- This week I visited the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk on their celebration of the Giant Dipper's 100th Anniversary. Join me on this special occasion of this landmark coaster and see the full firework show on the beach. The Giant Dipper is the 4th oldest coaster in the United States and has over 68 million rides. I love riding the Giant Dipper with my dad every time my dad and I go to the boardwalk and ride the Dipper.
The very 1st time I rode the Giant Dipper was with my pops. We rode up in the front. It was night time. That was back in the 70s. Anytime I get to go to Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk I ll ride the Giant Dipper every time I go there. Only times I didn t go on the ride was when I wasn t big enough to ride it yet

Over 6 million passengers on the Giant Dipper. I m honored to be just 1 of them. I lost my baseball cap and a pair of sunglasses while riding Giant Dipper one time
Were you able to get them back? I lost a hat one time on Pirates at Disneyland.
