK YOO again, Blake
I really want the Solus barreled action in 308 as my first bolt action. I just purchased a Woox Furiosa Ultra on black Friday. The American Rifle Co Coup de Grace is also calling my name as an option, albeit an expensive option.
Excellent series!! Ive enjoyed it start to finish! Youve done an excellent job of keeping your testing objective and providing a solid amount of data to show how you reach your conclusions
Yea I got the DD right before my unit got mobilized, so I haven't even shot it yet! Been almost a year now, can't wait. I love how they used a barrel extension for "quick" change barrel set ups. DD's are usually very accurate so I can't wait to see.@@Reloadingallday
Great video! I’m knew to your content and am very intrigued by the reloading methods you teach and the theories behind them. As the holiday season gets behind us I’ll try to hit you up for a class. I have new ELR set up that I’d like to get dialed in. Thanks again!
Blake, thanks for contributing to the community. I too would like to see a comparison between the Solus and the Havak Hit. Maybe even the DD Delta 5 pro although the bolt slop really turns me off.
Very good video thank you for taking the time to post it. Weird request but since you asked. I would like to see a video of the magpul bipod compared to a very good bipod like an Accutac and the difference at long range but if you can’t make one no problem just figured I’d ask. Thanks
@@Reloadingallday is it worth it to invest in pricey bipods or are is accuracy the same with cheap bipods? I have a magpul but when I shoot a mile I think magpul doesn’t cut it I shoot better on a bench rest vise. I know what the answer would be but a real world test would be fun to watch.
Great video series. Regarding the weights for the Solus chassis - I've read the MDT ones can be problematic because they end up hanging down too far and interfering with other arca accessories. I made my own with simple tools just using brass bar stock off Amazon. Cut to length, drill a couple holes for m-lok nuts and done.
No contest the Solus. Precision built to consistent tolerances so you can use prefit barrels, integral lug and rail, great bolt stop, interchangeable bolt heads so you can use multiple cartridge head sizes, double ejectors and tool free bolt stripping. Also 3 lug 60 degree bolt throw for more scope clearance so I guess other than that no difference. 😮😊
I built 20+ Remington 700 actions. From George @GA precision. This is definitely an upgrade. Can't believe the money I spent. Who knew today it would be a lot cheaper to get the same accuracy
Hello dude, at firist, good job, i like your videos, and, just countinue! I have question for you... Is it posible to buy separate rifle stock with folding adapter and upgrade him on that chassis, or not, or AP have some chassis with folding solution ? I cant find answer, and i am very interested about AeroPrecision Solus cometition 15" chassis... Thank you, best regards!
I’ve heard that Aero will be coming out with a folder, but it hasn’t happened yet. That said, MDT makes one. It appears that they might be the same size and shape, but I do not know that for 100% certainty yet.
I have a defiance action in a 17” solus chassis and seem to have a lot of flex when getting on the gun. Was wondering if you have any issue with flexing of the chassis on your setup?
Solus has integral lug and rail, dual ejectors and 3 lug 60 degree bolt throw. The new Coup de Grace adds the adjustable trigger hanger. All same price. I chose the Aero because it takes both shouldered Origin prefits AND barrel nuts Savage prefits. Screw the hassle of shipping your action to a gunsmith, waiting 6 months to get it back and paying $900+. Order an in stock prefit online, have it in a week and spend 5 minutes in the shop screwing it on. And don’t tell me how much better a gunsmith fitting would be. That completely depends on his skill level and attitude the day he spins it up. So you don’t know what you’re going to get. Gunsmiths are going obsolete at warp speed

Appreciate the investment for all of us!

Thank you so much, Mike! It was a pleasure working with you.
Awesome video , as an Solus 308 owner. You hit the nail on the head with this one
Thank you!
As a new Solus owner this is fascinating to me!! Thank you
Glad you liked it!

Incredible series, thank you for the data. I got a DD Delta 5 Pro a while ago and might get one of these to compare against it.
That would be awesome!

My dad is building up a custom 22 Creedmoor on a Solus action and Kreiger barrel. Great video!
That’s going to be sweet!
Awesome review much appreciated

If I i can find one for a good price or if you know anyone that would loan one, I’d love to do one.
Nice work my man !
Just got a Solus Action. Interested in seeing the ejector removal
Good job Blake.
Thank you!
Another strong video.
Thank you!

@@ThinkSoberly not a problem! Anything you’re specifically looking for in a test like that?

Good stuff bud! I can say that the loading method you teach works great! Also looking forward to trying that action for a 8.6 BLK. 👍
Hey! Thank you. Excited to see your results with the 8.6.
Great work. Looking to get my first bolt action. One for prs and one for hunting. Looking at this as prs and tikka CTR for hunting.
Thank you!
Thanks for the info! I've learned alot from your videos. I'm real curious about your load development.
Thanks Travis! Hopefully will see you in class!

Thanks!
Fantastic series so far!
Great video as I consider a new rifle
Thank you!
Great video 🤘
Thanks, Nick!
great vid, subscription earned!
Thank you!
Great video series, keep them coming. What's the best over the counter ammo you found the solus likes?
I will have to do a test on it!
Awesome Vid! how are you liking the Match Pro ED? would there be a dedicated vid for it?
Yes! I plan on it. Liking it so far
What do you think of the Solus action? I’m considering upgrading from a stock Rem 700 action. Worth it?
Yeah, I would say it’s an upgrade to a stock Remington 700 action.

Just ordered my Solus and am planning to mount the Arken EP-5, which scope ring height do you recommend

If annoys me when brass doesn’t fully fireform.
Did I miss the type and powder load?

I like the solus but I like my origin better, maybe in time that’ll change
