How does one get to the part at the beginning of the video where you pull out the large mortise mechanism? I can’t get the deadbolt price where the key goes in off. Am I supposed to insert the key halfway and then rotate the whole lock counter clockwise until it’s out? I unscrewed the deadbolt screw from inside the door and took the strike cover thing off but the deadbolt won’t budge. I guess it could be stuck but I don’t want to break the key off in the lock on accident. Am I missing something? The Schlage how to install video shows the guy just inserting the key halfway into the lock and turn it clockwise until it’s in. Thanks.
