I've not seen any info on weapon vaults, how many weapons can we save, how easy can we access them. In Bl2 I had in excess of 20 extra characters solely for their vaults.
the best parts about the skill trees is that they aren't just something that i'll only use in one branch. and how the skills cooperate together like zanes ice skills.
1:40 Unironically I only used the mech at level 5 with moze because I forgot what the action button was because I skipped the tutorial. I was in the boss fight with Mouthpiece and accidentally hit F and OH MY GOD! I absolutely manhandled all the small enemies and started chomping down on the bosses HP. I did level up and improve the mech the whole time because I thought maybe I'll unlock it soon and I'll want to use it the whole time and then figured out you got it pretty much from the beginning. Sweet 😊
Didn't realize you were a Borderlands fan. I am a subscriber to OWcentral. You ended up in my recommendations and I decided to check you out and recognized your voice. You would probably get a few more subscribers if you dropped a mention of your channel over there.
What I love the most about the skill trees is how the action skills themselves (and pets, for Fl4k) and augments don’t cost skill points. You can literally swap between them at any time without respeccing. Have Amara’s action skill that deals shock damage and come upon a Shock Badass? You can just pause the game, go in your skill tree, and change it, then kill it and swap back when you’re done. That’s so awesome. I still kind of think the way the trees are set up encourages you to stick with one to unlock the augment(s) you want, and the capstones are still pretty good, too, but I can see how you’re not completely bound to one tree like with Krieg or whatever.
he's right. if you go look at the character builder on the website, you have INSANE freedom. There's already a couple or more builds per character I wanna mess with all entirely different. The flexibility is awesome!
Well one thing about borderlands 2 is I never changed my build this game I'm going to change with the trees more because they are all really good unlike the last one that had one really good skill tree . I still think the way to play is max out one tree fast get that last skill he makes it sound like really dont have to but end skills always dope still.
As far as going into multiple trees, I never just went into 1 tree in BL2 I went into 2 as siren and the guy with the turret and both were end game top of end game actually, did it all solo
Just really excited to get my hands on BL3 this weekend and dive into Zane & FL4K! BL2 was able to keep my attention for 7 years, so I'm looking forward to playing the ever loving shit out of BL3 for the next 7.
If the 30% chance for a grenade to crit still affects all splash damage, those Atlas pistols that use splash damage and can track for 30 seconds will be wicked on Moze.
XoRandomGuyoX unless they changed how grenade damage works, and made it so that splash damage isn’t counted as grenade damage anymore. I feel like as fun as that made certain builds in bl2, it also low key made no sense that splash damage was “grenade damage”
Yeah, I thought this was kind of odd -- if the skill means all splash damage, it should say all splash damage. But the skill very clearly says "grenades". Is the skill description wrong, or is this dev recalling the mechanics wrong?
Well, in previous borderlands games it would say grenade damage and knowledgeable players would know that included splash damage, but since they’re trying to make things more straightforward, I have a theory that it’s possible it has been changed
Yeah, the thing is, all other skills in the tree specifically say "splash damage", not grenade damage, so it'd be inconsistent if this instance of referring to grenades actually meant all splash damage.
if that’s the case, then they definitely have changed it right? I mean it’s possible they didn’t but I don’t think they’d make that distinction otherwise
When I think of the possible inspiration behind ZANE... Immediately, what comes to mind is John Wick..a hitman.. John Wick in many of his gunplay scenes is constantly moving, and it seems like the more kills, he stacks up - the more lethal he becomes... Very similar to Zane.
As a Krieg player, I can totally agree with him being late game. I don't know if you mentioned in the video, because I'm five minutes in, but just in case you don't, the hellborn tree is a mess. It starts you with skills that keep you on fire, but you get no benefits from being on fire until later in. If you plant a stuck into that tree, you got to save up like 15 points, because the skills are literally a hinderance until you get the damage resistance while on fire, and healing Elemental damage. Those are halfway up the damn tree.
Fl4k is an interesting character in that I can imagine playing them without any cornerstones. Two of them seem really good (Megavore and the power inside) and the last one seems very interesting but I could imagine it being not that viable, depending on the enemies it can work on. Like, if it works on literally any enemy it'd be way too insane (after all, that would mean that you get a quarter of a raidbosses health for free) but at the same time it should at least work on some of the stronger enemies so it gives you an actual advantage.
my only question is how well will the connection from the player to the server react like for example on warframe everyone has a separate connection that isnt combusting connection rate to point itll crash, is the multiplayer a single connection or will it run upon the host wifi
@@captainlag51 can't say for certain to that, sorry. But it Will probably be done to some amount of either of those or both. So host connection and or yours. If you've played bl1+2 I'd imagine like those games but hopefully better with them improving the net code to allow a easier and smoother connection.
No servers, peer2peer. It's all about the internet stability between you and your partners. (great, imo, I'll still be able to coop it a decade later when hosting servers for the game is no longer financially viable for gearbox :p)
On things for certain, I'm having a much harder time deciding who I want to start out with. It was easy in the past because it was based on specific weapon types that I knew I'd be using but thats also why I would play each game with 2 or 3 characters at the most because because rest didn't appeal to me. This may be the first time I play through with every character.
These are such good changes to this game. I can’t believe how amazing Borderlands 3 sounds and how much effort they go into their game. This is literally going to be my favorite game since GTA5.
Grym That’s your opinion my dude and you are entitled to it. Personally I put more hours into GTA5 online then I did most games. For Honor being my most with 65 days worth of play time which is over 1,300 hours.
I recently just saw that Video on YT where Fl4k was able to take down the Boss Mode in under 5 mins. There is a technique where he is (as the Video here examples) able to CRIT 8 seconds after activating stealth. And got a damage boost through that stack of Crit bonus he was able to catch up. So ...stack and win ! I think he will a bit OP at first. Hope he will be balanced if im right tho :)
My gut wasn’t wrong again, Zane sounds like my character. Movement focused and SMG favored, my loves! Ended up loving Axton in BL2 because of the amount of damage I was able to pull off with a Hyperion ballistic SMG. Everything died!
I like that they removed bonuses to specific types of weapons from the skill trees. In BL2 you were sort of forced into using certain types of weapons due to the bonuses within a skill tree. BL3 will give players a lot more freedom to just pick up whichever weapon you like. EDIT: Typed this before finishing the video and they actually mentioned this later on.
From what I understand, I’ll just briefly go over their appeals if you want a character that has pets and command them tactically/ or a sniper character that focuses on headshots with jackobs weapons; go flak. If you want someone that plays like a titan fall character that is both a tank and deathmachine/ or a gunzerker equivalent that hardly runs out of ammo and dishes out crazy damage at end game; go Moze. If you want a character that uses their skill moves more than guns and be basically a wizard that hardly uses guns/ a character who’s role is to juggle groups of enemies with elemental damage and gets in enemies faces; go Amara If you want a character that can make any gun good, master of weaponry; and just gets deadlier every time they get a kill, and have soo many bonuses and be rewarded for having both skill and planning/ or simply want a run and gun Rambo character; go Zane. I maybe wrong on these, but I’m pretty confident with the skill trees they released, these are what the basic play styles they are catering to. IMO, it’s better to play around with all of them for a few levels and pick the one you just like.
Not only do I want to see a larger variety of builds. I also hope they don't have those "go-to" legendaries that pigeonhole you into builds either. In BL2, you farmed the fastball/DPUH, Lyuda/Conference Call/Sandhawk/Beeshield and maybe a couple others...and that was it.
There's always gonna be optimal gear, though framing it as 'you gotta have this' is disengeniuos. Slag was pretty lame and basically required in uvhm(good riddance), but I certainly didn't have to beehawk to play the game lol.
@@KochDerDamonen But the fact you mentioned it as the beehawk certainly goes a long way to show how broken certain synergies were. I am not saying there won't be some optimal builds, but weapons, shields and mods can go a long way to creating a larger variety of them.
@Grym Not necessarily, once you get into OP levels or Raid Bosses. Very specific gear is needed. Sure, you CAN hit level 30 with world and quest drops, maybe level 50. But trying OP levels without a Grog with Salvador? You will be in FFYL constantly. No Anarchy on Gaige? Good luck doing enough damage with that nice shotgun. My hope is that some legendaries won't overpower others, and that more builds are viable at endgame, so you can build what you want rather than have the same 2-3 builds. Yes, I do understand a lot of it comes down to how much health the enemies have, the over-reliance on slag and the overall balancing (which BL2 was pretty bad at) but my point still stands, make legendaries useful, not just a handful of them.
The fact you can sacrifice the 200% crit so you and make every shot a critical and fire unlimited shots in fade is going to be crazy. Choosing between playing Fl4k or Amara first is so hard. Punch everything to death or crit them to death 🤔
Y has no-one asked about higher rarity like pearls and sereph weapons, maybe there's a new rarity or etech. What about those Alien parts, eridian guns etc. These are things we need to know.
Vault Hunters look poweful like in BL2 , Guns look really powerful like in BL1 & from what i've seen not a lot of people (complete Borderlands noobs especially) are having a hard time completely facerolling any of the missions deathless so i'm a little worried this game will be super easy compared to the first 2 . In BL1 you're underlevelled you get wrecked & in BL2 you don't play carefully you get wrecked but in this game i'm not seeing anyone have a hard time . Idk easy content gets really old really fast hopefully there's something challenging after level 50 or i can't see this game having longevity of previous games .
@@KochDerDamonen Looks like Normal mode BL2 now with decent gear yeah but that's 7 years old when that first released you'd be dying to boom bewm & flynt especially pretty easily at launch , some of the "gamers" i've watched playing this are brand new to the series & awful gamer's who havn't even used an action skill in 20 minutes & gone through like a knife through butter . the best parts about the skill trees is that they aren't just something that i'll only use in one branch. and how the skills cooperate together like zanes ice skills.
Great video

Unironically I only used the mech at level 5 with moze because I forgot what the action button was because I skipped the tutorial.
You would probably get a few more subscribers if you dropped a mention of your channel over there.
will do around launch no doubt!
I played this at e3 and it gonna be the game of the year🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Game of many years there fixed it for ya

Im rolling siren because i'm all about aesthetics
"If you wanna play a sniper Krieg"
*Laughs in Bloodlust and Vladof sniper*
It's not very efficient but it's really fun.
It would be cool if we could use all action skills and from there, we can build on how we play how we play.
at least I can have my siren all to my self in this game
I can't wait any longer arghhhhhhhh
Action skill at lvl2??? That means 48 skill points at launch
Yup and remember that the augments don't cost skill points, from what I've seen you can get a full tree and about 75% of another tree..ish
@@iakonasisler4808 yeah online they have interactive skill trees
Its definitely 50? I thought i waa 30 for some reason this time
@@-pressxtostart- It's 50. Their official build calculator allows level 50.
maliwan shotguns? Sounds like a ton of fun
I dont think they tried (not to make character strong until x level) with amara compared to everybody else
“That sounds okay I guess...and then you try it and it’s busted”
Literally blood bath lol 😂
Did you do overwatch or some other content on another Chanell your voice is familiar
But is there a legendary class mod that let's you have multiple pets out!?
Chris Hancock As amazing as that would be, it’d be completely overpowered lol
The 13th is soo close...…………….

The skill trees are really great on BL3. The capstone abilities are complimentary instead of game changing.
The way chris brock shook his leg he wants to play borderlands 3 really bad
Zane got slight nerfs but hes still my main. They swapped his capstone in blue tree, its seein red now
That's weird
my only question is how well will the connection from the player to the server react like for example on warframe everyone has a separate connection that isnt combusting connection rate to point itll crash, is the multiplayer a single connection or will it run upon the host wifi
There is probably going to be no server, so only pier to pier
@@Willow4526 that meaning will be able to run off host wifi or struggle of my own
@@captainlag51 can't say for certain to that, sorry.
@@KochDerDamonen kind of wish it had a kind of more stable connection to a mainline server so im goin struggle like hell all this tellin me
Will we have the option to play a second character "boosted" like in BL2, or start from level 1 every time.
There will be new game +
That was only at the end of borderlands 2 life cycle to allow new players to play the dlc without grinding to much
Don't be alittle bitch XD.. level them up.

Grym
That’s your opinion my dude and you are entitled to it.
Well, I suppose "encouraged" would have been a better word for it, but the point is that I find it a positive change.
This certainly changed who I think I am going to try first!
Ni Do well, who are you picking? 😁
@@BackpackerBlokker I'm really starting to feel Moze! Excessive grenades and explosions sounds like a lot of fun.
Ni Do true! I'm probably going zane but it's so hard... All characters are so cool in their own way
@@BackpackerBlokker so true. It's a hard decision. Zane is probably my next choice. But Siren slamming around sounds fun too!!
Ni Do amara does seem to be underrated af, idk why she isn't that appealing, cause she damn well should be
I don't know yet who I'm going to play with
@Mayan Ruins I like Amara but i also like the others
From what I understand, I’ll just briefly go over their appeals
if you want a character that has pets and command them tactically/ or a sniper character that focuses on headshots with jackobs weapons; go flak.
If you want someone that plays like a titan fall character that is both a tank and deathmachine/ or a gunzerker equivalent that hardly runs out of ammo and dishes out crazy damage at end game; go Moze.
If you want a character that uses their skill moves more than guns and be basically a wizard that hardly uses guns/ a character who’s role is to juggle groups of enemies with elemental damage and gets in enemies faces; go Amara
If you want a character that can make any gun good, master of weaponry; and just gets deadlier every time they get a kill, and have soo many bonuses and be rewarded for having both skill and planning/ or simply want a run and gun Rambo character; go Zane.
I maybe wrong on these, but I’m pretty confident with the skill trees they released, these are what the basic play styles they are catering to. IMO, it’s better to play around with all of them for a few levels and pick the one you just like.
@@DaWishard Thanks for the good information man
Not only do I want to see a larger variety of builds. I also hope they don't have those "go-to" legendaries that pigeonhole you into builds either.
In BL2, you farmed the fastball/DPUH, Lyuda/Conference Call/Sandhawk/Beeshield and maybe a couple others...and that was it.
Amen basically being forced to use a Harold and grog nozzle made the game boring after a while.
@Grym You know, I am just trying to discuss a game and you come in here and start insulting, fuck you, you garbage human being.
Where is moze's passive that says explosions can crit?
Pull the holy pin each chance adds 10% at a max of 30% add that with redistribution and boom every critical hit adds ammo for 3 seconds
Maliwan shotgun.... that’s gonna be insane
Bl1 had Maliwan shotguns.
I plan on doing a flamethrower Iron Bear build based on Scorch from Titanfall 2, looking forward to seeing how that turns out.
A fellow man of culture.
The fact you can sacrifice the 200% crit so you and make every shot a critical and fire unlimited shots in fade is going to be crazy. Choosing between playing Fl4k or Amara first is so hard. Punch everything to death or crit them to death 🤔
Early perks are stronger cap stones aren't as OP. Also some builds (Fire moze) has you go earlish in all the skill trees.
Am I the only one who noticed he missed a chest in the cargo hold area when he fell down
Y has no-one asked about higher rarity like pearls and sereph weapons, maybe there's a new rarity or etech. What about those Alien parts, eridian guns etc. These are things we need to know.
Amara for me so everyone can feel all the elements at the same time :)
Gameplay after 8:56 so satisfying
Looks like a lot of normal mode with decent gear. Besides that, pretty much all the gameplay is from longtime vets of the series :p
If they have no hardcore modes I won't play and buy dlc
@@KochDerDamonen Looks like Normal mode BL2 now with decent gear yeah but that's 7 years old when that first released you'd be dying to boom bewm & flynt especially pretty easily at launch , some of the "gamers" i've watched playing this are brand new to the series & awful gamer's who havn't even used an action skill in 20 minutes & gone through like a knife through butter .
