Sniping is a good job mate. Challenging work in the outdoors. I guarantee you won’t go hungry. Because at the end of the day, as long there are two people left on the planet someone is going to want someone dead.
Build: The monster hunter Cloths: priest vestments Main Weapons: railway rifle black powder guns double barrel & combat shotgun revolvers Throwing weapons: Molotov cocktails grenades Alternate weapons: harpoon gun flamer crossbow and bladed weapon. (Machete swords etc.) Back story: the monster hunter grew up in a very religious family who's mother & father worked at the local church. Despite that and his patients disapproval they grew to love fantasy & horror comic books and radio dramas like tales from the West Virginia hills. Though he eventually grew up he never really lost his interest in cryipids monsters an the supernatural in general. Leaving the vault an seeing the many monstrous things like the scorched super mutants and even more dark an sinister things that lurk in the darkness an depths of Appalachia. If these things threaten the innocent of the land then he knows what he must do. (Basically think fallout van helsing and killing raiders also fine)
One thing I will forever stand by is how well Fo76 does it weapons. The weapons feel so damn good, they feel like they have weight and power behind them. Especially shotguns and snipers.
I want to agree, but the damage drop off at range kind of ruins snipers for me. Shotguns are definitely great in the game and the overall weapon feel is solid, just still bumbed out about snipers being less effective at long range
So, I've been playing this build and a couple of others since I came back to the game for wastelanders. Had the first death today, versus a level 68 three star legendary Charred Ghoul. This was after I killed two normal Charred Ghouls at the same level. I was level 15. (there were 100+ and 200+ characters in the cell) This is, in my opinion, a very powerful build.
My own twist: drifter outfit/any long coat, any fedora, a revolver secondary(not great against strong enemies, but better than you’d expect/more realistic)
I've always been confused on legendary modules, and I know they changed with the wastelanders uodate, but us there a way I can get a legendary hunting rifle? Or is it just random luck?
I wish the .50 was viable. It just doesn't come close to the gauss. also, not sure about a handmade over a fixer. lastly, I find it handy to carry a shotgun for when you're confined to close quarters.
I got a question and it would be really helpful for anyone to respond. Is a two shot 50 cal sniper or a armor piercing( I have both available but I don’t know if having just higher damage or better armor piercing)
I usually make a no vats sniper build. be it in new vegas, 3, 4 or 76, though in 76 is the ONLY time I take lone wondering, idk why-- as that the time you play with other people, but meh... I just never use that perk but in 76 I more often play by myself, (cause dont really have friends to play with or never on at sametime as in the other games I DO have companions
Not certain if you want it to be lower or higher. If lower, that's impossible. If higher, sure, there are benefits to having higher strength (mainly carry capacity) but you will have to decide which of the other stats you're happy to reduce.
Thanks for the video. It was most informative. Now, can you explain how your weapons were so light? They were 6, 8 and 9 pounds. How? Is there some perk that does that? Thanks.
The mentioned special stats are the minimum to get the perks he listed. He also mentions you have 15 other stat points by max level for flexibility, so I assume he dipped into Strength.
I've been using this build and idk it just isn't putting out sufficient damage killing anything everything take at least 3 shots to kill even hidden at night All 9 tiers of rifleman , covert ops, and mister sandman
Unfortunately 76 is more of a DPS game in general, and this build is from the early days so there's been a few damage based patches since this video came out. Technically you can still make a sniper build work (albeit not in a way where you'll be clearing fights quicker than any high tier builds) but it's only really a playstyle to go for if it's the only one you like. I switched my rifleman character over to commando to try and make sure he could get by in the game.
@@BADCompanySarge thanks for replying and I have notice that non automatic rifle builds dont work very well in events or op situations where you need to clear out enemies out quickly with dps I do prefer sniping because of the unique factor instead of using flamers and gatlings all the time
Sadly I doubt it would be all that good. I haven't been playing much 76 in a while but when I last was dps builds were the thing to go for, especially Bloodied builds. While this character definitely gives a baseline for how to play as a sniper, a sniper build itself is one of the less effective ways to get through combat encounters. The game is much more designed for clearing your way through a horde of tanky enemies as opposed to carefully picking off high value targets.

great build and great story to back it up, thank you...
Cheers

Thank you for making content for this game!!!
Happy to do so, will be plenty more to cover once Wastelanders comes out.
Y e s
awesome build as usual sir !
Cheers
What about a Leader build?
Maybe taking inspiration from someone like.. Negan.

How did I do it? Hint "I used to be an adventurer like you"
Until I took a bullet to the knee
-Charred feral ghoul

Playing a sniper with your pip-boy light on. Whyyyy?
How would you do a Children of Atom build in 76 with what we are given? I’d be curious to see your thoughts on this
praise be ATOM! may his glow cover the earth
I've always been confused on legendary modules, and I know they changed with the wastelanders uodate, but us there a way I can get a legendary hunting rifle? Or is it just random luck?
Legendary modules are just for crafting Wastelanders legendary weapons and armor. For most legendaries you're just looking at random drops.
Don't know if you're still playing, but you can now craft legendaries. Huzzah!
Ever since I started wearing the Chinese stealth suit the game has been on easy mode
The Stealth Suit is pretty damn cool
Can you build a battle medic? That would be awesome.
That would be cool
Can I use class freak just to lower the mutation effects?
Sure
Do you still stand by this build, given how special points matter again in wastelanders, for NPC conversations?
As long as you have 8 perception or 8 charisma or 8 strength you're Gucci
Lone Wanderer is just the atronach stone for Fallout 76
These days I rarely use it, as even when playing alone I make sure to be on a public team for the extra Intelligence
I wish the .50 was viable. It just doesn't come close to the gauss. also, not sure about a handmade over a fixer. lastly, I find it handy to carry a shotgun for when you're confined to close quarters.
I really wish snipers in general worked better in the game, the ridiculous damage drop off really makes it hard to play long range

How did you get the assault rifles that have that much damage on them?
Love the Fallout 76 builds, why not use Nukes Dragons website to show us some more?
*shocked gasp* Yohan! Didn't know you watched sarge
Ian Mecklenburg I love Sarge! He’s been a great help to the Fallout Community
@@yohangaming2867 he has! I'm a great fan of both of your work, i actually forgot you had a YT channel.
Ian Mecklenburg thank you, it’s used for larger video ideas but mainly to keep you all up to date with Fallout 76 comings and goings
Would eagle eyes be a suitable mutation for this build?
Do you run a gtx 2070 to run this game in ultra in 4k? cause i for sure can't run smoothly with my gtx 1060 6gb in 1080p
I've got a 1080Ti
So? You just keep the single point that they give you to start with in the Strength category??
Not certain if you want it to be lower or higher.

I've got armour with the legendary effect "Weapons weigh 20% less". Think it's only a couple of pieces but makes all the difference.
How do you have 420 carry weight is 1 strength?
The mentioned special stats are the minimum to get the perks he listed. He also mentions you have 15 other stat points by max level for flexibility, so I assume he dipped into Strength.
Since wastelanders is out you should make bow build next 😊👍
Already working on one, will take some time to get everything I need though.
I didn’t know vast was useful in sniper builded and wouldn’t Tenderizer be better
I use a park ranger hat and army fatigues and play as a army sniper drill sergeant. 😂
How are you getting 180 base damage on this gun?
Pretty sure he is using .50 cal receivers. .308 hunting rifle and 5.56mm handmade rifle are my go two combo.
A build for me :D Sniper is def in my top neck and beck with the Enforcer
I always default towards snipers so was about time I made a dedicated sniper build in 76
I've been using this build and idk it just isn't putting out sufficient damage killing anything everything take at least 3 shots to kill even hidden at night

Sun kissed u keep mutations
Can you please do a Heavy weapons build
I do want to make one but it will be quite some time away. Got to wait for Wastelanders before I start work on the next build
Still viable today?

Without Legendaries then you're doing crap damage even with these perks.
I'm glad my older bro knows what's good because otherwise I'd be using garbage xD
Bro I used to have a two shot explosive guass rifle and I sold it to like 1k caps because I thought it was getting super nerfd
Chinese stealth armor
I think I’m fine with my max 2.4k damage
Of course it’s a two shot
Sorry, this build is kinda joke. There are way more important perks for rifleman...
Like?
Don't do what he says this is a fake sniper builder
I am indeed a fake sniper, I don't actually know what a scope is
