Just found the channel and have been watching all the 350 videos. I want to say that I seriously appreciate that you show us your cars and bring the viewer along for the ride without being super fake and over hyped like a ton of vloggers. Some of us don't need or want to be treated like kindergartners while we watch a car channel so it's really refreshing to find that. Keep up the content and you'll be up in the hundreds of thousands of subs in no time.
For those who are curious about the fender temperature: From the Eastwood Fender Roller manual: 7. Use a heat gun to gently warm the paint to about 120°F in the area to be rolled (to prevent cracking). I also read that an infrared (IR) thermometer can/should be used to measure the temperature. Good luck!
I absolutely love the way your 350z is coming out, and am totally inspired by your passion of making videos! I have started a RUclips channel of my own! Keep up the good work man!
Its always good to watch people do things the right way after I just did it the wrong way. I just went to town with a 28oz framing hammer and rolled it out almost two inches to fit some tiny 14s. It looks pretty good! I cant believe those tires fit now. Look at you guys all professional... This car normally has 12" wheels so I dont know if your tool would even fit in that tiny wheel well lol. I also cut that lip a bit so it would bend back easier. Unfortunately I do have paint flakage but it just matches the rest of the bad paint now. I doubt you could roll it that far without paint flakage.
thats crazy im back to watching your videos... i watched this when it came out 5 years ago when i was still 13-14 writing up lists of car parts for the car i "was planning on buying in 3 years" which none of that happened but your videos still inspired me and got me really deep into cars and i actually bought a 300zx not a 350z like you made me want but i love my Z and i remember lots from your videos on this build specifically and man can i say i love you and your channel! i was just looking up how to roll the fenders on my car and this popped up and i was like nooooo way im finally in deep enough to where this video is helpful and not just a 13 year-old watching with dreams to be able to do this stuff LOL
Revisiting this video because I’m about to put some wide boiz on the 300zx I submitted for review a while back. Thanks for sharing your experience and knowledge with us, Cameron! Congratulations on the play button!
OMG cameron, I just rolled the fenders on my car but I used a baseball bat and a tellaphone book. I wish I would have seen this video befor I did that because not I have to use fenders flares.
How much do they charge people who do fender rolling? I live in California I berly installed 18inch wheels on my IS 300 and my front wheels are hitting my fenders
how much does he charge? I live in Mesa Arizona I was thinking of buying the tool its like $60 online.. I'm mainly worried about the rear wheels I'm not sure why it rubbing , They are aftermarket wheels but they're only 18s the car seems to be sitting lower in the rear now could be because I carry some tools but still shouldn't sag that much maybe I should beef up the rear suspension.. I've carried for 500 pounds worth of stuff in the trunk before it would sit low but not like this maybe warn spring... Car is a Mazda six
New to the car scene. What size wheels and all those number should i get. My car is stock not lowered or anything. I just wanna buy some nice rays that will fit real nice on my Z
@@JAKWEES an do you know what the off set should be on range of? I don't have too much knowledge on the mechanics of cars neither and also just got my hands on my own 250z!! trying to find out the do's an donts in general for the 350z
I'm sure you won't listen, you'll have to wait and see yourself, but a nice set of aftermarket wheels with more aggressive offsets is NOT going to look nice if you're not lowered first. And saying "go 19x9.5" means nothing without offsets, offset determines how much your wheels will poke out from your hub (and ultimately fender). Lowering is by far the best bang for your buck upgrade, do it first. If you insist on not lowering though make sure to search for your pics of your car with aftermarket wheels on OEM suspension that you like and use those specs as a guide, if you follow someone's specs who is lowered it will look ridiculous on stock height, you need a meatier tire to help fill the gap, so 35-40 profile on a 19.
Go on some forums/galleries (I like Fitment Industries) and see what other people are running. There are literally hundreds of options, especially if you haven't modded your suspension in any way.
You’d have to get tuned and have the tuner turn it off, I’d suggest saving for motordyne art pipes, they make the most power and the bunges for the o2 sensors are far enough so you won’t get a check engine
If you have larger wheels then your stock ones it can hit ur fenders destroying the tires and fenders. Now if you have a slammed set up which is when u lower your vehicle on coilovers, springs, bags etc if you have wide wheels or even run stock in general it could hit ur fenders ruining wheels which is why people fender roll their fenders to open up more space allowing cars to get more lower or to prevent fender damages when driving on bumpy roads. But get a professional to do these things because one mistake can lead to paint cracks
Thanks for taking the time to make this, but I can you get a cameraman without parkinson's or use a tripod for the close up detail shots? I was getting a headache right off the bat trying to see the damage to the tire.

Don't forget to clean out inside of the lip with a rag! Dirt and other shit gets stuck up there and can mess up your clean roll.
He's really good at it
The wheels still looking good
Never seen your channel before and you completely changed my misconception of you...
Stand-up kinda guy. 🤙🏼

Do this work with mental fenders or just polyester?
will this work on fiberglass fenders? I'm afraid to try it
The Wedge just trim and sand fiberglass man.
If your fenders need to rolled but aren’t would that cause like a clicking and clunking type noise ?
Yeah, you'll be able to hear your tires hitting the fender almost every time you have to turn

The offset of the wheels is most important

Dude they are all over Amazon. Just look for fender lip roller. There are a shit load of decent knock offs.
I know this guy. Yummmaaa
What if I don’t care about my paint (it’s chipping BAD) do I still need heat?
How do you get the bottom corners
You don't have to go to the bottom corners. The tire doesn't make contact there. Only the top of the fenders is the issue.
He said Phoenix AZ and I subbed 😂
Same lmao 😂😂
Lol that's what's happening to me right now but don't want to roll my fenders.
Anyone using the roller on a 8 lug truck?

Its because it is lower, with wide wheels and meaty tires.
