Diann, that’s great you were able to figure out how to sew the front of your pretty red dress! Glad to your going to see a new specialist. I will keep praying. I hope you had fun at your Valentine’s banquet ❤
The beautiful twist front dress looks wonderful on you, Diann. Good job hanging in there. Hope you continue to be encouraged in your journey to preserve your vision. Blessings for wellness! -Kelly
Hi Diann, Your dress looks lovely the colour really suits you. You are so clever working out what looks like a very complicated construction...I would have given up. I am really pleased your eyes are improving. xx
You look great in your red dress! The twist feature is attractive and sure flatters the figure. Well done. I'm so glad you received encouraging news about your eye.
The red dress is fantastic! I agree about having to feel comfortable wearing something but you won't know if you don't try. So glad you found a new specialist for your eye and yes, I have been praying for you and will not stop! Can't believe you're blaming your pattern purchase on poor Grace 😁! Seriously, she is a real inspiration, as she always says she wants to be - and so are you!
Thank you SO much for that! You are right… I feel like I learn more from my “Mistakes” than successes. And if I don’t try different patterns… I won’t ever advance any. Thank you for praying for me! God is definitely hearing and answering. I am so grateful to Him, you and others who are praying! Poor Grace… she makes every pattern she makes look amazing! She is beautiful. I do love her channel. Thanks again for every kindness! Have a great week! ❤️
Diann, the red dress looks lovely on you, and three cheers for figuring out the front twist! A proud sewist moment!! Continued prayers for eye health and a doctor who listens to you and your concerns.
Thank you SO much! I’m not sure I figured it out… but, it’s close enough 🤣 Thank you for praying for my eye! I am so grateful… and thank you for watching! Have a great weekend! ❤️
Hi Diann, I am so thankful to God. Your vision has improved some. I love the dress you're wearing, and you picked up some beautiful beautiful fabric patterns! Have a blessed day and happy sewing.❤
❤Diann you look lovely in the red dress❤. I would have needed full instructions for that design, people moan about the Big 4 patterns but I'm sure the instructions would have been far more comprehensive than a few arrows 😂. Such a pretty blouse on you as well. What a fab bunch of patterns, 6298 I found to be oversized so just a warning! 6095 was my favourite dress pattern last year and I included it in my favourite 5, I also made the bag. 6404 is my go to for PJs for Chris, they are wonderful. So glad your eye has improved a little and you are seeing a new specialist. Have a wonderful weekend and thanks for a great video xx🍓
Hi Carole! Thank you so much for watching! I agree… the big 4 get a bad wrap many times! I have never seen such little instruction on anything before. Thank you for the warning about 6298… I am having trouble with making things too big in the top half and not big enough in the lower. I’m glad you found the PJ pattern so good. I do love pajamas. If they don’t for 100% perfect… I still wear them! 🤣 Thanks so much Carole… you are a treasure! ❤️
Thank You SO much! I need to get better at fitting but, I do love the red fabric. I hate you can’t get the NL patterns there. I know we are fortunate to have such easy access to patterns. Thanks so much for watching! ❤️
Hi Diann, You look great in the red dress. Twist fronts can be tricky but you nailed it. So figure flattering on you. I love all your New Look patterns. New Look patterns are my favorite. Thank you for the shout out. I truly appreciate your kind words so much. 🥰🥰 I'm happy to hear your eyes are improving. No worries, prayers won't stop.✝😘Have a great weekend sewing! 🪡❤❤❤
Thank you Grace! I look forward to seeing your videos every week. I appreciate every prayer. I hope you have a wonderful weekend as well! And thank you for watching and every kindness ❤️
Beautiful makes and I'm so happy to hear about your eye. My mother has this and I know your struggles with uncertainty. Have a good week. Greensboro, NC
Thank you SO much! I hate your Mother has to go through this! The dread of what’s going to happen is real. I sure do appreciate you so much! Hope you have a great weekend in Greensboro! We’re practically neighbors! ❤️
You did such a good job love the dress looks amazing I agree style arc are very short on instructions i have quiet a few getting better of understanding them love watching you 😊😊
Diann, I just love visiting with you, and thank you for mentioning Grace's channel she is a friend of mine, and I think she can sew anything. I am so proud of her.
Oh Mary! I had no idea y’all were friends! I am a little jealous! I wish I was closer and we could spend time together! Thank you for watching! ❤️ Diann
@@Silver_Threads_Sewing Diann, my surgery went ok, but I got very sick from the Anastasia and had to go to the E.R. I am better now. Thank you for praying for me.
The “instructions” for the wrap on the front of the dress would have made me walk away. I’m so impressed that you figured it out! It looks so beautiful on you.
Oh Erin… I struggled a long time… and considered throwing it away! It is a pretty design… but, I’m not sure it’s my best look. Thank you so much for watching. I hope your family is doing good. I’ve missed you! Have a great weekend! ❤️
Hello Diann! Love your new look patterns and I have several of them in my pattern stash. I like your Rhapsody top( have it in my pattern stash too, lol!!! ) but I think yours is a bit too big. It’s a cute top and I really like the fabric. But I think if you’re like me ,,,we just don’t have enough shoulder, to hold our clothes on us correctly and our clothes just off of us, and it sure drives me batty! Maybe you can adjust it somehow plus adding elastic to the sleeve cuff areas makes it really adorable! I truly hope this isn’t a taken as criticism, just an observation. Hope you are doing ok. I’m scheduled for my left knee to be replaced April 2. I’m ready but scared too of another blood clot. They are so scary! I had one occur a wk after my two surgery back operation Almost three years ago and it then traveled to both lungs! Soo scary!!! Please remember me in prayers too as it gets closer, not really that long away. Take care and keep sewing! I’m trying! Nancy from Fort Wayne. Ps prayers for your eyes too, ongoing as always!!!
Hi Nancy! I did make this one a little bigger… I can’t stand anything being too close fitting and I err on the side of making it too big. I have terrible posture and I need the extra width on my back but not in front. I don’t take it as criticism at all… just honest opinions! I do like the sleeves better with elastic. I will surely be praying… blood clots are scary! Please take care… and keep me posted! I will be praying. Have a good weekend and thank you! ❤️
Thanks for showing the limited indy pattern instructions. The red sash dress turned out lovely, despite the puzzle-like guidance. I love a back seam in a shirt or dress since it makes it very comfortable and flattering to wear. Another viewer commented on the size of your shirt and you mentioned your posture. Maybe research doing a round back adjustment to the back of your patterns. This might give you more room where you need it in the back but not all that extra fabric in the front. This may give you that “slightly fitted” look versus baggy. You’re too good of a sewist to hide yourself within your me-mades 😊.
Thank you SO much! I agree… I need to figure out how to make the neck/shoulders fit me without making the back and lower half too tight. Thank You for the suggestion!! I will keep you posted! Thanks so much for watching and for the advice! ❤️
Great makes. May I suggest that you might want to size down at least one size in the shoulder/neck and bodice areas. You appear to have a very small frame. I have the same issues with things being a little bit big in those areas. I really enjoy your videos. They are always interesting and helpful.
Thank you so much! I agree… I have to figure out where to decrease size and where to keep it big enough. Fitting has always been even a difficulty for me. I appreciate your suggestion and thanks for watching! ❤️
Thank you for telling me! I will definitely check that out. When I searched by the pattern name… nothing came up but, I will look again under Style Arc. ❤️
