Vande Mataram was sung by Rabindranath Tagore in 1896 and music was given by him only.
Later in Anandamath film made in 1952, the song was sung by Hemant Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar, and the music was composed by Hemant Kumar.

Vande mataram was first sung in 1896 in Bidon Street Kolkata in an anti British gathering by Rabindranath Tagore. The original composition was done by Tagore only in raga Desh in kawali style...
