    I absolutely love these bikes particularly this one. I've wanted to build one for years now and your videos have really helped me with some struggles I've had trying to brain storm on making it work. I hope more content and coverage comes of these beautiful builds of yours I absolutely love them and cannot get enough of them.

    Hello Steve. I love your bikes and videos. I have an indian btr with a 196 that I've had since December and I can't get the carb to idle down no matter how I adjust it. I've had 3 different carbs on it and I'm lost. What carb do you use on your 196? Also, what do you use for the motor brace mounted to the front of the loop? Thanks again

    • @EDGClassics
      @EDGClassics  3 года назад

      Hello Daniel! Thanks for the kind words! I’m sorry about your carb. I’ve had the best luck with the Honda replacement carbs. They have a few more adjustment capabilities thank the stock ones. It’s hard to determine why your idle won’t come down without seeing your setup but could you possibly have an air leak somewhere near the intake or an air vent plugged/capped off? Those would cause an issue with the idle for sure. As for the braces, I usually make my own using miscellaneous metal and made specifically for the engine and frame I’m using.

    How do you build your frames to use old bicycle frames or do you make it from scratch

    • @mozezcen-valley7555
      @mozezcen-valley7555 3 года назад

      By the way the gas tank is spot-on looks really cool before looking at your videos I was thinking to do something similar with the knobs but I'll look around at different board tracks models and see what I like Harley-Davidson looks amazing but that's not the type of bike I'm building at the moment

    • @EDGClassics
      @EDGClassics  3 года назад

      The frames I use are NOT bicycles frames. They are build specifically for these type of motor bikes. This frame was made by Harken Cycles.

    • @EDGClassics

      On this bike, I used a Honda GC190. I’ve used the GC160 on other builds as well. Both engines have worked well for me.

  • @dentonthomas5622
    @dentonthomas5622 3 года назад +1

    I dont want to use the honda engine. Do you think a Briggs and Stratton 5hp engine would work?

    • @EDGClassics
      @EDGClassics  3 года назад

      I’ve seen plenty of other builders use the Briggs engines. They are very dependable and you can easily make one work on your frame. I’m sure a few minor adjustments will have to be made but you can definitely make it work. Good luck!
